Great position great staff and great antique shopping across the river
The room and rest of the hotel very clean and comfortable , staff were friendly and helpful, breakfasts were very nice and if visiting Rye and surrounding areas it is an ideal location to stay and good value , I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
There was nothing to dislike.
Very quick to book in .
breakfast, cheery staff, nice clean room and bathroom.
late time for check-in (3pm)
Short walk into Rye. Staff friendly and professional. Went into Rye for evening meals, so can't comment on Restaurant.
Good central location; staff friendly and approachable. Receptionist had a good local knowledge of the area and was able to recommend pubs and restaurants for us to try. Room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Bottled water provided each day which was a welcome touch. Buffet style breakfast tasty and staff very friendly and accommodating.
Very thin walls and floor meant that we had a sleepless first night as the television in the room downstairs from us was on constantly all night.
The reception staff did not ask if we had a pleasant stay when we were checking out, did not seem interested at all in communicating with us. Didn't even thank us when we paid the £115 for the one night stay.
location to Rye is great, and you couldn't fault the cleaniness.
The shower worked in reverse and was quite weak, and the bathroom looked a bit tired.
A comfortable room Friendly, helpful and efficient staff Very good restaurant
Good size family room with proper beds. Good breakfast in nice garden room. Helpful staff. Quiet bedroom with tea, coffee etc. free parking. Central location.
Room was quite hot and no air con.
Little garden looking over the river.
Location was good, v short walk to town centre. room was nice, kettle, drinks and teabags were a welcome addition
the hotel backs on to what can only be described a seagull city. they were crowing extremely loudly from 3.30am right outside the window. Barely got a wink of sleep. Breakfast wasn't great and they ran out of items. front of house staff was v unwelcoming
Comfortable large room.
The breakfast had been prepared a long time before I arrived for breakfast and was past its best.
Location with in walking distance of town. Room clean and all the stuff you would expect.
Superior room but could hear people in next room turn on and off lights and sockets when they came back late at night. Superior room but not really sure why, had all things you would expect in the room and for the price they charged I would of expected something a little more special had stayed at five other B&Bs around uk all charging less and some of the room were better.
Could seriously do with bringing into the 21st century decor wise.
nice room, with good sanitary, good breakfast
Restaurant's very limited menu Small tv
The location. Room was nice, clean and tidy.
Food quality not up to standard. We ate out every evening after the first dinner. Bath towels rather small
Loved the location and the staff were wonderful at letting us know what to see around Rye. Just wonderful all round
The staff were very pleasant, the food was good and overall a lovely couple of days, Would recommend.
Noise late one night from children running around above us.
It's easy to find and had plenty of parking
Nice quiet location, loved the Aylesbury duck that was always opposite my room, made my stay watching his antics every day on the low tide river bank. Good breakfast and dinner in the restaurant was very good too.
the staff on reception were really helpful, they booked us a taxi, fixed our TV and generally made us feel welcome and went that extra mile. Its nice to see 'real' people, as opposed to the corporate 'how can I help you?' types. they obviously had a good local knowledge too. Also, I sent an email through booking.com at the time of booking, and they got back to us right away.good breakfast selection, and tea facilities in room.
it felt a bit dated and in need of modernising, but everything as comfortable, and we had everything we needed. wifi was not great quality, but ok, and it was free after all! I felt the hotel was a little expensive, if the room had been £10 cheaper per night, it would have been more realistic. over all, a nice place to stay.
Opening window on a hot night. Early checkin available at an additional cost. Easy foot access to rye. All night porter.
