Stunning location & views. Very nice bar below. Delicious food, locally & ethically sourced. Good value for money. Single room overlooking the car park with shared bathroom (though only with other single room) was totally fine for a night.
Great breakfast. Owner really welcoming and great staff. Amazing value. Lovely location. B roads around wend through spectacular scenery. Wales at its best!
Rural location surrounded by places of interest and great scenery; perfect overnight stop for (motorcycle) touring. Also great hosts, ales and imaginative menu with many home made (V & GF) options ~ can recommend the stuffed peppers and hot cherry crumble!!
As mentioned elsewhere, solo travelers get small single rooms at rear overlooking the mini car park, but adequate for a budget overnight stay.
Superb situation overlooking the Dinas valley. Good parking and a comfortable spacious room. Breakfast was excellent.
The bathroom desperately needs a proper shower, or at least a shower curtain or screen. In this day and age it is not really acceptable to have a shower attached to the bath taps. Evening meal was O.K., but nothing special - we weren't even offered a pudding!
Brilliant staff, amazing views of Welsh hills and an awesome English breakfast. You could tell it was local quality produce. If I was in the area again, I would definitely stay here.
Typical tucked away pub with good food and beers, lovely countryside
Good traditional food and drink. Friendly staff. Only 3 miles from my favourite RSPB reserve at Dinas.
Good service and tasty meals
Mattresses too soft.
Breakfast was excellent, and the value for money fantastic, also had evening meal, again very good. I stayed at short notice on overnight business trip, so wasn't able to take advantage of the splendid scenery etc of the local area.
Internet access was a bit hit and miss.
Made feel very welcome, breakfast is second to none, very clean rooms
Good food comfy beds excellant facilities.Lovely management and staff.
Not enough sockets or could do with suppling a multi plug. Maybe a shower instead of a bath in the twin room but that is only my personal preferance.
Friendly welcome, excellent food and decent beer. .Quiet location, we got a good night's sleep
Nothing, (except the weather!).
One of the best places we have stayed in, nothing was to much trouble. From the welcome, helpfulness, the food was amazing, and everything was so clean. Enough breakfast to last us the whole day. Thank you.
Attention to detail. Friendly Llandlord.
Warm welcome, food & mini beer festival
No shower in shared bathroom, rooms need updating.
cozy pub in pictuesque location with great food and service.
Great host Lovely breakfast
The breakfast was very good. My vegetarian son was able to have a bubble & squeak for a nice hearty breakfast. (The cook even suggested it.) Also, selection of local brews & ciders was most enjoyable.
Small (full-size) bed - a queen-size bed would be good in at least one of the rooms.
Landlord and all members of staff cheerful well mannered and welcoming to all.
Despite the warning I missed the step in the corridor - maybe it could be highlighted more?
Staff were welcoming and friendly. Room was compact but comfortable. Food was excellent. Wonderful views and walks.
Landlord was very welcoming the venue was clean tidy well presented and food was excellent.
Nothing it was a great place to stay and excellent value.
very welcoming , menu looked good but didn't eat there . excellent feeling to the Pub itself . would take others to stay there.
Didn't have a shower , taking a bath would use too much time in the bathroom if others wanted to use it ,
