Stylish design, friendly staff.
Paper thin walls meant next dot neighbours conversations and nocturnal activities sounded like they were in your room therefore not much sleep was had, which when a hotel is in the business of selling sleep is not very good.
Nice family room, great pub, excellent breakfast.
Location , excellent & a comfortable bed . Breakfast was included & good value .The roomwe had was number 6 which was a little on the small size but well equiped.
The heating was far too hot all over the hotel . However you could turn it off in the room & open the window. Some building work going on , with some noise.
Good location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food served all day with breakfast until 11am. Comfy bed. Nice shower. Good car parking behind the hotel.
Room could have done with a bit more cleaning (cobwebs on the ceiling and walls !). Food service slow on the first day we were there (evening meal and breakfast the following morning) but much quicker at breakfast on our second day.
Condition of old window behind net curtains in room in main building competely ignored by cleaners. Bad housekeeping! Pity as the decor was basically ok.
Not muchReasonable renovated pub, but to get into the bedroom had to bend double through a low door (7 wors
The rooms nnnnn
Location is very well
When I check out, staff almost mistake the bill
No fruit option at breakfast
Very nice room -excellent décor, large v comfortable bed, clean fresh
Would have chosen full English breakfast if I had seen it on the menu - that's a shame
Perfect stop over.... Probably one of the comfiest beds I have slept in, and pillows just right. The food was 5* and the staff were helpful and polite at all times, and not one that wasn't smiling, which was a pleasure to see, as so often you can come across miserable staff. I ended up staying again a few nights later as I was that impressed and was a great location for Dunsfold Aerodrome.
We booked a superior room 5 months in advance. When we got to the hotel we were given the ground floor disabled room which wouldn't normally bother us but it didn't have the right facilities for someone who is not disabled. And to add to this the fuse blew whilst we were getting ready to go out, it happened at least 5 times so we were in total darkness for almost an hour. We were not impressed!
clean, good facilities, great pub/restaurant - sunday lunch...Great bathroom, shower facilities. central Cranleigh so easy access to pubs/restaurants and to bonfire night, opposite sainsburys....friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere,.....
the emergency light in the middle of the bedroom - tiny green light that just shone enough to not allow that nice deep sleep as some light in the room!
This was a super location for my wife and I to meet up with our grown up children for a week end. Our two small terriers were made welcome and the staff worked hard to look after us when we arrived on what was a very hectic evening for them. The food was excellent and the surroundings atmospheric. It was a great location to enjoy the village of Cranleigh.
Minor cleanliness issues and heating problems did little to spoil our stay.
Family rooms are a good size, decor throughout is excellent and the breakfast was delicious. I treated my parents and they loved it - I would definitely return.
Food was very good. Staff helpful.
Room rather small, no headboard on bed, not comfy for watching the TV. Main problem was the smell of damp which pervaded the room. Think you should be told if room is for disabled as bathroom bare and basic, no bath.
Free Parking and WiFi. Great breakfast
Radiator didn't work in my room neither did the majority of the lights!
Friendly staff Excellent food Parking available (designated spaces)
Sofa bed not very comfortable
Super room couldn't fault anything about the stay
The food, esp meat was incredibly good. Beer also excellent. Room was lovely & much effort had been made with the contents & decor.
Draughty sash windows made room v cold in the early hours to morning. Could not be closed properly. Woke with exposed skin like ice. Didn't have long sleeved Pajamas unfortunately. Same windows let in a lot of noise from the street to early hours both people & traffic, luckily I'd packed ear plugs! Check-in needs to be clearer, a slightly written sign above head height at the bar, it's at the end of a noisy bar which you'd think was reserved for glass collections, unless you looked up at high sign.
Nice pub, lovely room, friendly staff, nice breakfast, free wifi, good shower, all very clean
Being woken up at 6am by hovering in the pub under our room, furniture being moved around and the cleaners speaking loudly outside the door before 7am
The restaurant staff in the evening were excellent. Food was good and a cold dish was soon rectified with no problem. Wines good and prices fair.
Breakfast was slightly disappointing as the cooked food was served on the toast and this soon went soggy. Advice to ask before you receive breakfast if you prefer toast served separately. Room was clean but windows cracked and paintwork dirty. Restaurant ones were sparkling however.
Very nice comfortable family room, very clean. Had everything we needed and a great breakfast. Would stay here again.
Lovely room, very clean, beautifully decorated and furnished. Loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom....and that shower......!! Forgot my shampoo so used theirs - made my hair all silky-soft! Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Bed sooo comfy - just climbed in and dropped right off. Would be very happy to stay there again (would LOVE to sample the evening menu next time!) Many thanks to all the staff - you work extremely hard, and it shows!
Couldn't find the car park! The instructions were a bit vague, so we parked out on the street - plenty of spaces. We only stayed one night so no probs with storage but if we were there for longer, that might have been an issue - not much in the way of drawer space etc. Hubby didn't like the bathroom shelf - perfect position for hitting with forehead!! Apart from those little niggles, it was smashing!
Food really good, Blue moon beer excellent! pleasant staff. lovely shower gel and bodywash supplied!
A bit noisy especially at 05.30 am when they start cleaning the bedrooms.
The food was very good ..The rooms also a good size ..service also good ...
We didn't like the fact we were kept up late and woken very early with TV from next room..plus my parents room was very noisy so had to be moved..plus many Noise from traffic with windows open..
