Attentive staff nice surrounding good food
Dripping tap in the bath signal for Internet in and out
A beautiful hotel, in lovely grounds. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Clean, comfortable rooms with a good supply of towels. Second time we've stayed and won't be the last!
Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast catering for all tastes. Pleasant room. Super looking inside and out.
Wifi in the annex quite poor.
The location is beautiful set in park land with grazing horses and beautiful gardens. The hotel is listed and it oodles character. our room was in the main house and had lovely views and was tastefully decorated. Can't fault the hotel at all.
However the menu and quality of the food let it down. I had to send my turkey roast dinner back as it came with clotted gravy all over it and was Luke warm...it appeared to have been warmed up and not fresh. No chef would ever let anything so bad leave their kitchen! It was off the Chefs Special Menu too! They did apologise and redo it but the damage had been done. We ate out every night after that. The breakfasts were good but cleaning staff kept walking through the restaurant whilst we were eating with their buckets and mops! Not good. A beautiful hotel ruined by some carelessness by the staff. Such a shame.
The food was excellent as was all of the staff, who gave great service
After changing rooms twice as the water was cold, and the 2 rooms that did have hot water ,the colour of the water was Yellow!!!! Not good.Told it could be due to road works. However I wasn't going to shower or wash my teeth in it
The food was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable bedroom. Good facilities.
Noisy toilet flush in annex rooms. Could hear neighbouring rooms on and off throughout the night.
Setting is lovely. Had our wedding reception here 20 years ago and it still has the same charm
Would expect complimentary toiletries for the price and a mini bar in the room so quite disappointed
Friendly staff and food was excellent.
Decoration needs update in bathrooms and carpets
Good size room. Well appointed bar. First rate breakfast with plenty of choice to suit just about everyone I would think.
Having to go outside to main hotel building for the dining room. Could be rather a nuisance on a wet and cold winters' day.
We gave been going back on our anniversary for the past few years, as we had our wedding lunch their and stayed in the bridal suite on our wedding night. It's just brings back so many memories. The staff our brilliant & caring and nothing is too much trouble. We will book again for next year as soon as we can!!
Nothing, everything was perfect just like on our wedding day.
The overall character and period feel of the hotel made a lovely change from more modern counterparts.
Got hot water for a bath but couldn't get hot water through shower! (Probably just me)
beautiful building and pleasant grounds.
Value for money Friendly staff
The bar and dining room are full of character and the evening meal for 4 adults and 2 children was enjoyable.
Although the room was comfortable one of the bedside lights did not work properly and despite our efforts we were unable to obtain anything more than Luke warm water from the taps and the shower.
Staff were professional and friendly. Breakfast was great and I only wish I'd had more time to sample more options. The restaurant menu had a comprehensive choice and was good value for money. My room was spacious and comfortable. Mobile signal was poor but WiFi was fine. A lovely stay.
setting, historical but comfortable, breakfast and comfy bed, great shower.
few cobwebs in room.
Reception desk not staffed continuously
Location, aspect and main house
Room quite basic and separate to main house.
The warm welcome, the wood paneled lounge and open fires.
Staff were excellent, moving me to a different room with better Wi-Fi without any problems. Breakfast staff very helpful to a later arrival
Rooms a bit "tired"; old fashioned single glazed metal windows with lots of condensation
Lovely setting Reasonable rate
Bed was quite lumpy but I was so tired for one night it didn't matter. I thing 2+ nights and I may have grumbled more!
Superb hotel, and excellent restaurant.Very friendly staff Will definitely stay there again
The Rothley Court hotel is located quite close to the M1, has ample free parking. The Wi-Fi is free, the food is excellent and the room was very comfortable. Would recommend.
fan in bath room not working and light bulb gone in bedroom
The old features of the court, plus the gardens where stunning.
I was very disappoint with the room I stayed in, was not very clean especially the bathroom, there where mould every were, plus there were hairs every where to. Didn't sleep very well as we could hear everything doors slamming, people moving around early in the morning. And we were very cold couldn't get the heating to work.
