Only 5 minutes’ walk from beautiful Hyde Park, this peaceful town house is situated in the leafy Sussex Gardens area. It offers stylish rooms just a 2-minute walk from Paddington Station.
Score from 1056 reviews Good
The staff were very attentive and welcoming. The room was a fantastic size for London, with complimentary water, turndown service and The White Company Toiletries. I arrived early for check in and was shown thorugh to the reception when I did eventually check in my bags were already in my room and a porter accompanied me to the room to show me the facilities and workings of the A/C, safe etc.
Although this hotel is conviniently located only a short walk from Earls Court tube, you do have to walk through a quiet and dimly lit alley. As I was a lone female guest I did feel slighty uncomfortable with this walk at night. Breakfast didn't start untill 7am which could be late for some business users (I had to leave the hotel at 6:50am).
Fantastic staff, more than helpful, great breakfast, quiet room, easy access to tube.
Modern, clean, friendly staff.
Rooms a tad too small, WIFI coverage patchy, a bit out of the way
A warm, comfortable, welcoming hotel that I would totally recommend.
Very kind helpful staff.
Minute shower, breakfast was not remarkable
Friendly helpful staff. Clean well maintained with a decent buffet breakfast.
Cozy, warm athmosphere, helpful personel, silence... You enter the hotel as if you are entering to your house in the centre of London.
Location & the foyer was nice too. Bedroom was at the rear of building so quieter.
Bedsheets & mattress protector didn't fit the bed - had to remake the bed in the middle of the night. Double bed pushed against the wall. TV case caused the sound to vibrate and muffle. No tea & coffee making facilities. Tiniest shower ever. Highly overpriced for the room we were given.
The welcome is remarkable in Rockwell Hotel. Only for that, we shall return to it with pleasure. The decoration is of good taste and room comfortable.
Only disappointment: rooms have no bathtub
Quiet room Good quality linen Hotel felt safe
Superior single room was very small Continental breakfast at £10.50 good but too expensive
The staff were exceptionally polite and welcoming
Disappointed not to find a kettle - most of us like the facility to make a cup of tea or coffee
Excellent location near Earl's Court tube, beautiful hotel, quiet room.
Shower stall quite small with no place to put toiletries in stall except on floor (difficult to bend down in small stall!)
The hotel has a charming and cozy vibe, is nicely appointed - it does not feel worn or dated. The Rockwell is on very busy Cromwell Road, but the soundproofing is excellent. We slept very well.
We were surprised there was no coffee or tea service in the room. Otherwise, no suggestions.
situated very well 3minutes walk from Earl's Court Underground. charming atmosphere in a lovely old building, nice staff, good breakfast, felt like home (no big chain) single room was small but really OK. advantage was, it was heating up quickly when heating was turned on. windows insulated well from street-noises.
Professional staff Very nice room two blocks to tube Good breakfast room, excellent continental breakfast
Small but clean shower---but aren't they all small in UK?
Our room was extremely quiet and comfortable
No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
wanted to return with my husband but no disaabled access
nice toiletries comfortable pillows
very small room small shower with broken shampoo holder staff kept disturbing me to fill the fridge, remake my bed for night sleep etc (I know, I should have used the do not disturb label..), even on my check out day they knocked on my door (accidentally) half ah hour before I was planning to wake up..
Small room, tastefully decorated, great bed, feather pillows. Very quiet room with a spotless en suite. Lovely restaurant. Only wish I could have stayed longer.
The hotel is only 5 mins walking distance from the Earl's Court tube station, which is useful. Room was slightly small, but very clean. No issues with service. Good value for money
1) The triple-paned windows made it a quiet stay 2) Our second room was bright, cheery and clean with a high ceiling 3) The location was safe and a couple of blocks away from the tube.
1) The first room they assigned to us was in the basement with a low ceiling. It had two spiders & when we ran the shower, a blue, stench-filled liquid filled the tub. They moved us to another room on the ground floor which was pleasant. 2) However, it had a queen bed when we had paid for a king. They did not adjust the bill or give a room with a king bed. 3) We'd arrived late at night and when we asked the staff to allow us to check out at 12:45 pm the next day instead of at noon, they turned us down. That's a first for me at any hotel anywhere in the world. 4) We asked the staff to call us a mini-cab for Heathrow. They said it would cost us 45-50 pounds because we had 3 checked bags (normally, it should be 40 pounds from Kensington). However, when the mini-cab arrived, they told us it was going to be 60 pounds. Only after I flatly turned them down did they resort to the original quote of 50 pounds (which, too, was excessive). Overall, unhelpful staff on the second day and seriously disappointing first room. Otherwise, decent enough space.
Location: 5 mins walk from Earls Court Tube Station, well situated for west end and central London. Decoration: Modern, well finished and comfortable. Staff: friendly, welcoming and efficient. Room: well furnished. Facilities: WiFi, TV, Alarm clock radio, Safe, Towels, Toiletries & Gowns. 24 hour room service at reasonable rates. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again.
Not much really. Being picky, there's no kettle and tea/coffee facilities (staff answer "we provide room service") No trouser press or gym if that's important to you.
Location close to the Earl’s Court nice area with good transportation services and a lot of restaurants, pubs and shops. Interesting building restructuring and refurbishment Very nice garden, pleasant to stay Staff is really good. Always helpful, efficient and smiling. We were really impressed by the kindness and the efficiency of the personnel looking after the breakfast Breakfast quality
We were given a small room at the 4th floor. The space for bed was insufficient and the placement was quite unconfortable, the bathroom was very small. The shower was even smaller. Hot water supply comes probably from France. It takes at least 15-20 minutes to have hot water at any time. Hot water in the shower (when available) almost difficult to control Poor quality wifi in the room. It improves significantly in the corridor Breakfast additional requests are expensive Laundry services very expensive There was a lot of rubbish in the next house and also the waste management can be improved. We had rubbish of the hotel left in the front of the hotel for two days before collection
Very clean, modern room. Ideally located to access: - The Royal Albert Hall - The Science Museum - Natural History Museum - Hyde Park - The V&A Museum - Earl's Court Surprisingly quiet even though it's on a busy road. Tube (Earl's Court) is only a 5-10 minute walk away. There are a number of restraunts and even a Sainsbury's within a few minutes.
Wifi was poor - I could see (intermittently) about 6 of the hotel's networks but often could not connect. When I finally got a connection, it was slow.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a good night's sleep both evenings. Breakfast was good with a variety of options. We enjoyed our stay.
