Excellent location lift to beach nearby quite and beautiful views nice staff and good breakfast
a little dated little parking possibilities
One our our rooms had sea view and was lovely. Staff friendly and welcoming. Clean rooms and laundry.
One room was at rear overlooking bins. An air-conditioning unit or something kept cutting in during night and made it difficult to sleep (could be solver by double / secondary glazing).
Staff were amazing. Evening meal was lovely.
It was very nice and would stay again however I found it quite expensive compared to similar places I have stayed in the past.
We paid for a front room with a sea view. It was uncomfortably small.
Where the hotel was located. Friendly staff.
Squeky floorboards,I suppose unavoidable in an older type hotel.
Bed was quite comfortable free on road parking modern bathroom (although the shower barely trickled out) Friendly staff
Stingy breakfast on the smallest "tea plate" ever.... the one and only cramped and scary lift very old and run down paint work everywhere
Spacious room. comfy bed. Clean and well presented room.
Dodgy shower head.
The staff were friendly and very hospitable. The room was spacious and pleasant. The pool was a welcome extra
We had a room with a sea view and it was very comfortable. The breakfasts were nice but portion size a little small if you had a big appetite. It was fine for us though. All the staff were nice and helpful from reception to dining room. The hotel is at the south end of Scarborough which we prefer,it can be a fair walk from the town centre.
The only problem for us was the shower which was tepid most of the time sometimes cold.We were on the 3rd floor and it could have been due to the water pressure.
Friendly efficient staff.both rooms were clean and breakfast was very good with excellent service.
Difficult to find any fault
Loved the pool, friendly and helpful staff ,comfortable room, great breakfast carn't wait to go back next year.
Nice swimming pool, decent room apart from the location. Breakfast meal fair.
Sleeping right next to an old creaking lift, room way overpriced. Jacuzzi not working. Appeared to be no free wifi, just a computer to use downstairs, very misleading. Breakfast staff not attentive at all!
Our bathroom was lovely.the staff was great. The hotel is in a great place close to the beach
The bedroom was dated, the ceiling was coming in ,the view outside our window was an old building with a collapsed roof where birds were nesting . We couldn't book for dinner as it was full . Breakfast was small ,cold and poor quality. Didn't like having to leave our room key every time you go out
The breakfast was excellent BUT would have been very repetitive if staying more than a few days. The bed was extremely comfortable.
When booking we understood we were allocated a bay windowed bedroom with sea view BUT we had a very odd shaped room with no bay window-very disappointing.
Hotel was ideal for getting down to the Spa and the beach.
The bedroom allocated was very small but clean and comfortable. I would have been happier in a larger room as we felt quite cramped and wardrobe hangers did not allow clothes to be hung in the wardrobe.
the room was big and the bed comfy. food gorgeous! staff helpful. lovely view from the room.
little points like small attention to detail, there were no serving spoons to serve the veg at dinner, had to use my fork and spilled it. had to ask for bread rolls after getting my soup, had to ask for the mint sauce to go with my lamb when the menu said it was part of the dish. the cleanliness of our room wasn't up to our standards, dust in the corners for example, no toilet brush or tissues in the bathroom and the windows, although beautiful and big, need painting, (a bit worn and flaky)
The location was ok thats about all.
The hotel is dated the decor very poor. The room we had was a pokey little room on the 1st floor. given the price we paid we were disgusted. No double glazing which meant the seagulls woke us up at 3am and we couldn't get back to sleep. The view was horrible overlooked a a back entry. I could not reccommend this hotel to anyone.
Had to change rooms breakfast was poor swimming pool had rust around the steps put into a back room for breakfast
Friendly service, Clean and comfortable.
Parking could be a problem at times.
Stayed 2 nights to visit Spa. So convenient as funicular on doorstep kept running til 2am. Breakfast freshly cooked and nice & hot.
Nothing I can think of.
Didn't like room allocated so with no fuss we were given a much better room
Room allocated on arrival was tiny
Good atmosphere, friendly staff, very helpful, great entertainment, lovely food, and emmaculate rooms and bathroom.
The quaintness of the hotel it is like being in the 50s
The Sausage at breakfast tasted off
we had a lovely room overlooking the sea the staff were very friendly and helpful the parking was excellent the breakfast was very good the location was ideal for the venue we were going to on the night
