Lovely big room
The staff were fantastic especially the waiters/waitresses. Arrived and were upgraded to a suite, while at reception a waiter passed with a tray of cakes which my husband commented on..2 mins later he arrived back with 2 cakes my my daughter.oue room was lovely with a river view and was spotlessly clean and a comfy bed.i had been unwell with toothache so couldn't make breakfast but my wife n daughter said the options were fantastic and on hearing I couldnt make breakfast they sent up sausage sandwiches.will be back soon.
Carpark too small.
I was staying here for my friends' wedding (in the hotel) and it was brilliant. The whole wedding itself was great, the food was great, my room was a good size and very comfortable bed. Not noisy or smelly. Breakfast both days was amazing and such good service
I found the shower a bit hard to work out the temperature/pressure, not really an issue tho as I got a hot shower with good pressure once I'd worked it out.
Excellent staff and the breakfast was marvellous. Would definitely stay there again.
Very quiet room and comfy bed. Good location.
Only thing was that Wifi didn't work in basement room
All entrances have stairs requiring a guest, no matter how infirm, to pick up their luggage. From reception, once you get their attention, there are more stairs.
location food staff
Room 1 door could be pushed open when locked Room 2 was dark and dingey with no wifi signal Room 3 was a double room much better due to the fact i had already changed rooms 2 times.
Very comfortable bed and big bath
Not enough toiletries but not essential. Felt a bit impersonal but not so it spoiled my evening.
Room was large
No car parking Very small towls Breakfast poor
One night stay in this lovely old hotel with lots of character! Open fires in lounge, nice view of The Tay from dining room. Staff were all very helpful and friendly.Very good choice of breakfast.
Bit of trouble finding entrance and car park as sat nav took us to Tay Street, entrance actually on George Street, but will know for next visit. We stayed in the Black Watch Room, the step up from the door in bedroom caught us out a couple of times despite the warning on the door! Won't stop us from going back!
large spacious with view of the river breakfast food and service was very good convenient location for pubs and restaurants
service tray could have done with bottled water hairdryer would have been handy car park very small better parking on street if staying sat night
staff very friendly and helpful, good food, room very comfortable, within easy walking of town centre
very small parking area
Staff good , location good , suite good but no view .
Car parking , noisy weddings .
I emailed the hotel directly as my questions hadn't been answered on my initial booking. I received a quick and helpful response from Rebecca who we met when we checked in. The hotel is in a lovely setting and our room was clean and comfortable. The waitresses at breakfast were friendly and efficient! Check-out was effortless as well! Would definitely return!
When making the initial booking online, I had put a series of notes with regard to an early check-in assuming that someone would come back to me and answer my questions but they didn't. Upon check-in we noticed one of out towels was dirty and asked at reception if this could be changed but it wasn't. At breakfast, we went for the full cooked breakfast and was very disappointed with the bacon, it was fatty and chewy!
Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Quite despite being in centre of town. Good breakfast. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Lack of car parking.
Car parking. Terrible
The location, Food, staff and leisure facilities.
Poor maintnance in bath room.
Staff very friendly Room sizes good Bed enormous Bathroom noisy
Location, views, nice room, comfy, good wifi connection and excellent breakfast.
Limited carpark although managed to get a space easily. Price of soft drinks in bar close to beers and lagers!
Room was large, gorgeous views over the river and well decorated! Bathroom very large, corner bath and shower! Staff were friendly and helpful! Hotel conveniently located, not far a walk from town centre, restaurants and pubs! Breakfast, although early was good, tasty and had lots of choice
Only thing the room was lacking was a little bar fridge, we'd taken up some snacks, cheese and dips to keep us going but they were spoiled as we didn't have anywhere to store them! Hotel lobby was rather old fashioned. Breakfast finished at 9.30 which we thought was a bit too early for a lazy weekend!
Cozy and friendly staff. Nice breakfast
Excellent food. Breakfast has just about any hot dish you can think of. There is very long way for staff to walk to the kitchen, so the toast is cold by the time it gets to the table. Try to get a room with river view. Tay street has a fair amount of traffic during the day but the windows are double glazed and the rooms are not noisy. The staff, like all people we met in Scotland, are very helpful in unobtrusive way. We were 2 couples and had a river facing double (room 22) and a suite (room 33) decorated in a dreadful Chinese-Mandarin style. Spacious, but awful to look at. Their website shows suites with nice modern decor.
There are about 13 parking spaces in a yard 10' below street level. You may find a spot when people check out. Otherwise it's full 24/7. There is no space to turn around so you have to back out all the way to the street. I watched a black Range Rover - was later told it's the manager's car - take about 13 min to maneuver out of the parking yard. There is lot's of paid street parking between 50 pence and 2 pounds an hour within 5-15 min walk. If you turn left after the bridge (A90 sign) you can park for under 4 pounds for 10hrs. Free between 18:00 and 8:00.
Room 65. Nice and spacious. Bathroom very clean.
Staff at breakfast were very disorganized. However the food itself was good.
Great central location Friendly helpful staff
