The staff couldn't be more helpful. The room was very clean.
The bed was very uncomfortable, the decor was grim, and breakfast was remarkably unappealing and served in a very cold room.
The staff were welcoming.
Wasn't staying long enough to try more of the menu.
Great value, attention to detail, well organised and a delicious meal in the bar (the roast only £5!!) Was a last minute booking as a stopover on our way to France, very happy to find the Norfolk, would definitely stay again.
Having to pay extra for breakfast
Comfortable, clean room with a queen Anne sized bed. Nice breakfast, friendly staff.
No reception staff. Shown to room by a barman, very noisy room/single glazed sash windows and busy road outside. Made the mistake of asking for a poached egg at breakfast (it was a big effort!). Bar OK if you like a large TV and pool table. All a bit grim
The shower wasn't very powerful. But that is all I can pick fault with!
It was clean. The room was modern and the bed was comfortable. All the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Good location. Very near to Folkestone and Dover.
Good stopping of point for Dover. Much better than a chain hotel!
Limited evening meal choice
Excellent for channel tunnel
Staff lovely, hotel was really nice and rooms were smart, beds really comfortable. Pub had really nice atmosphere. Lovely and would definitely return for a night
I had no issues with the hotel.
Friendly staff. Family run hotel. Value for money. Rooms maintained to a high standard. Good choice of bar meals in the evening & presented well. Friendly atmosphere in the bar at night.
- if you lay in the bath you banged your head on the sink - basic decor - the breakfast was not good at all
- staff very friendly - talking parrot the kids loved!
Room was very hot due to hot weather and windows would not open wide but staff provided a fan for the room upon request.
Great Location for the beach Friendly staff Lovely breakfast Live band entertainment (Friday night) Value for money Upgraded free of charge Great selection of beers Free parking
Dog friendly. Location.
Loved the the decor of hotel the exposed brickwork lovely old staircase.Spotlesy clean bedroom smelt so clean and fresh and a great sea view .
Noisy main-road - (much better when moved to a room at the rear of the hotel) Limited car parking
Staff friendliness Clean comfortable bedroom Convenient location Nice breakfast
Be nice to have yoghurt and fruit for breakfast in addition to the excellent fry up!
Simple but very clean room with everything you would need for a short stay.
Shower / draught bitter
Room / food / bar
I liked that i could take my dog to the hotel. Cleanliness was very important.
dingy dark hotel, in a poor area of Folkestone. will not be going there again
a bit nit picky but bath towels were a bit small!, some tissues in the room would have been nice as it was a superior room but these are very small things
good location close to the beach a nice walk into the harbour area, bar was lively good range of drinks, breakfast was very good quality, staff were very accommodating nothing was too much trouble
Staff were really helpful and friendly. A lovely warm welcome. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
it as a pub, with rooms above, so not really a "hotel".
the staff were freindly and helpful
The breakfast was cold, served on cold plates and over cooked so bacon was dried up and tomatoes were mushy. Also pub is not a friendly place as locals appeared to resent intrusion into their territory, which would make checking in very uncomfortable if you arrived in the evening. The decor is very dark and uninviting throughout the hotel.
The bed in our room was fantastic!
Its a pub with rooms. I guess its not used much as there were no staff around at 8am the next morning. Unless you don't mind the narrow lanes the location is not ideal for the Channel Tunnel.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was large and very comfortable. They read my comments made when booking so knew we were vegetarians.
