The Red House is an elegant and distinctive Victorian house overlooking the harbour and the River Fal. It is about 150 metres from the seafront and Gyllyngvase and Castle beaches. A short walk will bring you to the town and harbour. Princess Pavilion is 150 metres away, and has free entertainment on summer evenings. Local transport is widely and easily accessible. Full English breakfast contains organic or local produce where possible, and features homemade jams and marmalade. Special diets can be catered for (with prior notice). At The Red House you can come and go as you please: keys are provided for the guest room and front door. There is a private car park. Hotellrum: 9

Large bed, very friendly and helpful proprietor, home made jams. Not a promising start when we arrived to find the building scaffolded for decoration. Describing this room as a "superior" super-king room is a joke. Shower room very outdated - only heated with a fan heater, no heated towel rail, weak electric shower. Bedroom was too cold to sit and relax in. When I did some exercises on the floor I found the carpet dirty. We checked out after the first night because we were so unhappy. Even though they acknowledged the shortcomings of the bathroom they still made us pay the majority of the full three nights.

Very welcoming and hospitable, great local knowledge and advice. Rooms good size, well appointed and clean. Would recommend staying - we'll be there again soon....Breakfast was excellent Would be good to have WiFi - to be fair we didn't ask whether there was access though............my fault!

Welcome was very friendly and informative. Breakfast was good. The room was clean and well appointed and staff very helpful. When we arrived there was scaffolding outside which did not do the appearance any good. But on booking in first impressions did not follow through.

The breakfast is excellent. The linen and towels in our room were of good quality. The welcome is friendly. We will definitely select this guest house again.

The proprietor was very welcoming and friendly, and gave me good advice on where to eat in town and on local walks. The room was comfortable and the cooked breakfast excellent. The location is good for Falmouth. Just a short (uphill) walk from Falmouth Town Station, and convenient for the clifftop promenade. The main town (pubs & restaurants) is a 10 minute walk away.

First, the warm welcome of the owner Mr Ames who was very helpful and friendly. The rooms was nicely decorated and clean. The breakfast buffet with delicious home made jam and a nice variety of english breakfast.

Very friendly staff.Room was lovely with a few little special touches.Local advice offered on the area which was very helpful.Wide choice of options for breakfast which were very tasty.Fabulous little gem of a place.Would definately stay again and recommend to friends.

The owners are very helpful and polite. The room we stayed in was excellent, very large, comfortable bed, well equipped and clean. The guest house itself is very well located for access to either Falmouth Town centre or its beaches. Would recommend to anyone who wants a few days in Falmouth.

Good-sized room. Comfortable bed. Nice decor. Friendly and very helpful owner. Very nice dining room. Excellent breakfast. En suite shower room has no method of heating. Would be an issue in the winter.

We didn't stay long enough to form a proper opinion but while we were there we could find no faults.. We were treated politely. The breakfast was good. The room comfortable and the staff were pleasant. We came away from the place saying to each other that we would stay there again. Probably next year.
