Great big room and great food
Nices and quiet
Friendly staff, pleasant atmospheric restaurant, nice family room.
Nothing really bad. Slightly tired bathroom decor and slightly feeble shower...
the new decor. & choice on menu
stains on throw over on four poster bed. cold room on arrival . burning hot tap on bath had to use towel to turn water off. meal not cooked to request , to slow bringing meal back , so cancelled.
Spotless clean room comfortable bed
We could not get wifi in our rm, rm 19.
Room were clean and well decorated, staff were very helpful and friendly. Food in the Ravensworth Arms was average but the decor was excellent.
Nothing to complain about, some of the meal sizes could have been slightly larger.
I have stayed here with my partner a couple of time thats why we returned this time and its always been spot on in every aspect of our stay. Apart from the wifi its never worked for me but that is no big deal as i have unlimited data to use on my phone anyways. So all in all a brilliant stay.
Surroundings, food choices, pleasant staff.
Nothing to dislike
Ravensworth has a lovely restaurant serving great meals and continental as well as cooked breakfast. Rooms at the Ravensworth are really clean both in hotel and the little cottages. Great location for Newcastle town Centre and the Metro Centre. Loved the stay here and found the staff very helpful.
Helpfulness of staff, room, location, very friendly staff, professionally run, already booked my next stay
Couldn't open hotel window, but that is nothing to complain about,
Would stay here again and if we are traveling that way again will certainly be going back here. :) xx
Staff really friendly and helpful. Rooms although smelt a bit and need updated were clean . Nice atmosphere in restaurant /bar
Rooms need updating were a bit tired and old looking. Also could smell drains in bathroom which made our room smell. Disappointed with standard of our meals in restaurant.
Lovely north east welcome.value food and drinks .good breakfast .a little out of Gateshead or Newcastle but budget 12 each way for taxi .much better value than city on Friday or Saturday night.come summer you get a cracking beer garden and view of Angel of the North
Make sure rooms are warm especially winter having said that was due to close for 5 days for refurbished public areas so can only get better .rooms are lovely .7 8 9 ,views over open country at back.
friendly staff good food and comfortable room.
Poor wifi coverage in room in the outside blocks
location was excellent, friendly staff, both for the hotel and the restaurant. The room was very nice, and excellent value for money. We will definitely be going back.
Kettle didn't switch off, but other than that we have no complaints.
The hotel was easy to find and very close and convenient for the A1 yet very quiet. It was also close to the Metro Centre which we visited and close to family we were visiting We liked the quiet room in the separate building a few yards away from main hotel building and think this would be great at busier times when there might be some general hotel noise at night. We also liked the porch with separate lockable door as this helped keep out the very cold weather during our stay. Both the variety of food and choices for breakfast and the large cooked breakfast were all excellent. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again
Minor points only really- one of the bedside lights did not work even with a bulb change and I could not get wi fi at all despite numerous attempts and guidance from the room info pack and advice from staff. We dined in the hotel one night and the food quality was good but we found the portions a bit on the small side particularly in contrast to the large cooked breakfast. Bathroom facilities were fine but starting to get ready for a bit of makeover.
Staff were helpful, food very good and reasonably priced. Very good choice for coeliacs with virtually full breakfast, including gluten free sausage and bread.
Room was tight for space but we managed.
Nice location. Remote but close enough to main access route.
In the outlying chalets the wifi was intermittent.
Good size room and convenience of family friendly pub.
I could hear the toilet hand dryers and door banging when people left the pub from the room.
A lovely pub with a great team running it. Obviously a lot of pride in what they do, reflected in the standards of service and product quality provided. Great value and easy to recommend to anyone either to simply pop in for a meal or a drink or a function or party.
Nothing not to like. A credit to the company and the staff team
Staff, food, both excellent,
The room I was in was right in view of the pub sign which was lit up all night so I was kept awake by it
comfortable bed. nice shower.
Room 10 - One of the heaters was broken. No devices could pick up the free wifi.
The room and service
We somehow got a four poster bedded room. What a room that was. Excellent. Food was delicious, and a good price. Staff where very friendly
All over the hotel the heating was on full blast, way too hot, so we turned ours off in our room, and opened all the windows. It was minus 4 outside, but was over 100 degrees in the hotel!!!
