A call from the lady who runs the Rookeries to see when I was intending to check in. A wide selection of DVDs, on the off chance that I wanted to use the flat-screen TV in the room. A fantastic breakfast!
The Rookery was clean, quiet, and beautiful--especially the garden. Steve and Avaril were welcoming and kind. The next time in Bristol I will be staying there again.
Very comfortable and welcoming. Parking was tight, but worked out fine. My room was a single room - very small and coffin-like, but perfectly serviceable for my needs. I was travelling for work purposes, so I was happy to find a tiny desk in the corner. There's a very decent pub 5 minutes' walk away across the dual carriageway, if you want to eat out.
The B&B is on the Gloucester Road (A38), which is a noisy, congested dual carriageway during the rush hours – although, at other times, it's surprisingly quiet. If coming from the East, it isn't straightforward to find - you have to drive past it westwards, and do a complicated U-turn.
the friendly staff the garden which we sat in with lovely secluded area gorgeous setting well maintained lovely fishpond and paticullary enjoyed the breeakfast and love how all rooms are named after birds would highly reccommend this hotel to anyone and if in that area certainly will stay again
theres nothing not to like about this place
Beds are very comfortable and breakfast is good.
Excellent warm welcome, great cleanliness
Wifi code would be ideal of left in note form on the tables
Very helpful and great breakfast
Breakfast - very good Staff - very friendly and helpful Location - excellent - quiet area but easy to walk or take bus into centre. Parking & wifi included - great.
Curtains let in too much light, I wake up too early with the light let in. Double bed is too small for two people in comfort. Shower needs mold cleaned.
Very nice friendly people, very comfortable and clean.
The owners telephoned on the morning of the arrival to inform us of the time the room would be ready. The room was really comfortable and breakfast was good. We felt very welcome.
Very friendly, breakfast was super. I felt like I was being looked after not just staying.
Not a lot, the hot water seemed to run out in the shower on the Monday?
The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you
Friendly, clean, cooked breakfast, value for money, parking available.
Noise from smokers close to bedroom window, heating in room not on in the morning, room little cold.
Very pleasant and welcoming owner. Took time to note and remember your name. Hearty breakfast, cooked to order. Good location if coming from north side of Bristol which suited me. Reasonably priced.
Due to late booking, got smallest room I was told (double for single occupancy). Was very cramped, even for single person. Difficulty sleeping as thin walls meant could hear guests talking in the corridor and in their rooms as well as staff in the kitchen early in the morning. Plumbing was very noisy, especially when water run in nearby rooms..
Although we only stayed for one night, we were made to feel welcome and the staff were very friendly.
We found no real concerns.
Breakfast Friendly staff
Welcome was warm and friendly rooms clean with comfortable beds and th food delicious. Location on A38 nr M5 excellent
