Helpful and friendly staff. Welcoming to two small dogs.
We booked again having stayed in February 14. We had quite a long journey to Cranleigh and wanted to arrange a meal for our arrival. Ben was outstanding, calling us to check our expected eta, and ensuring that we would have a meal on our arrival, and ensuring we were looked after throughout our stay. Thank you Ben. We asked for room 9, which is a Mews House we had had previously, and were not disappointed. The room is well equipped, comfortable and clean. The en-suite shower room is spacious and the toilettries are very good. We stayed 2 nights, and ate at the pub on both nights. The quality of the food served is exceptional, if a little pricy, but highly recommended. There is an extensive wine list and cocktails. We would definitely book again if work takes us back to the area.
The staff were really friendly and welcoming , the room we had was spotless clean and really tastefully decorated , the breakfast choice is amazing and was fabulous
Food, ambiance, facilities.
My cousin and husband had specifically booked a twin bedded room which the hotel had overlooked (but the bed in their room was one that could convert quite easily into two beds). We were told twice that it would be re made up as two beds, but this didn't happen which was a bit disappointing.
Relaxing setting . Ideal for couples .
Loved the size and design of the room just a shame we only stayed the one night :)
Manager took responsibility for the filthy room which was impossible for anyone in wheelchair to use, assured by him that all things brought to his attention would be dealt with. Hope hes a man of his word
Filthy room, cobwebs and dust everywhere, tea cups and tray dirty.Way room laid out if you were not able to walk wouldn't be able to get around beds/furniture.Parking for room despite it being a disabled room was used by staff, who didn't give a damn if you would be able to get to the door.Since carpet outside the door leading to dining room was covered in snail trails, doesnt make you want to eat in there, only sorry we noticed it after having meal.
Staff friendly. Good food. Lovely courtyard at rear of pub to sit in for drinks. Great location on high street.
Bedroom on front noisy as windows needed to be open due to hot weather. Food quite pricey. Sofa bed mattress not very thick, could feel springs.
Lovely room, even when the electric blew! Staff fixed it immediately and with a smile. Nice shower, good facilities
The break fast was very good. .
The check out lady shouting at me. ..telling me to get out of the hotel. ..
The people were friendly, kind and helpful. We has a problem in the Restaurant which they kindly sorted out.
Access to the North-East quadrant, is restricted to sub- B class roads. It would be nice if the meal-sizes could be augmented routinely towards Northern norms ; the increased artistry in food presentation hardly compensates, in my humble opinion.
Friendly staff. Comfortable bed.
Needs a blind in bathroom in Room 6!
Hospitaliteit of the staff. Excellent quality of dinner and full English breakfast.
Great Pub and lovely food.
Room was noisy till bar closed.
Very friendly and helpfully staff, breakfast and dinner were excellent.
Lovely breakfast, helpful & friendly staff, comfy bed in a spotlessly clean room. Pub recently refurbished to a high standard.
Our room was at the front over the pub so some noise (though not unreasonable level, and none after 11.30pm). Next time I'd ask for a room at the back if I need an early night!
We were on our way to goodwood festival of speed and chose this location via internet... A great pub hotel ideal for our needs set in a great village location
Although the rooms were modern and fresh our room had a small staircase within down into the actual room . We thought this was kind of quaint and reflected the age of the building but could cause issues for less mobile people
The best little hotel/pub i have stayed in this year 2014!
Wonderful soft sheets - sheer luxury. Cosy bar and good restaurant and a very good selection in the room for tea/coffee, etc. I didn't have time for breakfast and so the lovely biscuits were a real bonus! Also, handy to have a hairdryer. Very friendly staff.
There's nothing to dislike (apart from an engineer testing the alarm system in the rooms at 7.30am onwards when we didn't have to get up until 8.30!), but that was clearly a one off situation!
A fan was available in lieu of air conditioning. Everything was excellent, I felt most comfortable in private and in the public areas.
I was only able to stay one night, but I was unable to stay longer
no ironing board but the manager did look all around for it
Friendly staff, Ben was a lovely guy! Slightly less pricey than the hotels and Bed and breakfasts in Guildford. Cranleigh is a beautiful place with friendly people.
We had a large ,quiet room behind the hotel. Breakfast included and very good.
Very helpful staff... Nice spacious and clean rooms
We liked the location
We got locked in our room. We had to call reception to let us out. They opened the door and told us they would fix the door while we were out for the day. When we returned our door was unlocked, it had not been fix and it had been open all day. We were not impressed. When we told the staff they were very apologetic and moved us to another room.
