눉Nothing! Oh tes, that i didn't request Room 35 - Dickens room!!
눇The hotel is a fitting tribute to the old world charm that has been an institution since 1776 in Broadstairs.
Set in the grand, former residence of Charles Dickens, the Georgian-era charm of the hotel adds to it's cosiness,
It's not the most up to date and swankiest hotel out there........there are plenty of 'fake bling' hotels with no history. Elegant rooms are tasteful and clean, and the magnificent breakfast is fresh and cooked to order - a nice touch! Service is impeccable, with Stuart and Adam in the restaurant deserving of special mention, as their attention to service was magnificent. Nothing was too much trouble, greeted with a polite smile - Make sure you keep these treasures Royal Albion!
Yes, the public areas look well used and tired, and you can see why it is a 3 star. But to focus on that is missing the point of this magnificent hotel, steeped in history!
