Our mews room was comfortable. We really enjoyed the carvery and coffee was served in the lounge where we were able to sit and read the sunday papers at our leisure.
Nothing to dislike. Just an observation that the decor needs to be updated. However, this did not effect the enjoyment of our stay.
Staff were good, the location and the food was good. Hotel had good atmosphere. also clean. The associated food bars were very good.
The room was okay except for the bathroom, which required an update, especially the toilet,
anti social behaviour all night
Hotel, Service, Staff and Food are always of a high standard at Brend Hotels
The staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay and are an asset to the hotel. We enjoyed a lovely room and an excellent dinner and would certainly go again.
Easy atmosphere, good selection of bars and restaurants. Great breakfast.
Choice of eating
The noise from the street at night from the club the attitude of the waiter at breakfast his demeana was one off "i don't want to be there!"
Grand building, great location.
Breakfast expensive, we went to the weatherspoons around the corner.
Friendly staff Beautiful breakfast
I loved the hotels interior, absolutely lovely, the restaurants on site were excellent, we were central to Barnstaple, with all the shopping, bars & restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean.
The noise outside at night, I enjoy a night out & a drink but the noise outside our window was quite bad, not the hotels fault, I appreciate but, our room was above a walkway to the side of the hotel which, everyone on a night out seemed to use as a shortcut and noisily so.
Kept getting woken up by drunks outside, possibly from the local nightclub. Wouldn't be a bad idea to get some siund proofing on your front windows. Hotel wasn't easy to find.
Excellent location, clean comfortable rooms and helpful, friendly staff.
Perfect location, cosy rooms, friendly staff
very small room, bouncy mattress, a thick layer of dust inside the grate of the auditor right by the bed
Apart from what we have put in the other box. We were so pleased with our stay. When we booked a room before with you. Our room overlooked the High Street and we had no complaints about that room a all.
A shortage of Parking Spaces for Patrons. In room 109 our only complaint was only Electrical Sockets both of which were behind the TV. Of which one we had to use to boil the Kettle.
We liked the staff and area hotel was in went for a lovely day trip to Clovelly which was purpose of going on the trip.
One of the rooms we were staying in was not very big was almost like a single room which a double bed had been put into.
The friendly welcome at the reception and restaurant. Nothing was to much trouble to the staff. Well done !
I loved that it was actual central
Lovely room, meals were very good.Staff helpfull.
Kindness and attention to guests
Everything was great
Big comfy bed Neutral decor Good shower
Soooo hot! Noisy air con Poor coffee in room - Nescafe! :-(
Service was great
Good location and friendly staff.
Lack of information on pre-booking of restaurant tables. Parking is a nightmare.
Friendly, helpful staff: 'downtown' location with parking facilities
The fact that the piece of A paper(rubbish) at the top of the stairs, on the way to room 414 remained there for the duration of our stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As we got there late there wasn't anywhere open to have a meal and one of the staff rang around the local takeaways and we were able to order, we were also allowed to eat it in the hotel restaurant.
