Food was exceptionally excellent, very friendly staff, very quiet and beautiful location. Good value for money.

The small rooms are small and the shower was only adequate. No bath. However, the room was beautifully decorated.

Lovely secluded location, good size rooms, tastefully decorated. The food in the restaurant was good quality and very enjoyable as was breakfast. Proprietors were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definitely reccomend a visit.

    1. Access to very scenic, beautiful and stunning walks. 2. The pub has the view of the rover which can be heard through the peacefulness. 3. Choice of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner is spectacular. 4. An attractive log fireplace to warm you during the winter months as you eat and drink is idyllic.

    The room could be cleaner.

Everything. Staff very friendly- made you feel at home. Nothing too much trouble. Food brilliant. A very good position for accessing many different towns, villages, amenities. From porlock and Minehead and Woody Hey Station and Selwothy to the north and Combe Martin, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe to the south. excellent walks all around. Will definitely be back.

Nothing to dislike. Roads a little precarious in places but all part of the experience. Not a lot can be done about them. It's what makes the landscape so fascinating.

Lovely old Inn in ideal surroundings beside the Lyn River, ideally placed for walking in this beautiful area. The room was very clean, great selection of beers, breakfast and evening meals were excellent and all at very reasonable prices.

Friendly staff, especially Caroline. Excellent food. Towels and bed linen very clean and decor clean and bright. No phone signal! Wonderful location, very rural but beautiful river walk, close to Lynmouth, Minehead and steam train.

Only one real ale available on mon, tues and wed, the other was a honey mead. Complained mon, tues, wed then 3 ales on sale on thurs - misleading. Shower very poor pressure after two days. Location Brendon - problems finding.

Food and ale with good, friendly service. Intense bird-watching experience.

Bedrooms at the back are hemmed in by a vegetated cliff - great if you are a bird-watcher.

Quiet location next to river and walks excellent.

Nothing we didn't like but a fresh fruit and yoghurt option on the breakfast menu would have been more to our liking as we don't particularly require a cooked breakfast.

Excellent welcome, very nice room. Elliot very helpful. Fantastic location for a real get a way from it holiday. 3 vehicles passed on the road in front of the Inn in the hour we sat there.

Maybe just luck of the menu but our main courses were not fantastic. Others that came out at the time looked ok and other customers appeared happy. One meal taken off our bill so thank you, however this was our one night away for a very long time so a bit of a shame.

In no particular order, we liked the location, the food, the staff, the beer, the pub, the atmosphere, the walks from the door etc etc.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, except leaving!
