This charming B&B is located in the beautiful countryside village of Congerstone. A former working farm, parts of the property date back to the 13th century.

In 11 acres of gardens, Bosworth Hall is just outside the village of Market Bosworth. It offers free parking, Crompton’s Restaurant and a leisure centre with a pool and gym.

The Atherstone Red Lion is a beautiful 500-year old former coaching inn, offering free Wi-Fi and an authentic Italian restaurant. Birmingham International Airport and the NEC are just 15 miles away.

Set in one and a half acres of ground overlooking the Leicestershire countryside, this hotel has a south-facing patio so you can relax outside in warmer weather.

Deluxe room not deluxe by my experience of deluxe rooms. Poor shower, poor TV, poor bed.
The only good point was the comfort of the bed
They advertise handmade home cooked chips then serve frozen ones. Blinds do not fit windows in the room and there are no curtains so in the morning the room was really light. Had a function on which ran into the early hours of the morning keeping us awake. Anniversary weekend was totally ruined, very disappointed
Pleasant views from the bedroom
We had a rather disappointing stay at the Royal Arms. We stayed for two nights in December. As a special occasion I had upgraded our room to a four poster room. The room in the barn conversation was quite small and certainly not worth an extra £25. Indeed the room was so small that there was only space for one comfy chair! Not what I expected from a Four Poster Bed Room, which meant that we had to sit in the bar if we wanted to relax. There was a nice real fire in the bar but the only seats near it weren't very comfortable and there was a dreadful draught. The alternative was to sit on a sofa between the bar and the restaurant - but this was close to the service area and an outside door which the staff left open as often as they closed - which meant there was an unacceptable draught here as well. So I couldn't recommend the hotel. We met up with friends for a meal on our first evening. This wasn't a disaster but it wasn't very good. 5 of the 6 of us had issues with at least one course. I had chicken liver pate which, frankly was very ordinary. It had little going for it and very little flavour. I then had ham hock which was severely overcooked and had a honey glaze which was far too sweet especially with a very sweet port reduction sauce. Not pleasant at all. (And when I complained about it I was told it was one of the most popular dishes - as though that would make things better!). For dessert I had cheesecake which had far too much cream and far too little cheese in it. Again I struggled to eat it although I was now still rather hungry! Others in our party had similarly disappointing meals - a brandy sauce with no discernible taste of brandy etc etc . The next evening my meal was slightly better but my steak was again overcooked. So I could not possibly recommend the restaurant. And, at the prices charged, I would have to say this is a place to avoid.
The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Everything in the bathroom worked as it should. There was plenty of space in the car park.
Excellent evening meal and very comfortable accommodation.
The breakfast could have been more varied. For instance, a choice of continental breakfast, or some muesli and more fruit.
Rooms were clean and the bed was extremely comfortable
The bill was wrong at the end of our stay, they had added sweets and wine which we had not had. However they quickly sorted this.
We arrived late in the evening on the Friday night, the staff were very helpful in getting us parked despite the hotel hosting a major event that evening and also seating us in the restaurant. The food and the guest real ale were excellent on both evenings. The room was comfortable and clean, with beautiful views over neighbouring countryside. The staff were also helpful in providing a map for our walk to the nearby Battle of Bosworth centre. Overall, a fantastic weekend.
no internet access on second/third days
Bar, restaurant staff are all very welcoming smart and professional service is first class Resturant bar areas are super and perfect to relax into.
I think the bed rooms and imparticularly the bathrooms need an update. A lot of noise from unruly unsupervised children in ajoining or above our room. en-suite bathrooms dated, no bath, and shower pretty useless and old, clogged with limescale all very much outdated and old fashioned by modern standards. Hot water at a premium, took ages to arrive then not so hot.either
Good food, nice location, very friendly staff.
No internet in rooms.
room bed service
Beer was not quite right.
Nice and quiet plentiful parking. Comfortable accomodation.
Arriving after a hard days work at 6pm - No Lager available as pipes being cleaned. Not many customers want a drink at 10am a a great time to clean the pipes.
WiFi didn't work. Room was cold and tired. Food was very average
Staff very friendly , food good room nice
The bed mattress very hard and uncomfortable
The food was very delicious despite being expensive. The staff were very friendly and the service was very good.
We booked a suite and would have expected a little more comfort due to the increase in price but the mattress was very lumpy and uncomfortable. Cleanliness was good but not great. Water pressure in shower was very poor
Royal Arms itself is fine serving a tasty breakfast.
Cleanliness of the room ( bridal suite )left a lot to be desired, dead wasp beneath the duvet, confetti pieces on carpet, toilet was black beneath the waterline, mattress was very uncomfortable ( you could feel the springs ) shower totally inadequate.
Lovely part of England. Food excellent , our room was also upgraded - nice surprise
Advertised real ales but only one available! Toilet in bedroom not working properly and could have done with a really good clean!! White wine in the bar not particularly cold!
Good value for money
Bed a bit hard
This is our 2nd year on the run staying here so that we can get to the battle field in time for the Rose Laying ceremony on August 22.in time .The food in the restaurant is always superb .Last October we even popped in for Sunday lunch .en route to the battle field with Australian visitors I just wish we lived a little nearer than the 70 miles we have to travel to get there, we would become regulars.
Finding the battle field and Sutton Chenny is always a problem for us even our 'sat nav' seem to go on strike ...also . the way the prices are reduced the nearer to the time you want to stay it seems unfair that booking early you get to pay a great deal more than someone who booked late .
Best thing??. A sensible shelf in the bathroom to put ones wash-bag etc on instead of the loo seat. The beds were reasonably comfortable and the area was quiet.
The beds rolled away from the wall and us rather too easily.Strange way of serving breakfast & rather expensive if you didn't have a full English etc. Tried to charge more than was quoted.Very heavy bedding.
Staff very helpful . Good food we have stayed there before
Dark room; heavy bed clothes; minimal breakfast.
Excellent location, beautiful views restaurant lovely. Staff very friendly.
Mattress not very comfortable
hotel is supposed to be 4 star but the room we had would not have been out of place as a 2 star, small shower, only brown sugar no sweetener in with the tea and coffee
Room itself was nicely decorated.
Bed was horrendous! Mattress needed replacing as all the springs were pointing out and stabing into our bodies. Impossible to sleep! WC didnt work and we couldnt flush the toilet. Quite nasty really! Poor tea&coffee service, not even some biscuits... and only a small bottle of water to share between both of us. Disappointing experience!
