Location great for Weymouth ferry Friendly staff Dog friendly
Hotel had parking but we weren't told about it
room was excellent and staff very friendly
Location good, staff friendly & helpful
Average breakfast, upstairs suite cramped for 4, and not worth £270 for 2 nights
My freinds and i practically hired almost all the rooms and we were very impressed with the size, decor and facilities on offer. Easy parking at rear. Would definately stay again. Lovely Landlady and lovely breakfast in morning.
Loved the character of the place. Nice friendly staff and clean tidy rooms.
The Royal Oak was easy to find and parking available
the dog mess outside my door in the morning!!!
Lovely staff and a great place to spend a night. Didn't get time to have a drink in the bar but asked for glasses with ice for the room and it wasn't an issue. Thought it would be loud as we were in the courtyard but no noise and a very good night's sleep. Lovely breakfast too!
Safe parking , close to the Weymouth ferry terminal
Our room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was good and a 10 min walk from seafront was handy! Also fish and chip shop close by very good! Happy with e'thing
Convenient place within walking distance of the centre.
Room in back yard of a pub - noisy until around 11pm - but only an issue if travelling with young children. I can imagine it would be perfect if a couple with plans for a relaxed holiday!
Room was clean and comfortable. Shower was lovely and hot. Plenty of tea, coffee etc provided. Bus right outside the pub to take you to Kings Statue, or it is a good 15 mins walk. Right on the Dorcester Rd, easy to travel to other attractions.
If the weather is great you wouldnt need to spend much time in the room, but if you have time inside because of the rain, you might feel a bit trapped. The TV was placed on top of the wardrobe and was difficult to see clearly. A fridge would have been handy, even a small one. The pretty garden area was very neglected and unfortunately, there was dog poo outside our area and on the patio. And once a big dollip outside our door, bit off putting.
Allows dogs private parking friendly staff separate garden for guests
our room was right next to a table where the pub customers were having a drink. Unfortunately they seemed to feel the need to speak really loudly but also to make every other word a strong swear word. We tried sitting in the very pretty guest garden, but unfortunately there wasnt any shade and it was very hot. We sat somewhere else in the pub garden section and we could still hear the constant swearing. I feel that the owners are trying to accommodate everyone, but in my opinion i feel that it would be better if the accommodation was not 1metre away from other customers.
Being welcomed by drunk people, the shared facilities, no food available, couldn't work out who were the management/staff and who were the bar customers, stepping over dog faeces and wee in the garden and path.
Breakfast was lovely and didn't feel rushed
Locals in pub did make you feel like you were in a scene from " American werewolf in London" , though don't suppose you can change that
Clean modern room, friendly staff and only a short pleasant walk into the centre of Weymouth
The rear car park was not identified as belonging to The Royal Oak, although it does say for residents use only, perhaps the addition of a Royal Oak name plate could be considered to eliminate doubt for the weary traveller
Clean, comfortable, compact room Well equipped room with good attention to detail Manager made a point of asking the customers about their stay Cute, well-behaved friendly jack-russells Friendly staff
Had to walk through the pub to get to accommodation Had to speak to staff behind bar to check in etc Accommodation located around pub garden though noise was reasonable Wasn't clear where to park-access to carpark via side road
Cosy comfort & breakfast in the morning before setting off on our journey
poor parking facilities & checking in was a bit disjointed
Excellent stay at the royal oak, lovely clean rooms and very nice staff. Will be using for my next stay in Weymouth. Lovely breakfast, great bar, clean rooms and excellent value for money.
We loved the space and the décor of the room, it was very clean and accommodated the three of us so easily. Nice shower and bathroom as well as a secure felling when away from home.
Location, decoration, cleanliness of the room, small but cosy garden
No supper served. But you can find some restaurant in about 10 min walking.
Just spent 3 nights at this Pub and stayed in room 3 which is a family room very spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were made to feel very welcome. Jane invited us to their family BBQ to which was very nice. You don't have to pre-book breakfast at £7.00. We had tea & coffee in our room and a full English breakfast for £5.00. This is not a luxury hotel and if this is what you want book else where. If you want a decent room as a base with the convenience of Tesco express, fish & chip shop, and a cake shop next door with pub facilities eg:- pool table, darts, sky sports and a good outside area this is for you.
when you pull up the outside of the pub is not very good but behind that is a hidden jem the barn is done to a very high standard and would stay there again
can be off putting at the start but dont let that put you off
Nice room with parking space behind the pub... very friendly owner/staff.
A bit far from the old town for the price... but still only a long walk/quick drive
Its a happy feeling place and children friendly walking distance to beach :)) we enjoyed your short stay and definantly recommend to friends and relatives x
Personable pub among the locals. Friendly service-minded staff.
Uncomfortable sofa bed for 5th family member. No wifi in room (but it worked fine in the yard between the apartment and pub).
