Good quality, comfortable accomodation with all facilities that would be expected for this type of hotel. Food from restaurant was only just acceptable. steak over cooked, sausages at breakfast dried out / hard. |

Modest yet nice design. Clean and comfortable room. You can expect to find everything basic you could expect from a budget hotel. It was good to stay there. A bit far from city centre. Expect to pay £10-15 for a taxi. I could not make Wifi to work. |

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was smart. A great location for our trip to Beamish. The bathroom was extremely hot. The heated mirror was on all the time and was very hot to the touch. Maybe a bit dangerous? Maybe take a look at this for other guests...? Thanks. Other than that, it was all great. |

Staff were very pleasant and friendly, breakfast was also very good and no pressure to vacate table. Annexe style accomodation. This means walking to main hotel to eat etc, not very nice in bad weather. The annexes can suffer from noise by delivery vans and by staff dumping garbage in the bins. |

The staff were very friendly, the bed was very comfortable. Liked the fact we were in the annexe and could park the car outside the room. Had a nice meal but not as good as reviews had led us to believe. The "Days Special" menu thai chicken curry had a lot of potato in it. |

The hotel was comfortable with an old world charm Unfortunately there were about 6 items on the menu which were not available - rather surprising at 8.00 on a Saturday evening. The Red Mullet Nicoise was very disapointing and the whole concept of the ingredients was a disaster. The fish though was lovely. |

The Location of the Restaurant/Pub..(I call it that, as it is a Restaurant/Pub,with accomodation added)a Hotel accomodates guests foremost, is set in a scenic location, ideal, for shopping, touring, countryside, and in my case visiting Family locally. the Accomodation,Basic, a chalet, in the courtyard, adjacent to the Pub, although in reviews, stated was newly re-furbished, (I don't know when)was draughty, dirty, Female hairs, found in bath & toilet basin, on arrival, the outside door to the block was damaged (no lock) open all night, a fascinating array of insects, craneflies, moths, spiders, and on one occasion a frog, sharing our room, an noisy guest in adjacent chalet,No,14 slamming doors at 0630hrs on his way out each time he left,no allocated parking, for your accomodation, although sufficient spaces outside,(first come-first served basis) if no space, having to park the other side of the Pub/Restaurant..a distance to carry cases,as I'm disabled, the pub itself Dark, not worth the money... |

Our second stay here, and again we were very happy with the service we received. The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly. |

Excellent location just outside Newcastle Upon Tyne with rural views. Breakfast service was excellent. Bed very comfortable and staff helpful. Hotel had wonderful ambience..evening meal also great value. Carpets in bedroom had lots of fur balls which stuck to clothing and shower recess leaked causing flooding on the floor...was concerned re staff having to continually clean it up each day. Otherwise would stay again. |

Attended a wedding, went to Durham, Beamish and the Metro Centre Room could have been a bit larger and comfortable for longer staying guests. |

We loved everything about this hotel; the chalet was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, the food was excellent and the view from our window was delightful. I can't praise this hotel highly enough. |
