Great staff - extremely friendly Great location Good facilities Excellent value for money
Bar area Very comfy bed Good breakfast
Toilet made a bit of a funny noise!
Good value for money, everything within walking distance. Nice informative owner and breakfast nice.
Needs more car parking space. Bathroom needs updating and redone. Young girl that worked there needed better customer service skills(smile also wouldn't go a miss) other than that everything else was fine.

Warm welcome, Bed was comfortable and bedding was clean.
Room was tiny, not very clean, walls cracked and crumbling, shower and shower curtain very dirty, poor decor. As a result we spent very little time in the hotel.
dirty smelly place
Parking not guaranteed. Had to park in the main city carpark which costed extra money.
Very friendly with bar suitable for families nothing was too much trouble breakfast was lovely
Bedrooms really need a good makeover still set in the eighties wallpaper peeling off the walls window was very drafts but bedding clean
It was very dirty. smelt of smoke.
Breakfast was ok
The bed was comfy and clean. My partner enjoyed the breakfast, it was tasty and cooked to a good standard. The owner was helpful and chatty.
There is a pervading smell of wet dog throughout the hotel, which made us gag. The hotel is dated and in need of repair and modernisation. Our room was small and basic, but the beds and bathroom were clean. The window was hanging on by one rusty hinge and the nets fell off several times throughout the night. The carpet was smelly and to be honest I felt that our belongings and ourselves were smelly when we left. Our friends, bed bases were all ripped and they had no facilities to hang or put their belongings and their room smelled worse than ours.
The staff were lovely people
Jus the fact the hotel was filthy & needed a real good clean! The toilets wasn't cleaned once in 4 days we was there. Windows, floor, walls everything was dirty & smelt, I wouldn't stay ther again & if I hadn't been travelling with young children & arrived late id hav never stayed there. But on the plus side owners were lovely people & couldn't do enough 2 help! I'd say hotel jus needs a decent cleaner daily
The gentleman that owned it was lovely
Everything. I was totally shocked when I got there. I didn't expect it to be the Ritz but it was bad. Our room was tiny but we managed . The bathroom was dirty I wouldn't get in the shower and I had to ask for the toilet to be cleaned because there was poo marks all over. Did not stay for breakfast. Went somewhere else
Not very clean at all, potent smell on entering and throughout the room. Very small breakfast
the bar was reasonable priced
the room was very poor shower/toilet area were very un clean the car parking is so silly i didnt even park there the hotel is run down needs renovating and cleaning wouldn't return
Staff very friendly and breakfast was lovely.
Room was not clean, half eaten apple on the floor, dirt on the carpet and shower was very dirty
Manager was very accommodating, tried to find and reccomend nearby parking when he had non (it's clearly stated parking is first come basis!) stay was comfortable and had everything we needed, towels and linen were clean. And the complimentary breakfast was enjoyed by all (9 of us) and they even provided a vegetarian option without me having to ask, when I asked for no meat as I was vegetarian.
Nothing, we got what we paid for and were more than happy with it!
After reading the reviews, me and my partner were absolutely dreading this stay and were preparing ourselves for utter horror! HOWEVER, it was not at all a bad as expected. The outside has a new sign and coulour which is modern and appealing. Which was good, There are some slight issues that have been previously reviewed though, cleanliness is a small issue, the walls could do with a lick of paint and re-wallpapering, (as this was the smoking floor though, the yellowing walls is to be expected i suppose, although we are not smokers) and there was also a distinct scent as you enter, getting past that however, the room was snug but comfy, the bed was beautiful to sleep in and the breakfast was small, but delightful. A few minor ajustments and this could be a gem!
