Wonderfully comfortable bed! Great location and good food selection. Very friendly staff.

Sadly there was a problem with the hot water supply but the Manager was very helpful, apologised and rectified.

about the hotel - nothing, everything was good about how to get to the hotel - more road signs for crosby from the end of the M57 would be really good. its not easy to find

Staff very helpful and friendly

The attirude of the staff who were all very friendly and helpful. The facilities in the room were excellent, it was nice to have not only a wardrobe of decent size but also a number of drawers.The food was excellent, both breakfast, evening meal and bar meals. There were good walks available in the area and the railway station was close by if you wished to travel elsewhere.

The only thing was no extractor fan or outside window in the bathroom

Staff were very nice and helpful. My husband enjoyed his cooked breakfast. Food in the bar at lunchtime was good and I particularly liked the smaller portions available. We did have to wait a fair while for it and the bar wasn't very warm, but it was exceptionally cold outside.

Room was freezing and even after we asked for the heating to be put on, they forgot until we asked again. Also forgot the newspaper we ordered. Shower was poor although water was hot. So many blankets and pillows in the wardrobe we couldn't get to the safe. Our room was ok, but not big even by London standards but I thought the second one we booked for my son was horrible- tiny and dingy at the end of a corridor and even colder than ours. I was frankly embarrassed by it as I had booked it as a treat. I did not want a full breakfast and the dry toast, watery fruit, cash and carry jams and not even a plain yogurt were disappointing. Had to sit in dark bit of the dining room although one of the selling points of the hotel must be the wonderful veranda - we were told the part of the dining room with big windows was ready for lunch four hours later! No one asked if everything was ok on check out which says it all. .Would not stay there again.

We arrived evening 8.30 ish after a long drive, your staff were very helpful and pleasant, they advised where we could eat as the restuarant would be closed by the time we had settled in, our room was very comfortable and clean, breakfast was easy, and the dining room fabulous, with it's chandeliers. Well placed to visit the Gormley statues. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Nothing really, only the bathroom window wouldn't open, to much paint maybe.

I was impressed with the spotlessly clean room and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The food is always great.

The usual warm welcome. - We've stayed here many times and find it a clean, comfortable hotel, albeit not in the first flush of youth, convenient for all that Liverpool and the region has to offer. No lift but they will ensure a first floor room if you ask when booking. Be sure to request a sea view!

One evening we ate in the bar restaurant and were a bit disappointed with the meal. Plain, unimaginative cooking. It's probably better to pay the extra and try the more interesting menu of the restaurant.

Lovely greeting - very happy staff - efficient. Warm and lovely, lovely big duvet, cosy and very comfortable. Breakfast all one could wish for - served with a smile. Would stay again definately.

Bathroom rather cramped - nowhere to store toiletries Shower not easy to use - or climb in and out of! Insufficient on site parking on arrival after a long journey

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room very comfortable and food was good.

Rooms aren't very well sound proofed so even if relatively quiet, you can hear next door as if loud. Ear plugs helped with this.

Helpful accommodating staff, good food, solid good quality appointments, comfortable room, nothing missing. I will have no hesitation in returning if I need to stay in the area again. I agree with the review by Stephen - Mackay, Australia.

All the staff were pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The room was very clean, as was the bed and bed linen. The food was excellent.

There was no lift to the upper floors.
