Our bedroom and the view over the River Tay
The bedroom we had on our first night. Thick curtains, bathroom out of date and step to bathroom which necessitated a light on all night.
Room w as cold
We had a suite , separate lounge area and a huge bathroom with top of the range fitments. it was a great first night of our holiday. would go back for sure.
Oh boy what a breakfast
Breakfast very good, and promptly served. If the fog had lifted the view of the silvery Tay would have been enjoyable! The staff were very helpful.
bed a standard double, which I would now avoid if possible. Up 2 flights and along some corridors with movement activated lighting. Car park tricky, but it was built long before cars were invented.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food at the hotel was very high quality, comfy beds and super location.
Staff, location, cleanliness. Above our expectations.
Wifi could be beefed up in the rooms.
Helpful friendly service. Comfortable seating in public spaces. Room spacious, clean and comfortable, the bed was excellent.
No prior notice that there was no lift. Bathroom tiles could do with a dust. The heavy curtains on stairs have drapes which are seriously in need of a thorough dust removal treatment.
Room was spacious, clean and old-fashioned. The hotel in general makes an impression of faded glory and thus price wise I find it on the steep side. Personell at reception were very friendly.
Our stay at the Royal George hotel began with a very warm welcome from the very polite and friendly lady at reception to check us in. Parking was a bit of a nightmare at first but all was sorted with her help. Hotel is very cozy + ideally situated. Staff were extremely polite + helpful . Breakfast was very tasty + plenty of choice + the high teas were excellent. Would definitely stay here again
hotel was acceptable but nothing stood out to make it special – if it was not for the staff friendliness it would just be another run of the mill hotel
although it is reasonably clean it needs a good thorough clean by someone who knows how to clean – sink plug in our suite did not work and no hot water at the sink (although we were advised it takes a minute to come through after 10 minutes it was still cold) – reported cleanliness and sink problems to management but nothing was done – beware of the barman in this hotel very obnoxious and rude person - would i stay again only if pushed
Great breakfast. Large selection. Helpful staff. Twin Room nicely decorated. great location
Could not fault it
Location Cleanness Tea and Coffee Maker Facility Bathroom Bed and pillows Parking Front Terrace
Too many devider between corridor Weak wifi signal and slow speed
Very confined parking
Lack of parking is a problem with all nearby parking controlled by council
Room was fine, bathroom was good. Thought furnishings were a bit tatty (threadbare fabric on seat arms etc) for the cost of the room.
Great views from corner room 22. Great big bed. Great big breakfast.
Car parking very limited and awkward
Right next to old bridge over river. Very impressive at night. Also close to North Inch (local park).
A long walk from railway station when you have luggage.
Service at breakfast was faultless
Service at bar in evening (Friday) was grumpy and unhelpful. Directions to car park were vague which was full anyway.
The breakfast menu choice was excellent, as was the location of the hotel.
Lovely traditional and historic hotel right next to the river Tay and handy fro the city centre. Comfy and spacious room, friendly and helpful staff and a delicious breakfast - perfect, we'll definitely stay again, many thanks.
Can't fault this hotel
The Location and excellent restaurant and service.
Not enough electric sockets in bedroom.
The location was brilliant. Car park, Excellent food. Friendly staff.
Room too warm and opening the windows didn't help at all.
Staff/ surroundings retain quality with tradition & mix today,s world as if it it is/was part of tradition same ilk.
