This hotel is just a 15 minute walk from the center of town and only a 10 minute drive from the glorious beaches of North Devon.
Score from 377 reviews Very good
At Barnstaple's only 4-star hotel offering traditional Edwardian luxury, you can enjoy a central location overlooking the Taw River. There is a formal restaurant, free parking and large leafy grounds....
Score from 252 reviews Excellent
On the edge of town, Premier Inn Barnstaple has comfy beds, free parking and an on-site Table Table restaurant for tasty meals.
Score from 121 reviews Very good
Situated across from Rock Park and only a short level walk to the center of town, this modern 3-star hotel offers easy access to the countryside and beaches of North Devon.

Carvery excellent with lovely set tables and staff so nice!
Was told there were no rooms in the hotel so we went online and booked a room two minutes after being told they were full. I think we didnt dress smart enough so they did not want us there we only wanted the room nothing else
Staff really friendly and room was clean and comfortable
Car Park hard to find
The hotel was perfectly positioned for the bright lights and activities of Barnstaple. Staff were efficient and friendly. Room was lovely and had everything I could have wanted.
There was a bit of a noisy mascerator in the bathroom that would start up randomly, but aside from that (oh, and the view) it was a lovely stay and I'd go again.
Good stay again at this hotel..room very clean and comfortable..little noisey from outside but we are in the centre of town and it was Saturday night. We are dinner and it was lovely..waiting staff efficient and happy which always goes a long way to add to the enjoyment ..We will be going back again..Thanks
Everything!I stay at this hotel at least once a month whilst visiting friends, I have tried all other hotels in the area and this by far is the best one.
Friendly laid back staff. Happy to help but not all over you. Right in the middle of all the nightlife and still close to harbour
Nothing all good
Staff were attentive and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent with a good range of choices including fish and was delivered to your table, which is sadly becoming not the norm. Dinner also was tasty.
Location of my bedroom was not ideal as it looked out over an internal gloomy area, but a very minor point as air conditioning provided comfort.
good standard of accomadation and good value for money. staff were very helpful in all aspects.
Location and atmosphere
Excellent location, even though its town centre its quiet when in room,
Price, for 3 star hotel and no breakfast was high
Tastefully decorated room, wonderful atmosphere all around the hotel - Loved the Christmas decorations, staff were always friendly and courteous - Highly recommend
There is absolutely nothing we didn't like - Enjoyed everything about this hotel and would definitely book here again
The room service ladies are excellent. They are very very good. The staff in reception were also friendly and good.Rooms were clean and I had a good trip.
The only complaint is food.As a vegetarian I did not have any proper options. In breakfast I had milk and cereals only for vegetarians.Who would want to eat bread and cereals for 12 pounds.Even their lunch and dinner menu has 1 or 2 vegetarian dishes.
Location very close to the main bus station heading towards Exmoor. Cozy room.
Centre of town
Taxi rank seems to be right outside the front of the hotel so all the late pub and club customer all congregated outside my window at 4am.
Nice girl at recepcion desk Nice dinner at the restaurant Nice & helpful people at the restaurant
A little bit difficult to find by car at night
Staff friendliness as usual atmosphere and roast dinner, meal in florentine,s also good will stay again.
Car parking limited and was reduced by workmen parking however note hotel was around before number of cars
If I didn't like it, I would not keep coming back every month!
Location and value
Stayed in the Mews near kitchen so there was noice coming from kitchen at night and lots of coming and going pass room
Service was very good throughout. Room and bathroom comfortable and well stocked with everything that's expected.
Next door's tv was obviously on the wall the other side of the headboard of my bed. Even though it was not over-loud, it was still a disturbance.
Location -close to all amenities, obliging staff, comfortable rooms. A nice bar and restaurants good WiFi, and handy parking.
I can't think of anything!
The Hotel Staff were very friendlt and helpful. What ever we asked the Staff said yes or gave clear simple response to our question. We were not happy with room that we were given on arrival and we requested a room change which was dealt with immediately and without any fuss. The food at this hotel is very good. My Wife and I were impressed even when we had a long wait for our order, when staff were approached they were very apologetic and problem was sorted. We were also given a reduction in our bill to compensate for error that had occurred with our meal request. Loved staying at this hotel.
Car parking. Would be good for hotel to have a 'key/fob' system so one can come and go rather than having to wait for a staff member to open garage/parking area.
The heating in the rooms had been turned off.An oil heater was supplied but slow to warm. Bathroom light didn't work and no bath towels supplied, only hand towels. Bath towels requested and duly supplied and light repaired. But first impressions were disappointing.
Staff tried to be as helpful as possible. Nice ambience. Lift useful. Bathroom small but recently modernised. Good choice at breakfast and well looked after, not like some hotels where you don't know if it is self service or table service.reasonalbe price.
Unfortunately we arrived late evening and it was very noisy and the street seemed full of drunks. Had to park the car a short distance away and walk in amongst these people. Bedroom rather small. Scrambled egg of jelly-like consistency.
'Mews' accommodation. Central location in Barnstaple. Helpful, friendly staff.
Luke-warm hot water in bathroom.
