The Ritz Restaurant
The service was exceptional and attention to detail lovely. The little touches of roses/rose petals, chocolates and a card made the stay feel very special. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you.
The double bed was 2 single mattresses put together and this meant slipping into the middle. Also, tea and coffee making facilities would have been lovely. (minor points).
It was our ruby wedding and they really helped make it memorable top class hotel in every way

An absolutely amazing hotel with so much attention to detail. We went for our first wedding anniversary and the staff were ever so accommodating and very polite. We were upgraded to an executive room on arrival because of our special occasion - how lovely! At dinner, we received a very special surprise - a delicious anniversary cake with two cute candles. Our whole stay was perfect and something we will always look back fondly on.
Really nothing at all. But tea/coffee facilities in the room was literally the only thing I missed.

The price of drinks at the room mini bar was astronomical... It's ok to charge for the facility but when a tot costs the same as a the whole bottle, well let's just say it's extortionate! Everything. The staff were excellent, and the whole experience was superb. Food was fabulous. The room was beautiful and the comfort was second to none.
With no coffee / tea making facilities in the room, it was a disappointment to have to pay £15 for our early morning tea. Although the Wi-Fi was free it almost never worked. Slightly disappointed also that there was no sauna / steam room / pool facilities.
Excellent service, generally a great experience and we would certainly visit again.
staff were brilliant and they provided us both with some lovely birthday cakes in our room which was a great surprise
that there was no complimentary water in our room, had to pay 7.00 for one bottle of water and later 14.00 each for more water

Staff overwhelmed at breakfast resulting in poor service. Change the menu for repeat visitors eg we had same choice of food as in our last visit. Made to wait for table even though we had reservation in advance !!

Room service charges are ridiculous (and the room service staff aren't so hot, one guy managed to dump the contents of a service table on the floor and left parts of it behind even afyer he had "cleaned up".) "Dress" rules are stupid in this day and age.
Location, heritage, building, atmosphere, staff, location, afternoon tea.
Rooms are too small ; at least the ones on offer by booking.com "executive rooms", are the very basic ones which means small, cramped and with view of the building opposite. So go for deluxe and up (on offer by the hotel website), which are the only ones worthy but overpriced. In fact, everything is overpriced at the Ritz.

Our stay was to celebrate our Silver Anniversary and we were made to feel special. Lovely fresh flowers in our beautiful room. Turn down service a extra special touch of bed decorated with fresh rose petals, lovely! Very friendly staff.
As perfect as you can get. We got of the tube at Green park and my partner asked where we were staying. I pointed and said the Ritz, she burst out crying and could not believe it. From that moment the Hotel was perfect in every way, Staff, room etc. loved it. Thank you to the Ritz
The staff and the hotel was faultless already booked to go back in November
Where shall are start? On arrival had to wait 40mins to get into room. Asked for ice 45 mins before we went down for our dinner reservation it did not come. Dinner was fair but asked for a Merlo Wine to be told only had blended, on reviewing the Wine list found one ourselves. On going back to room 10.30pm ice in room. Went down to breakfast only to be told not included, twice the waiter checked only to be told the same. At which stage we had to return to room for paperwork, which quite clearly stated breakfast included .The waiter took paperwork to reception, came back apologised most profusely, reception had not relayed correct information to dinning room. This is the ritz ? How awfully embarrassing for us I mean, never never have we had this and we have been to many different Hotels, we will not recommend, and we will be writing in due course to the Managing Director, Mr Stephen Boxall.
