No staff on premises for breakfast
Location (5 min walk from Princes Street) Decoration Style Good for the money and location.
Had to ask to turn on the heater and in the morning was already turned off although during the night the temperature was ok. But meet a couple that was there for 3 days without the heater working on their room. The breakfast was quite poor on quality, pack juice, croissants weren't fresh. Could have more variety, only had white bread and croissants, orange juice, coffee or tea, one kind of cheese (quite bad) and butter and jam. Some cereals (choc and normal). Also you have to ask at the reception for the hair dryer.
ease of access to city centre, great location for theatre, Staff very friendly
could do with firmer matresses,
location and price
decor was a bit shabby

Good location Clean Welcoming staff Basic but good breakfast
Room was very spacious and the bathroom was clean. Lots of towels and toiletries were provided which was good and there was also a good amount of refreshments provided in the room. Access to the room was good and even though we were on a main road the traffic noise wasn't too bad. The manager was friendly when we arrived but admitted he was short staffed and was a bit flustered.
Four beds in the room which was fortunate as one of the mattresses was broken. Also dirty sheets on two of the beds and the room still wasn't ready at 4pm even though we had arrived early to leave our bags and were told the room would be ready for us by 3pm. Breakfast was also a basic continental which was a surprise as there were kitchen facilities as there is a Thai restaurant in the hotel basement so a cooked breakfast could have been offered. Also a surprise to see a member of staff fast asleep at the check-in desk first thing in the morning! There was also old food left in the fridge in our room. Hope they check it and clean it before it goes mouldy!!!!!
Everyone was pleasant, room was fab shower was huge( easily fit 2).. close to all pubs, great nights sleep, breakfast was basic, but for us that was fine as we had already planned to coffee and cake it on princess street.
We loved how close it was to the city ( 10 minute walk ) our room had a garden view. Parking on the weekend is free. Claudia did a great job with reception, cleaning and breakfast.
The aroma from the Thai resteraunt downstairs was a bit overwhelming at night. Breakfast could be improved with a bit of ice under the yoghurt ( to keep it cool ) and perhaps a quality bread for toast.
Excellent location and great value for money quad room with 4 decent beds and plenty of room for 4 adults would definitely recommend it to my friends2
2 of the beds need new mattresses
Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and nice for the size. It's a budget hotel so you can't grumble. Breakfast was good (we prefer continental style over full English). All in all a pleasant stay.
The Thai restaurant downstairs was a massive let down. Takeaway menu we got off the reception was totally different to the sit down menu. We asked for items off the takeaway menu but got told they would cost double almost. Decided to take it away and eat in our room. Items we ordered were missing and not to taste even though we did mention when ordering. This was rectified in the end. It made me and my girlfriend sick the next day. Give it a miss, it's really not worth it.
Location was good
Parking on street Overwhelming smell of air freshener Reception downstairs Room opposite reception not private Room dark and dismal Shower area drab and small Pillows flat Breakfast a bun fight toaster not working not enough plates
Room was larger than expected. Location - excellent - theatre & Omni & St James Centre only 2mins away. Staff were also excellent and attentive.
Rooms a bit dated but had been freshened up with red/black theme giving a 'boudoir' feel. Bedding clean but hand towel had black mascara marks. The thick dust around doorframe made it feel bit dingy. Bed was 'lumpy' / no mattress protector; en-suite fan noisy; shower didn't drain well. We paid £80 for one night & felt disappointed - don't think would have stayed a 2nd night. Travelodge is more comfortable & would be better value.
I liked Claudia who was in charge. She seemed to be doing everything. All in my group thought she was most helpful!
A few in my group thought the rooms were a little small.
Excellent location for the theatre and somewhere to have lunch or dinner.
For basic it was clean and comfortable
Breakfast they need to rethink Just managed coffee and toast after they changed the bread The rest was not that great to look at so I took a miss
during our 2nd stay we were allocated to a bigger room on 2nd floor. Quiet room with good shower facility.
at our 1st stay we were allocted to a small room facing the main road on the ground floor . no sleep at all on that nite. Poor / no connection to wifi inside room.
For a double we were given a big 4 room with a good size bathroom. John Paul was very accomodating. He gave us a packed breakfast for our early departure.
The rooms at the front are on a busy road (but you want to be near the centre right!?) The breakfast is basic but you can have as much as you like - not complaints, it's a budget hotel after all.
Very uncomfortable beds, very narrow, un-inviting room, bathroom needs complete refurb -very unhygienic. Smells from Thai restaurant downstairs was over-powering and prevented sleep as smell of hot cooking oil pervaded the room. Because of this needed to sleep with window open which meant the traffic/street noise was worse. Did not get a sleep at all. Would not return. Breakfast consisted of stale croissants/bread and limp artificial- looking cheese. What a nightmare and usually we have always booked B.com with great confidence.
loved the staff
our room was above the restaurant and next to the foyer hence very noisy
Nice clean room with comfortable bed. Decent location, not immediately central but close enough and very convenient for catching buses. Friendly helpful staff but respectful of your space as well. Free computer internet access for those of who don't carry devices everywhere. Very reasonable price for the quality of the room.
A bit of a lack of choice on the breakfast menu, where some cooked goods would have been nice as an alternative to cereal. My neighbours were rather noisy towards the end of my stay although that's really not the hotel's fault.
The room was not at all like the ones on the website. It was dark, dilapidated and the floor actually sloped so you head was lower than your feet!!! Breakfast was appalling. Some of the light didn't work and also powerpoints which meant appliances didn't charge over night.
