Everything was well thought through. Nothing lacking in room. Really comfortable.
The location is in the beautiful South kensington, minutes away from the tube station. Very classy and modern hotel.
Small room right next to the stairway was very loud. £50 pre-authorised on card still not refunded, didn't expect to pay a deposit on a hotel room in 2015!
Well located for tube station and museums.
The booking offered an option of continental breakfast at an exorbitant £17.50 per person - but the room service menu offered continental brakfast for only £9.00. When we queried the discrepancy we were told the room service price was an error. In fact, we opted for a more satisfying and much cheaper breakfast a cafe nearby.
5 mins walk from all local amenities.
Light by long mirror sencered , so had to keep running back and forth to door
The nice porter who whistled us a taxi to to station!
Bed very hard, breakfast way overpriced, rang room service for teabags and got sugar and milk instead. Bag porter just looked so bored no smiling! Not worth what we paid.
The bathroom had a bathtub. The room had a safe.
The room was small and crammed. The night staff can be more friendly and helpful.
Air conditionning did not work Shower water too weak
We liked the location - that was about all really - for a 4 star rated hotel, I thought it was lacking in basics associated with a 4 star hotel
Unless you are in an executive room, you have to pay for Wi Fi - totally ridiculous in this day and age! No soap or any toiletries in the bathroom except for a bottle of shampoo/body wash stuck to the wall - one staff member that checked us in was unfriendly, no smile and when I questioned why a 4 star hotel did not provide free Wi Fi (when we got this even on the train from Edinburgh to London!), his answer to us, curtly was "This is what all London hotels do" I said we had been to a 3 star hotel that had free Wi Fi, and he just repeated himself. Really disappointing. Their website is misleading as it says "Wi Fi available" It should say "Wi Fi available for a fee if you are not in the executive room"
Been twice before and found it comfy, clean and a good location
This time we were in a smaller room with not such a comfortable bed. Most rooms have foam memory toppers which we like, but this time we had a standard spring mattress which was hard and uncomfortable. Also small window looked out onto side of adjacent building wall.
front desk behaviour
The ambiance and cosiness of the lounge at Xmas and the friendly reception staff.
Nice modern room very clean pretty much all you need
Not keen on memory foam mattress In this day and age not providing inclusive wifi is poor and annoying
Food was awfull breakfast cold and tasted of old fat everything tasted like it was old by far worst breakfast ever in a hotel I've stayed in a lot all over the country
The cream tea was excellent value for money and very good service. All staff at the Regency was wonderful, polite and nothing was to much trouble. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff that dealt with us Will be returning.
Nothing every thing was excellent.
Staff very welcoming and professional ; very good location; room clean and comfortable. All positive.
great service, super clean rooms
only staying for one night
Not a lot. Been in better hotels and cheaper ones . Poor for the money sorry
It was dear for the money
The location of the hotel was excellent for our needs.
The hotel appeared not to know that we had requested an upgraded room through booking.com. Consequently the staff were unaware of the breakfast agreement. We had to remind them each week. The hotel did upgrade us when requested however, we felt that this was an imposition, as the staff were never really that friendly. Overall, the hotel was nice but let down by the coolness of the staff. Some training in customer service would go a long way.
Location Price Comfort Ease of check in Friendliness of staff
There was nothing I didn't like.
Location Comfortable bed Good shower Quiet despite being at the front of the hotel
The room was hot and we couldn't get the thermostat to work
location , cheap
First room stank of stale sweat+had flickering recessed light. -they moved me -all ok. Had to borrow cord to connect to wi fi .Breakfast coffee disgusting - they reduced price
Location was fantastic. Just a lovely place to stay we were upgraded to better room with no extra cost. The staff were great nothing to much trouble would gladly stay again.
I didn't like the fact that you had to pay extra for wi-fi I would normally expect this to come as free.
How close it was to some nice restaurants and also about a 10 min walk to Harrods and other shops.
We realised when we were checking out that they had charged us on arrival. However they still charged us on departure. When we bought this to their attention and showed them on the bank statement l, they did not care and told us we had to contact our bank because it wasn't their fault. They couldn't have cared less....and no apology at all. Once we got back to Austalia the next day we contacted our bank and they had in fact charged us twice and now we have to go through the hassle of trying to get our $700+ back!!! A great ending to a fantastic holiday.....won't be staying there when we go back later this year!!!!
No mini fridge.
