The staff were great..smiles all round..very helpful..the food was top notch and well presented...young chef working very hard in the background deserves an award....
It was quite cheap, very warm.
It was a far cry from comfort - some unwelcoming staff, broken shower parts, very very stiff window, no shampoo or soap, very basic, couldn't get wifi.
Service, food, room very comfortable, overall Excellent and I will stay here again.
Very friendly place and good value
The welcome was good, and the bar staff were very friendly. They clearly lacked any sense of direction from management (apparently there have been a number of managers come and go in recent times) but tried hard.
I arrived on a cold snowy night but the radiator hadn't been turned on in my room prior to my arrival. The room was tired and in dire need of decorating. The shower needed a deep clean as the tiles were showing signs of dirty grout. The bed was "spongy". All in all this place needs bringing in to the 21st century!
The friendliness and efficiency of the staff and the general accommodation
The heat in the bedroom. I was up and down from bed to bathroom rinsing my arms and face with cold water for most of the night and left very early_ a cleaner let me out_ having had very little sleep. Pity
Good welcome Friendly staff Great pub with good vibe
Bathroom mirror light didn't work. Shower head threw a jet of water out sideways which took you by surprise, simple room checks would avoid this.
Really friendly staff. Very good food served here. Massive breakfast! Great value
Good value for money, friendly staff, easy to find and in easy reach of the motorway. Would definately stay again, breakfast was superb
Good location for travel around Lancashire and Lake District. Good value for money- excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly.
Good breakfast and enough to eat. Live music was good, and not too intrusive in the bed room.
Because access to the hotel section is through the bar then if you go out for an early morning walk, you have to knock to get back inside. No key for security reasons I guess.
Great location for getting out and about,
We were in the room at the front, to noisy as it's a busy road if we go back it will be a room at the back great pub but needs some TLC
Staff were very friendly, room was clean and tidy. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was huge and lovely.
Can't comment as liked everything.
Good access to Lake District, Dales and Morecambe Bay as a venue to explore local area. Good access off M6 Good food both at breakfast and an evening meal. Friendly staff Room spacious and comfortable
Stayed for 2 nights staff very helpful food was lovely and not overpriced Saturday night there's an artist on which suited us as we enjoy live entertainment but it's on till nearly midnight and could keep u awake
Comfortable bed, friendly staff
Little more selection required for breakfast menu
The hotel is only about 10 mins of the M 6 and about the half way point on our journey back from the Cairnryan ferry. We have stayed about 3 times now. Great little place for a stop over on a long journey.
warm ,clean, room . comfy bed , great breakfast, and staff who went out of their way to be helpful . What more could I ask for from a two night stay to visit my grandchildren.
Spacious room with good work area. Food choice good and well presented also breakfast.
Needed extra light in bedroom to work. Breakfast at 8am a little late
The attention given to us by the staff.
Nothing, but would not, necessarily stay there for a prolonged period, but could do so, as part of a touring holiday.
Liked the room where bed was comfortable everything was clean and there was nothing to complain about. The Full English breakfast was superb and very tasty.the staff were very helpful and and obliging.
Great location , very friendly staff & what a fantastic breakfast. Will definitely visit again. Happy customers....Thankyou
have to stay our evening meal we both enjoyed the staff were very friendly and looked after us very well same goes with breakfast the next morning
our room was on the front which is on the main road room could seriously do with secondary glazing early morning traffic noise spoilt the visit
It was a handy stop over spot for our travels. Vibrant spot -lots of people in
Had requested double bed - given twin. Did not bother as only there for one night.
Apart from access to the carpark over a very busy road this hotel offers excellent service, good food and friendly staff. Facilities are basic but comfortable. Quiz nights can be a little noisy but finish at a reasonable hour. A very comfortable and enjoyable stopover on our trip around the UK.
Lack of a safe crossing to the carpark, but there's not much can be done about that.
