Great staff - so friendly and helpful. Great location for walking in Swithland and Charnwood. Good breakfast - particularly wonderful pastries! Terrace and gardens a perfect place for afternoon tea.
Contacting the hotel to inform them of a change of plan proved difficult.
Could not sleep because of noise from downstairs wedding reception.
We were impressed that the staff were helpful and pleasant, also that the hotel was dog friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others.
Not being in the main building as it threw it down with rain during our visit so we got soaked.
nice quiet area, set in woodland, excellent staff and very good food.
radiator whistling loudly at 6.30am. This hotel is great if there isn't a wedding on but they do special offers and sometimes have weddings every day of the week.
Great place to stay would recommend
Beautiful historic building, gardens, restaurant and food, lovely room, welcoming staff
slow bar service, toilet needed attention as not flushing properly in our en suite, inattention to a few details by waiting staff in restaurant
Showers didn't get cold at all.
Location, Rooms, Staff
Food did not meet expectations - not same standard as rest of hotel (more like pub food). I note that you do not ask for ratings on the food on your feedback survey.
Historic buildings Breakfast was good
Forgot to order our newspaper
The staff were very attentive. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent, both food and staff Very relaxed atmosphere for guests despite the fact that it is a major wedding venue. The historical connections of the building and connected 11th c chapel. All in all an excellent choice
The wi-fi seemed unnecessarily complicated - I gave up on it
food and staff were both fantastic
Appeared to be short staffed, waiting to check in and served at the bar
Old English Inn style. Excellent breakfast menu Food quality and service
We stayed overnight prior to our sons graduation. Staff were friendly and helpful, bedrooms were lovely and spacious and beautifully decorated, breakfast was delicious and location was perfect.
The atmosphere, the staff when we had our sit down meal. Just the relaxed manner of the staff. Not once did we feel uncomfortable, breakfast was the same. We would recommend The Rothley Court Hotel to anyone, great!!!!!!!!!
Just one small thing, the bar only had one person on. My daughter asked for 3 glasses of water, with a dash of lime, and was charged £5. For tap water that was a rip off
our room was excellent, clean & comfy food very good & plentiful
the climb up the stairs to our room with the bags nearly had heart attack
They host a lot of weddings. Our bedrooms directly over room where wedding reception party held so noise was appalling. Hotel was not full so was annoyed that we had not been put in quieter rooms.
location and setting. Staff & food
to hot in the room. couldnt open the window. facilities monopolised by wedding guests every day
Lovely old building in very pleasant grounds, very helpful and well mannered staff
It was amazing. The staff were incredibly patient with our wedding party and actively took part in the joy of the occasion. The manageress in charge of breakfast deserves a very high salary:) There was nothing I would have changed. I wonder where you all got your energy from. Thank you.
I didn't like the reality that I couldn't come and stay there every month;)
excellent venue fora wedding
Old historic building
Despite refurbishment still tatty, rooms need refurb.
Very nice quiet rooms, smashing old place in beautiful grounds.
Paying twice as much as last time,
Although the evening meal was terrible. Complained at the time but no explanation or refund offered.
Breakfast on the reverse was excellent
We really enjoyed our stay ,the reason we were there, was my Son was getting married at Rothley Court , The staff were amazing, nothing was to much trouble, food was excellent , I would recommend this place beautiful gardens and as I said the staff were polite and couldn't do enough to help , so a big thank you to them .
This was minor really but the chair covers that had been hired for the wedding were dirty and when replaced we had to iron them they were badly creased , the carpet also needed an Hoover , cake on the floor from the wedding the day previous , I think the room needed a once over with a duster and glass cleaner
