Staff couldn't have been more helpful and everything was plain, simple and with no frills. Nice local beer and a generous breakfast.

There was a very bright smoke alarm light in the bedroom which gave a green tinge to the ambience!

Good full English cooked breakfast. The Rose and Crown is situated in a small village. The cows regularly plod past the hotel adding to a rural atmospheric feel to the area. Richard the owner is happy to suggest places to visit. We were visiting relatives in Honley so the location of the pub was ideal for our visits.

The staff couldnt have been more friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic and we loved the refill of the Yorkshire Tea. We would definately visit again as the pub was so warm and friendly in a beautiful location. Thank you

The stair hand rail could have done with a wipe, very sticky from the beer. Sorry to have to put this as everything else was great.

The friendly welcome on arrival which continued through out our stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed our bar meals in the evening and a nice big breakfast to see us on our way. We would stay here again !

If I have choose something for this, it would be creaky floorboards in the bedrooms.

Friendly staff. Food good quality - excellent fish and chips. Wanted an early start to get to the Tour de France and Richard the proprietor and his daughter got up especially just for me and my son. Good live music - even bought the cd of the solo artist on acoustic.

Cycling back up the hill to the Rose and Crown after the Tour de France and only being able to have a pint of the well kept Ale before I had to head for home.

Friendly staff whom we felt as though we'd known for years! Very homely and just simply lovely - the food is terrific and the portions are huge! We wish that we lived nearer as we could stay more often; however, we'll definitely be back! Thank you to Shelley, Richard and the team - you've certainly got what it takes to make customers content! The saying in your pub is "Enter as strangers and leave as friends" - spot on!!!

Nothing - it was all brilliant!
