This friendly bed and breakfast-hotel is just minutes from Hyde Park and near to Oxford Street for shopping. Paddington Station is just a 2-minute walk and has train links to Heathrow Airport.
Score from 1230 reviews Good
Small room, tastefully decorated, great bed, feather pillows. Very quiet room with a spotless en suite. Lovely restaurant. Only wish I could have stayed longer.
The hotel is only 5 mins walking distance from the Earl's Court tube station, which is useful. Room was slightly small, but very clean. No issues with service. Good value for money
Location: 5 mins walk from Earls Court Tube Station, well situated for west end and central London. Decoration: Modern, well finished and comfortable. Staff: friendly, welcoming and efficient. Room: well furnished. Facilities: WiFi, TV, Alarm clock radio, Safe, Towels, Toiletries & Gowns. 24 hour room service at reasonable rates. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again.
Not much really. Being picky, there's no kettle and tea/coffee facilities (staff answer "we provide room service") No trouser press or gym if that's important to you.
Very clean, modern room. Ideally located to access: - The Royal Albert Hall - The Science Museum - Natural History Museum - Hyde Park - The V&A Museum - Earl's Court Surprisingly quiet even though it's on a busy road. Tube (Earl's Court) is only a 5-10 minute walk away. There are a number of restraunts and even a Sainsbury's within a few minutes.
Wifi was poor - I could see (intermittently) about 6 of the hotel's networks but often could not connect. When I finally got a connection, it was slow.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a good night's sleep both evenings. Breakfast was good with a variety of options. We enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful, quiet room with a lovely bathroom and our own patio. The staff were friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is only a five minute walk away from Earl's Court tube station and there are lots of good eating places within easy walking distance. The Continental Breakfast at the Rockwell was excellent.
No tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Great room size and location. We were given a ground floor room at the front of the hotel and it was so handy! Staff helpful booking a bus tour. Good breakfast. Very professional and courteous staff.
No kettle in the room! The bus company they advertise in the hotel was not professional at all. Would recommend changing alliances and advertise/promote another company.
Comfortable room and good location
Lack of wardrobe space and no tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Also the drinks in the hotel bar were very expensive
Food staff and rooms all very good.
A lovely intimate hotel in excellent location. Attentive, but not obtrusive staff.
One very minor issue: a soap dish in the shower would be helpful.
Everything - fantastic location, great staff, good food and great room. Best hotel I've stayed in, in London and I travel down every week for work so have stayed in a few
Clean, a big range of soaps, shampoo etc.
The bed was very, very soft. I'm not used to that. Also, it was only 1.80m long, quite a problem when you are tall. The shower could not be turned on without you being underneath it. A bit of a design flaw.
Great location within easy walking distance from two tube stations (Earls Court & Gloucester Rd), clean, comfy with friendly staff.
This is a gem of a hotel and it is located in a neighborhood where there are lots of local pubs and great restaurants. It is also about two blocks from the Earls Court tube stop. The hotel restaurent is fabulous and very cozy and intimate with a nice patio. They have lots of closets space, shelves and storage in the room and bathroom. The bathroom is very nice and modern. We would stay here again!!
They do not know how to make a martini. But that is hardly a deal breaker.
Loved the location, the friendly and helpful staff, the room was clean, comfy and just lovely! Great size and great value for money!
I made a last minute booking during Wimbledon week so the room was expensive compared to normal weeks, but it was still good value compared to 2 or 3* hotels which weren't that much cheaper and not in central London. The staff were very nice and helpful.
The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Our garden room was an oasis of calm.
Over cooked scrambled eggs, but that is a minor gripe.
...that's all I ask but I'm often disappointed. Not this time. The room was comically small so if you're planning on hosting dinner for eight look elsewhere. If you want a clean place conveniently located (halfway between Earls Court and Gloucester Road stations) and staffed by helpful people I can recommend the Rockwell without hesitation.
The mattress on my bed had apparently seen better days as it tilted to one side -- not bad enough to keep me from sleeping, though I think they might want to check as others might be fussier.
Nice staff always happy to help. Quiet place for walks. Brand new and big room
The Rockwell is a lovely hotel in a safe area. There are shops within a few minutes walk and Earl's Court Tube Station is 5 minutes. This hotel is a great place to stay whether you will be lounging in or just resting your head here.
Beautifully decorated room. Lovely bathroom, great toiletries. Lots of plug sockets which is handy when you have a phone, plus a tablet, laptop, hair dryer and electric toothbrush that all need power! The wireless router was in the room which meant the wifi signal was better than the one I get at home! The bed was exceptionally comfortable. They have obviously given a lot of thought to what guests need during a stay, which seems obvious but is sadly a rare thing for many hotels! Short walk to Earl's Court tube station and plenty of restaurants. Would definitely consider using this hotel again.
Room was very small, but just about adequate for single occupancy. I assume this room is only ever used for single occupancy (or I would hope so) as the double bed was pushed right up into the corner of the room, making one side completely inaccessible. It would have made a lot more sense and created a lot more space if they put a single bed in there instead. Just struck me as a bit odd to have a double bed in such a small room.
The staff were extremely friendly and were very helpful. Amazing room!
No tea and coffee in room
Decor was smart and classy, breakfast consisted of both buffet and hot meal- relatively reasonable. Lovely outdoor seating area... Weather permitting!
Small bed (double as opposed to queen or king) but then rooms were small. Room furnishings partially starting to get tired.
Friendly staff, rooms were excellent! Definitely would be more than happy to stay here again!
