The breakfast and food in the restaurant was excellent. We slept well on the very comfortable bed and woke up to the birds singing.

situation very good, with many interesting places close by. Restaurant very good, and with excellent service. A very friendly atmosphere throughout. A most enjoyable stay, hopefully to be repeated in the near future.

Very comfortable room.Generally, a lovely old building. Lovely views from the rear. First rate breakfasts. Welcoming staff. The surrounding countryside is wonderful (and the garden is almost right in the fields), and very close to Chichester.

Dinner decent but not great. View from our room was over the car park. But we would happily return.

We loved the room and the view, the bed was very comfortable.

I did not enjoy my meal on the evening we arrived, my husband did enjoy his. Ifelt a little sick and spent that night and most of the next day in the bathroom, so did one of our guest that joined us on the 30th Dec . My husband had a full English breakfast, he did not enjoy that.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great, close to Chichester centre but very quiet. Excellent pub and food. The room smaller than expected but the bed was very comfortable with lovely furnishings.

Bit of a problem with flies in December! Shower needed a bit of attention. Felt the room was a little overpriced for a pub.

Lovely old pub which has been tastefully renovated. The rooms are housed in renovated barns behind the pub and has its own garden for residents to sit overlooking the farmland. We liked the mini fridge with wine water, chocs etc and luxury toiletries The food is very good although there has been occasional mistaakes. Good locaton.

I had lamb which was rather rare although i asked for medium to well done they gave me a better cooked lamb but it was still quite chewy and had indiigestion because of it. Bed was too soft . Quite expensive.

Pleasant staff. Clean, modern room. Scenic countryside.

There are no screens on the windows and it was August. This pub is in farm country. The flies were awful. I had twenty flies in my room at one time and spent 2 hours killing them before I could go to sleep. Since there is no air conditioning, an inexpensive screen would make this an ideal place to stay. The food was good but the owners leave the doors open to the restaurant for air and flies, and even wasps, fly around your food. Too bad because the room was great but I could never stay there again because of the flies.

    Beautiful food and wonderful staff

We didn't stay after all. They were fully booked/overbooked and we were accommodated nearby. The hotel offered us breakfast so we were very happy with the arrangements they had made. Thank you Emma and Charly.
