Breakfast was rubbish not enough staff on duty and had to wait ages for a table which had not been relaid the young lad on duty did not have the experaince to cope
Comfortable, clean, quiet and spacious. Free Wi-Fi and a lovely pool.
No fridge in room
The location is great and it had real character
Can't actually fault it
friendly staff good facilities excellent food well presented
Room was dusty, skirting boards thick dust. Decor drab and tired. Food overpriced for what it was. Service at breakfast inefficient.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was served fresh, hot and to order which was a nice change!!
Room could do with a little updating.
Staff are some of the best we have met, well done.
Car park could do with a bit of attention in places.
1/ Music played from 06.30-22.30 2/ No air vent or air con 3/ Poor on-suite
Constant Music playing worst of Pop// very awfull.
Room was good size and comfortable. The pool was warm. The receptionist helpful
A booking requests made and checked by telephone was ignored. The management was indifferent to a complaint.
Large clean rooms. Nice breakfast with plenty of variety. Staff were helpful and friendly. Shame the pool was closed.
Staff helpful and very friendly.
Majority of staff were very friendly and helpful, answered our questions and dealt with any issues quickly and politely. Some issues were outside of their control such as the ineffective heating but they did their best to ensure our comfort.
Room extremely cold due to ineffective radiators and hotel needs updating, particularly the bathrooms. Our shower was not the best giving out luke warm water at a slow trickle. Food was mediocre; some of it overcooked and at breakfast some main items ran out less than an hour into service. At £100 per night I would expect better.
The staff were very professional and the food (wedding breakfast, evening buffet & breakfast the following day) was excellent. Very large, comfy bed too.
Drinks purchased at the bar were a tad expensive
Room was warm quiet and of good size
I arrived for Breakfast some 15 - 20 mins after official end time and although the breakfast room was still very active with some poeple only just served their cooked breakfast i was told I was too late and refused a full breakfast service. No attempt made to offer me any subset of the full breakfast and only got tea and toast The bed frame was so wide that it covered the switches on the wall for turning the lights on and off Very small TV for size of room
Good clean refurbished room with excellent bed.
V noisy traffic from early am in weekdays. tasteless toast and scrambled egg
Friendly staff x
The whole hotel is showing its age. My chair in the dining room was falling apart, paper coming off the wall in the bedroom and bathroom. Room heater had to be provided as heating system not working. Pump in swimming pool running all night, kept me awake. Apart from that all fine.
Good Hotel Breakfast good Rooms Ok and Clean Just I think a bit over Expensive for a Country Hotel
The Bathroom Taps. Economy water supply and splashing.
Location and clean and comfortable
Additions to cost of dinner
setting - beauty of tall trees and lawn and easy access from main road but well soundproofed. Beauty of the period building. The Swimming pool! The spacious and well appointed dining area and bar. A place of gentle harmony and order which helps you to relax and feel at peace. All comforts are provided and if you need anything the staff are alert and keen to offer their help and service and genuinely nice and real people who seem to love the Hotel.
£75 for a single night but it is normal
Reception staff on arrival too busy to serve us as chatting on phone to friend .On check out at 10.30 we found an empty reception . One receptionist appeared and said she was off duty and that the on duty had gone to get breakfast. Training in customer service is advised,
The staff were extremely good and very sensitive to our needs.
The fact that there was no piped music or TVs. Lovely sitting room with books and wonderful photographs on the walls. Swimming pool. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The bath shower was tricky and it wasn't possible to get the water as hot as I would have liked.
