Room was lovely, overlooking the harbour, dinner bit disappointing, steak was over cooked + tough but overall lovely hotel + we will definitely go back
Fresh and clean decor throughout, and brilliant shower! Reception staff extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Although an excellent hotel, it's probably slightly overpriced for the area. Breakfast service was a little slow.
Excellent rooms,food and bar
Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Large spacious room
THE HOTEL WAS IN A GOOD LOCATION AND THE FOOD WAS GOOD
THE TOWN WAS A DISSAPPONTMENT
Everything was just perfect! We would stay here again anytime.
Rooms as good as big city hotel rooms if not 5 Star it is close.
Spacious rooms, good bathroom with piping hot strong shower. Nice view over the harbour. Good brekky.
Friendly and attentive staff. Accommodation was wonderful; lacking in nothing. Parking and location were also excellent.
everything - breakfast and dinner excellent.
no port in the bars!! so missed our evening tipple
The location was perfect ,and loads of parking
The price of the food was high for what it was. you could not open the windows enough and it was very hot and uncomfortable in the room. very, very drunk loud guests who woke me up at 2am with their attempt at singing in the corridors. when a complaint was lodged at check out I only got an apology. the staff said that they knew who it was and they would speak to them again as they have done it before. I would be offering them a room at the local hostel. premier Inn (a budget hotel) offer a good night guarantee! Broken beer glass on pavement next to my car.
Location, harbour view room. Breakfast, particularly the porridge! The free shuttle bus service between The Royal Hotel & The Ugadale Hotel in Macrahanish is superb! Drivers excellent and very friendly. Made our stay being able to shuttle back and forth between resorts, as the boys were golfing at the Dunes/Old Course.
Check in - late in having room ready. We arrived at 1.30 and had drinks in the bar till check in time. When we went to check in at 3.30 (half an hour after) - my room wasn't ready till 3.45 and my friends room wasn't ready till 4.10! Not very impressed with having to wait so long after the 3pm check in time.
Situated right on the edge of the loch. Amazing views, comfortable rooms, felt like royality, food great too, staff friendly, campbell town full of friendly people, busier than you would expect.
This hotel is very comfortable, amazing massive beds with the most luxurious pillows every, we had the best sleep ever. Plus we had the Full Scottish Breakfast and there was not a bit of oil or fat, very impressive. I would definitely recommend anybody to try this hotel plus the sister hotel ugadale as we stayed in this hotel the evening before, the standards portray throughout each hotel.
Lovely view of the Harbor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice breakfast and restaurant
Central location Beautiful, spacious rooms Friendly staff Fantastic food
Comfort and decor of room.
Welcome! Receptionist when we arrived gave no welcome - no eye contact or smile. Needing training although she was mature. Marked difference with reception staff the following morning who were charming.
The location right on the harbour front was good. The décor of the hotel and of our spacious room in particular was exceptional, all the furnishing and facilities were of the highest standard. Dining at the hotel was very good with a great selection.
The coffee and tea making facilities were provided on a tray (to which the kettle was fixed) located in the wardrobe and had to be taken out to use. The only electrical socket I could find available was under the dressing table and therefore the tray had to be left on the floor. This I feel is a health and safety issue, and a potential accident waiting to happen. Although the choices for breakfast were very good, it was somewhat disappointing in that the main selection for the continental breakfast was located in front of a window and were therefore warmed and dried by the sun's rays.
Lovely room with a nice view of the harbour. Great location. Very comfortable bed and breakfast was nice too.
'Free' wifi actually comes with a £3 'services' charge at checkout. Found it quite sly and underhanded how there was no mention of this charge until they hand you your bill at checkout. It was only £3 but was annoyed at how it was done - not very nice customer service!
Cleanliness of room; good quality TV and reception in room (so I could watch world cup matches!). Excellent restaurant.
Wines were a bit on the expensive side.
great location, very nice room with a view. Good toiletries. Comfortable bed. Good linen.Staff in restaurant were very polite and efficient
Having to pay full whack to stay on my own. Being charged for a bus service and wi fi. Didn't use the bus but got this additional charge taken off. Think the room rate was steep. Food in the restaurant was also expensive but it was good. restaurant is noisy due to wooden floor and no tablecloths.
Relaxing, comfortable, good food.
Additional cost for wifi.
views from turret room on third floor were fantastic and furnishings were all obviously pretty new . Everything was replaced if used. Food was excellent and plentyful.
could do with some door closures on bedrooms to avoid noise .We like a lounge to sit in after dinner to talk to other guests
I thought the hotel was excellent and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating.
