free parking on forecourt
I liked the hotel, clean, good value. I liked the location. I was pleased that there was some parking on site.
I found it very noisy at night , could hear music until 5 am, but it was a Friday night near Christmas.
Had a great time with friends staff were very welcoming
The staff was helpful and assisted after each call to the reception with the radiator.
The hotel has single glazing, so I could hear all the noise from the street and the loud party at the Clifton on the other side of the street. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillow extremely hard. The radiator went cold 4 times, which woke me up. At 2.40 am the fire alarm went off in the hotel and when I got to the fire exit, it was blocked. It turned out at the reception that it was false alarm.
The only thing I can say is "comfy bed" decent location.
no complimentary water, woken & evacuated 1st night due to a false fire alarm!! shower is a joke, shower curtain rail falling down, staff didn't seem bothered!!
Able to arrive very late .
Lumpy bed , very noisy able to hear conversation in next room . Will not be staying again .
Excellent hotel with friendly staff. Nice place.
There was no shave point in the bathroom
Great Location! Helpful Staff. Near to Tourist attractions and the restaurants and shops of Clifton.
Location was good. The staff were very good.
The room needed a deep clean. The shower head really low - half way down the wall! I really would not rate it as 4* hotel!
Easy walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants
Small double room. Lots of street noise on weekends
The room was quite small, but had a large and comfortable bed, an ensuite bathroom (bath was small but that's fair enough). Everything was clean. Reception were friendly. I felt it was decent value overall and enjoyed our stay, plus Clifton is lovely.
Decor and contemporary style of property
No heating, radiator didn't work, room and shower room was far too small, very disappointing. You couldn't swing a cat in there. Expected more from a traditional hotel in a posh area of bristol
I liked the grandeur, and the fact the bar is named after Inspector Morse. Service was also top notch. It had an air of nostalgia.
My room was noisy, both from outside and below. Main grip though was the wifi. I was there for business and it made my life very difficult. I wouldn't stay there again if on a business trip. Wifi is essential to me, not a nice to have. Pity, as otherwise I liked it.
The staffs are very nice & give many good advices for me to travel safely ! The location of the hotel is very nice with many beautiful buildings surround it ! The environment of the hotel is silent & calm & peaceful !
I lived in room 338 single bedroom with shared bathroom in September 2014. The mattress of the bed is too soft, if I sit on the edge of the bed, ---I'll fall. The cover of the toilet is loose . The hanger of the shower is broken. I prefer the bath gel & shampoo putting in a small plastic bottle rather than in a small plastic bag--it's difficult to open with wet hands. I want to suggest the hotel to put a clock in the room, because we come from different countries in different time zone, if there is a clock we can know the UK local time clearly.
Friendly and helpful reception staff. Clean, smart, well equipped room. A proper bath as well as a shower. Characterful Georgian building. We were able to park right outside. £90 for a double room is good value for Bristol.
The room was for floors up and there is no lift. Only continental breakfast available, and that at a silly price. We ate elsewhere.
Nice B&B, convenient location (Clifton), clean and quiet.
I enjoyed my time in Bristol. My accommodation is a key part of the equation. Excellent (polite, friendly and helpful) staff and super-clean room.
Pro's - clean. Friendly staff. Price Stayed for one night while on a course. In a single with shared bathroom. Bathroom was shared with one other
Shower was at tap level. V incomfortable couldn't wait to get out :(
Location excellent for Clifton shopping and entertainment
No lift Noise from bar in back courtyard 1 Fire door jammed open - other fire door self closing but does not seal against frame -fire rating 15mins at most!
no proper food
I stay in hotels due to business on a weekly basis. And On arrival I enjoyed there welcoming and interest in my house viewing- as I was staying in Bristol searching property. The location to town was perfect, and also the parking.
This ones easy,it seemed as soon as I was in my room and they had my £97 per night all interests in my comfort and queries was completely irrelevant. My night sleep was the worst and my complaint was ignored, I asked them about the policy and there reply was "did you ring reception" I felt belittled and mocked by the staff. I found hair in my bed and also in my bath, this experience at the regency nearly put me off carrying on searching for property in the area. Very disappointed with the results and lack of care- I find it very sad that the hotel manager wasn't living up to her expectaions and failing as a manager.
The staff and welcoming were very good and the hotel was clean. The room was clean and adequate for a single nights stay BUT it was more of a 3* star and not a four star rating.
My room was at basement level and adjacent to the outside drinking area. so noise. My window was a french door so could not leave open for ventilation. simnk waste did not drain and socket outlets loose. All minor things but NOT 4* level. Breakfast was continental only but a poor one at that. Hotel was O.K. but 3* not 4*.
The receptionists were very helpful as was the member of staff in the morning for breakfast, I would definately stay again but not in the room I had
I had a room on the ground floor and the bar was outside my room and was quite noisy and the room was hot as I couldn't open the door and leave it open all night.
It was modern, clean, fresh.
The rooms next didn't have ensuite and so there was lots of room noise, door shutting etc. we didn't sleep well.
