Nice old building with attractive interiors in peaceful location. Good dinner and breakfast.
Staff, food, parking good links, nice and warm.
Poor water pressure on 2nd floor, lack of hot water
It was very near friends who we were visiting.
The room smelt of smoke even though a non-smoking policy had been adopted. air freshener was applied - that doesn't smell very nice either! Bathroom and fittings tired, some dirty. C Heating didn't come on in the morning
My room was a club room,so we got close together,,
Perfect location for Anthony Gormley's "another place". Friendly staff with great service.
All aspects of the hotel are of a very high standard, will certainly stay there again.
Staff were fantastic, great location, good breakfast, value for money, comfortable
Shower could have been stronger, heating in room was over powering but quite cold in bathroom
Good food and pleasant and helpful staff.
Staff Breakfast Bar Beach
WIFI and shower could be a little stronger.
Location and beach, great atmosphere
Some noise from rooms above and pillows not great
The bar is open late
They never seem to have a full length mirror in the rooms I stay in. I have stayed there many times and it is a shame there is no loyalty scheme set up either.
BREAKFAST EXCELLENT GOOD BED AND ROOM FACILITIES CLEAN AND TIDY
Bar meal was poor not worth the money.
Friendly atmosphere, no ask was too small. Very helpful staff in all departments.
Friendly staff Quality breakfast Good location Tidy hotel Spacious Room
Shower and sink sputtering when being used
Free On-Site Parking. Good Food. Friendly Reception.
Older Lady Behind Bar Gave One Word Answers & Really Didn't Want To Talk To Us. Out Of Shape Bumpy Mattress.
Staff very helpful & friendly. Excellent bar meal. Relaxing atmosphere.
Nothing to complain about.
Efficient, friendly, competent staff. Beautifully clean and comfortable bedroom and en-suite. Very good evening meal. Marvellous location, excellent for visiting Liverpool and for walking along the coast.
To be nit-picking: a grab handle on the bath would be advantageous; heating in communal areas could be reduced and thus save The Royal on their bills!
staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly, and the location was great. fab views of sea from our window, and near the wonderful gormley sculptures. also fascinating history of beautiful marine terrace - owner of white star line, and captain of titanic, both lived on the terrace (diff houses!). would stay again.
only down side was too much heat! wish you could turn down bathroom radiator, and hallway ones.
Very pleasant staff. I almost walked away without paying the bar tab run up by my sons on MY room but remembered just before I was off. No worries, no anger, no confusion - the guys (both young men and ladies) were on the ball. Excellent food and service. No waiting. Breakfast was personnally served by a delightful lady with a friendly, not overwhelming manner. Moved the table into one for the six of us.
Only stayed one night so not too fussed about lack of WiFi advertised. Didn't really ask myself but wife said she could not get but as I say she wasn't too fussed. There was a sign about the usage of electricity - I guess chargers etc. That was a bit unecessary. I had "Thou Shalt Not" signs in Hotels - they smack of Rhyll boarding houses (I know my aunty once had one!!!). Also - cant you find somewhere for the staff to smoke rather than at the front - that really make the hotel look grubby which I would assure anybody and everybody it is not. Just saying like....
Location was great as attended a wedding at the Marina which was 2 mins walk. Hotel comfortable for what we needed.
Some floorboards need replacing on 2nd floor hallway and our room as nearly turned ankle. Apart from minor criticism nice hotel
Room comfortable, clean and tea/coffee facilities. Bathroom clean and the shower gel smelt good! We both slept well, a comfortable bed and quiet room. Breakfast next day was good and the polite staff provided the gluten free bread I had requested.
Shower lost power and slightly fluctuated in temperature but it quickly settled to an acceptable flow and temperature.
Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful
Very friendly staff, comfortable room, excellent evening meal.
value was great. bar food and breakfast very good. Room very comforable
