Breakfast was good. No hot water from tap on night of stay. Room was small and basic. Nightclub behind the hotel was noisy and had hundreds of drunk people leaving and loitering in hotel foyer. Car park looked unsafe. Foyer stank of cigarettes. Ensuite dated and too dark

The Royal Hotel was a fabulous place to stay with the facilities all excellent, food was superb with a great variety to choose from and priced to enjoy. Really great value for money. The staff were all very friendly, professional, and very helpful, going out of there way to ensure I had the best experience on my visit. The bedroom was exceptionally clean, with the bed being comfortable and the ensuite bright with loads of hot water. The atmosphere within the Hotel was very friendly and all the residents staying that I was speaking to all commented on it being a great place to stay. If I am travelling in Cookstown again I will defintely stay here again and would recomend it to my friends and colleagues. Nothing negative to say about this Hotel all positive!

The most of the staff were unwelcoming with the exception of the young barman. The three times I went for breakfast I was moved from the table I sat at, even though the dinning was completely empty . When I went to pay my bill in the morning of departure . I was told rather sharply I should of payed the night before and would have to wait . Considering Northern Ireland is trying attract more tourist buisness the royal hotel cookstown did nothing to help the reputation of the area.

Stayed in the newly decorated Superior King Room for busy Halloween weekend and was pleasantly surprised at its luxury decor and modern appliances such as wall mounted flatscreen, iPod/iPhone speaker dock and modern power shower. Was concerned that the room looked onto main road but the noise insulation is perfect and it is located a minute from the Main Street. There are parts that are slightly dated such as having no lift. The walls between the rooms are slightly too thin so even light talking can be easily heard

friendly staff. nice food. we could hear music from its night club until 2.10 am. felt like we had our own personal band in our room, so for that reason wont be staying there again. obviously rooms are poorly sound proofed for such events.

Good location. Very poor standard of accomodation in need of modernisation, rotten skirting boards in ensuite, small wash basin & shower although the room was clean. Breakfast was ok but we could clearly over hear the kitchen staff passing unpleasant comments about us! Car park was very tight & held eight cars at a squeeze. Won't be going back!
