The staff were only too pleased to make our stay very comfortable and memorable. Wide range of menu choices so we 'dined in' every night!

Our particular room only had a bath - no shower.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The food in the restaurant was delicious and well presented. The pub was built in 1753 and has been upkept to an amazing standard. The beer garden was lovely place to sit in the sun and have a cold drink.

Room was a little small, but we only stayed one night. Narrow staircase, but all the good things made up for these minor things. Would stay there again.

I am a shotgun coach and was coaching at the CLA Game Fair at Blenheim Palace for BASC. I needed a close, comfortable, convenient venue for a one night stay, knowing I would be arriving tired and late after a very long day. The staff, the venue and the room were absolutely brilliant. I will definitely be back with Katie for a couple of nights, making the most of the beautiful surroundings and eating in the lovely restaurant. Breakfast was great before I headed off. Highly recommended, warm and welcoming. See you soon. Gavin

All of the staff were fantastic. Really friendly, efficient and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and to help us make the very best of our stay in the Cotswolds. Great central location. Delicious food.

Everything was great. The only slight niggle I had was, that as they were very dog friendly, dogs were allowed in the restaurant.

Wonderful warm welcome, great room and amazing breakfast. The whole place had a warm yet stylish elegance about it.

I wish breakfast had started a little bit earlier.

    Location, food and gardens

The place was closed when we arrived. This is ok for a Pub but not for an hotel.

    Food Excellent Staff very friendly.

Rooms cramped, but should be expected in a small country Hotel. Location too close too a noisy road but understandably that is where it is so you cannot do anything about that We made the choice which was not a good choice, and not the fault of the Hotel

Long Compton is a great base for touring, lovely weather and great places to visit. The Lion is very welcoming. Lovely bathroom, huge breakfasts!

The road is busy and noisy, guest accomodation door was often not locked - guests doing this not management, but it seemed a bit unsafe.
