The Receptionist (at midnight) was courteous and very helpful, and still smiling the next morning. Thank goodness the bed at least was clean and comfortable.
The whole place was in need of a coat of paint and generally tatty. The bedroom smelled stale and of cigarette smoke. The bathroom floor tiles were cracked. The shower looked extremely unappetising and with only a high overhead shower was not usable without washing one's hair. No toiletries. The nocturnal activities of the room next door were quite audible, even at 1am in the morning!
Value is good, room is nice, nice place to relax, will be back soon .
Night time was noisy a bit, but still good. Was happy!
Surprisingly good rooms. The bathroom was excellent as well.
Good wi-fi I enjoyed looking back at your description of this hotel as "pleasant". I think someone added the letter "l" to a word that would give a better description of the place.
I recommend bringing and wearing an extra pair of socks. These socks should then be disposed of by incineration. I won't go into any further detail.
Location was extremely convenient. We had an early train into London so was very easy just to stroll over the road to the train station.
Wasn't an issue for us, but if you're a light sleeper you may want to consider bringing ear plugs as passing high speed trains are very loud and continue well into the night.
The reception staff were excellent. Communal areas were reasonable. Proximity to train station
The room smelt of tobacco and was filthy - from the walls, netting at the window, shelving, carpet, 'pitting' in sink and bath, no markings on taps for hot and cold. The TV control was filthy, had limited information on the buttons (worn off) and the TV itself had only sound, no picture. No wi-fi access. Mattresses were very poor. There was no access to first floor for people with limited mobility. Staff in the lounge/diner were abrupt and not welcoming
Friendly staff.Easy check in 24 hour.Convenient location for airport transfer.
lucky we had to be awake by 5 as the man with the industrial jetwash outside at 4.30 woke us up, as did the frequent trains.
The staff were very polite and the comfort hotel was excellent all together!
Decent room size and bathroom
Was placed in a room directly below main train line. Was very noisy.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Location adjacent to the bus stop to Luton Airport as well s the train station.
Horrible sound isolation, one can hear everything! Old building, thus it gives the impression of being dirty, which is not.
The staff are great
No running water; probably due to some night demolition work being undertaken by the hotel (bloke knocking down wall with a lump hammer).
Noise of traind
Staff esp Mgr Richard, Immorla & Liam were nice & helpful. The location of the hotel was convenient to the train station & bus depot.
No breakfast was included in the price booked for hotel stay. Room stayed in on first day was in front of busy road hence it was noisy traffic.
I like the location only
The staff were not help full at all especially the foreign girl was working at the reception was so rude
hair in bed, grubby, stale breakfast, not what was advertised.
Good facilities. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Very convenient
Shabby exterior Being close to the railway station did mean it was a bit noisy
very close to the university where we were working
the railway was too close to allow us a good nights sleep. a continental breakfast is no good for hard working men and so in future we will be looking elsewhere or having breakfast away.
easy to get too. Staff friendly. We have used this hotel before and would do again for a quick stop over very near the center of town and the train station. Was a little noisy from trains if you have a bedroom at the back of the hotel but nothing to bother about.
Headboard was not dusted and seemed not to have been for a while with the amount of dust on it. Shower door came loose when opening and closing so had to be a bit careful . Nothing too bad
The comfort and space of the room
The noise of the trains
Clean Comfortable Complimentary tea & coffee WIFI good signal (Password is on wall I think or in booklet. I think on wall.) Cheaper than most hotels in Luton and not too far.
Difficult to find when walking Expensive location Difficult to fill up kettle in bathroom sink but it possible.
Needed a place close to Luton airport for a 7 am flight so was only looking for basic. This place is just down the hill from Luton's train station and a short walk into town for evening food. Friendly & helpful staff booked a morning taxi for the airport (10GBP). Low cost, basic but clean and did the job. I would use again.
No hairdryer oddly. No parking but that wasn't an issue since I came by train anyway. It's location might be busy (noisy) during the day but night was quiet as I was up and out at 4.30 am.
Fairly good location, near train and shopping mall. Stuff nice and afficianet
At night the area is quit unpleasant and the hotel itself looks old and neglected. The room is OK, but bathroom was not so clean and the cattle was dirty so no more information coffee.
This hotel was comfortable, our room was spacious and the bathroom was really nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The shops, train station and bus stops were practically across the road. We needed to catch a flight next day, it only cost 2 pounds by bus. Found this hotel through booking.com and got a great deal. Thank you.
Location noisy traffic and trains, rooms standard was poor, looked shabby and unclean
I must say they had a laundry service that did all of our laundry for £5. That was great and appreciated.
We were very disappointed with the hotels location. All night trains scream past just across the street. HIGH SPEED trains. The beds are really old as in from the 60s or 70s based on the headboard style. It needs an update for sure. But obviously you get what you pay for. I walked to the grocery store about 6 minutes. Not a good idea. This is a rough downtown area. Not nice at night. No the hotels fault as it was built many years ago. I value sleep, and with the train noise and frequency it was not a nice night. We thought it wa close to Luton airport. Nope. About 15 minutes. I had to drop off my son and son at airport at 430 am. I went back to hotel to try and get a couple hours sleep at 5am. Was informed that sorry I had to vacate the premises. NICE!
