Great room ( room 2) Well set out, very clean. Good value for money and fantastic pub serving great food.
Atmosphere of pub in general There wasn't any bother for your staff to deal with dietary requirements Accommodation for us was excellent value for money Wouldn't hesitate to book again
Pillows were a little hard for my liking
Arrived on an extremely wet and miserable evening to receive the warmest of welcomes both by the staff and the ambiance of the pub/hotel. Checking-in was hassle-free, shown to room which was warm and immaculately prepared with all the expectations from a higher graded 4* hotel. In the bar there was a choice of 4 really well kept real ales as well as a most impressive food menu. In the morning, the choice of breakfast on offer matched the evening menu for variety and was freshly prepared to order. Would I stay again? No brainer!!
I visited this inn on a business trip I get bored of Chain hotels and this made a refreshing change, obviously as a Marstons Inn it has good beer, I had an evening meal there which was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made my brief stay very welcoming. Rooms had exterior access a bit like a Campanile or similar and there was plenty of parking. I would definitely recommend this to any colleagues heading to that location.
Room was a little colder than ideal, but to be honest I didn't look very hard to see if this could be adjusted.
Everything pretty much ok
Wanted to check out the night before as I had to leave early, was assured someone would be there from 5.45am it didn't happen and I had to leave without paying my account, it's paid now but still waiting for the receipt
Very friendly staff. Food was very good. I made a very positive experience:. I lost money in cash in the room and the hotel informed me about that by Email. They have sent the money by mail to Germany. Many thanks to the staff for the great honesty and their help. I will come back.
Customer Service - staff prepared to engage and ensure guests enjoy their stay Food - excellent varied menu with daily specials Location - beautiful Lancashire countryside Facilities - it's a pub! Enough said Room - Fabulous value for money
3 days after my stay has ended - I'm still struggling to find any faults
Great breakfast and lovelt room
The fact that the extractor wasn't working in the bathroom which gave the bathroom a musty smell

Very friendly manager Warm feeling in pub & excellent food Bedroom great value for money Good breakfast
We had booked this very last minute as somewhere to stay and relax after a busy day in blackpool with our 2 year old son. We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived (the photos dont do it justice). The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, the pub was cosy and charming and the room was spacious, spotless and and comfortable. Great attention to detail with little biscuit treats left on each bed...which our son was made up with. Breakfast was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble, even getting together some crust for us to take to feed to the ducks. We wouldnt hesitate to go back. A really fantastic stay.
Spotless room, friendly, helpful staff. Great food
Creaky floor boards in room above
I liked the atmosphere of the place it was very cosy and welcoming, friendly staff wonderful food, clean and nice location. Also extremely quiet considering we were very near the road. Excellent place.
Not enough tea bags or milk this is very minor but it was the only little niggle we had
The room ... Staff above and beyond helpful and efficient... Lovely accommodation
Rooms are very good - nicely decorated. Breakfast was great and you can order what you like. Staff were friendly. Easy to find and not far from the M6. Was only there for a night and didn't have an evening meal or see anything in the area.
There were two things that meant I had a poor sleep. There was a pipe running along the bottom of one side of the room that looked like it continued through to the other rooms, I guess related to the heating. Although my radiator was turned off the pipe made a noise all night. And the pillows were very, very uncomfortable. I tried all of them during the night but didn't sleep well at all.
Friendliness of staff
The comfort, feeling at home. Friendly staff.
the staff and food were very good the rooms were clean and comfortable
quite near a busy road so didnt sleep great but im a poor sleeper anyway when we first got there we were put in a room with a broken window but when we complained we were moved
Just booked a room to prepare our visit to Edge Hill University. The staff were accomodating even though we were quite late checking in. The meal was good and the entertainment was so much fun (didn't expect this at all).... A Neil Diamond 'sound a like'. We met some lovely people and loved the area.
Nothing negative to say.
staff were very friendly and helpfull. a good selection of meals on the specials board which were good value and very nice.
the all in price for b&b when we did not have breakfast.
Good food and service , and comfortable room.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
