The warning sign in the bathroom says very hot water. While this is a warning I have seen in many places in the UK, this one should really be taken seriously. The hot water is scalding and it should be adjusted before getting into the tub.
Our room was next to the reception and there was relatively loud music around 10PM, but it stopped within half an hour.
The room was far better than we expected by reading the reviews. It was a clean, big, tastefully decorated room , with a bathroom with a tub, a little corner table, 3 beds (one a double), a big plasma TV and even a fireplace (non-functional though). The staff were very friendly. We were able to check in a little after noon, when our train arrived, before going out to explore the city. The food at breakfast was good - choices: a variety of cereals with milk, orange juice, tea, waffles and jams. I did not try the cheese. As other people mentioned, there is a Thai place right at the property. We actually took advantage of this in the evening and the food was very good. A very kind gesture on the part of the staff was that they even brought us our food to our room at no extra charge (I was very tired that evening and had wanted to opt for take-out). Overall, the stay was a very nice surprise and the conditions were very good for the price. Also I think they are still working on renovating the hotel, so I expect it will become even better in the future.
