Beautiful hotel, lots of character, great space for children, breakfast was lovely and staff very professional, plenty of choice and good quality produce.
Slow service in the restaurant in the evening, ordered after dinner drinks, they never arrived.
large comfortable room.
the measly breakfast is served on a giant cold plate and staff didn't engage with you or even as if we wanted sauce. we stayed at the riverside b+b just down the road and the breakfast was amazing in comparison.
The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was excellent with lots of choices the accommodation was fairly priced and staf we're welcoming
Excellent value for money and the comfiest bed I've had at a hotel ever!
Hotel grounds pleasant, Hotel period decor, Food excellent (wedding meal and breakfast), helpful staff, excellent room furnishings and comfortable bed. Good value for money
No chest of drawers in bedroom, climb to room (No. 9) interesting!
A very comfortable hotel with very pleasant helpful staff.
Music playing loudly until midnight even though it was a Sunday evening.
The decor, room, gardens, history excellent.
Breakfast and service was below expected standard.
Loved the character of the place and the staff were very attentive! Food was very good and great value. Very good selection for breakfast!
Poor Internet service and mobile reception, and the room was far too hot the heating was on all night so my sleep was poor. As I was on a ground floor I didn't feel I could open the window for security reasons.
I liked the building and saroundings and the friendley staff
N/a was all good
Nice room, friendly staff, good breakfast
Bit disappointed to be in the Mews, not in the main house
Returned after 40 years - we spent our wedding night at Rothley Court. While it has been nicely updated it retained its charm and the food was excellent
Got a family room for the two of us so it was huge, excellent value for money. The grounds and surrounding area are very nice.
Floors creaked, especially in bathroom and extractor fan was very noisy. Window was very small for size of room. Stayed in annex which wasn't a problem as the weather was good but can see it being a problem if the weather was cold wet etc, a hundred yard walk there and back for food etc in the rain would not be good.
The restaurant settingand the feel of the whole hotel.
A delightful period hotel set in beautiful grounds situated on the outskirts of Leicester. The food choice was extremely good, in particular, the breakfast menu. Good value for money, I thoroughly recommend it.
Noisy wedding guests. Staff only interested in attending to them
Noise until 2:30am from wedding party.
we were given a warm friendly welcome. All staff were polite and friendly and very helpful. The room was well equipped clean and comfortable. We asked for a quiet room and the room was in a quiet area. The grounds were lovely and offered plenty of outdoor seating. We dined 2nights out of 3 in the restaurant and the selection was excellent .Both evenings our meals were well cooked and presented well. Waitress staff lovely. Breakfasts on all 3 days were delicious. We couldn't fault the food or service. We would return to Rothley Court and recommend it to friends and family A great weekend break.i
There wasn't a toilet brush in the bathroom.
Atmosphere, friendly staff, location My room 8 was well appointed with a good sized bed. Choice at breakfast was good and staff helpfull
Due to wedding disco on a Sunday night until midnight it was not possible ti sleep in room 8 then 12 without the disco BEAT.
Very friendly staff that seemed to care. Lovely location. Reasonably priced food. Good shower.
Mews rooms have thin walls. No complimentary shower gel or shampoo only hand wash and hand cream. I had to go out and buy some.
great value for money - very interesting place to stay
staying in a separate building to the main building
The character of the buildings. The history was intriguing.
Could hear a person in the next room snoring.
This place delivered everything that I was after great location very relaxing and all old worldly feel to it just what I love about a place like this
Only a minor detail but one that should be addressed in the future hairs in plug hole and bath thats a No No
Stayed here for a wedding and found the hotel clean, staff attentive and facilities great. We were allowed to check in early, room came well stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits and hair dryer.
Bit out of the way if you want to visit anywhere locally other than the village but as we were for a wedding at the same venue it was perfect :-)
Everything was top notch.
