This beautifully converted farmhouse is set in landscaped gardens and is close to Dartford, Bluewater and Lakeside shopping centres. It has lovely countryside views and plenty of amenities.

The fact that the hotel never presented us with wifi or told us about it what so ever
Stay away! Even though the bed was comfortable bed and the sheets were clean enough, noone in their right minds would find this place or their rooms acceptable -- no matter HOW cheap...
HORRIBLY DIRTY. Black mould all over shower, which was filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned in years. Rotten window frame, damp patch on ceiling. Only one channel worked on TV, which was positioned in front of wardrobe door. Separate toilet down public corridor.
Great location nice staff in need of an update
Tv didn't work
Location was handy. Room was a decent size. Cathedral view.
Window was rotten and wouldn't close properly. It was very noisy when I was there. Disco downstairs until 1ish, then very noisy party in next room till 4am. Got very little sleep. No one at reception to check me out when I left.
Staff, Card Machine wasn't working, Nobody on desk and took ages to arrive, No WiFi available after 7pm. Wallpaper falling off the wall, Hole in Wall.
The staff gave me a half refund on payment
Unclean and noisy
We liked all Gave been before and be back again
Lack of breakfast but understandable in the circumstances
Historic building in a prime location. Could be a stunning hotel!!
The decorative condition of the room was VERY poor. Decoration has been on going for at least a year & really shouldn't be let out in this state. The television piucture was continuously unstable. Worse, no hot water.
the location was good and for once i actually liked hotel pillows....the bathroom was a ggod size and staff was friendly
the bed was very hard, the tap in bathroom was very hard to turn off..the shower was terrible, took ages to heat up and leaked badly.....there was a problem with the tv and there was a spider in the corner of the room...we had an en suite but other rooms didn't..was kept awake from very creaky floorboards with people making visits to bathrooms and noisily closing doors'
It was not clean and i did not like how we hate to go up stairs and down stairs i have just had my lung out and i can not go up and down stairs the rooms was not clean and we did not stop we hate to stay with family at they home
The location is very attractive.
The Bull building is more exhausted than tired. Tatty and grubby, the Bull is a crumbling mess. The photos in the lobby say it all. Glory days long gone. The room was very cold when we arrived though a heater was provided eventually. We left a night earlier and will not return.
Location great friendly and helpful staff Kim and Kelly get 5 stars each they took care of all our requests
Hotel is in process of being refurbished and the rooms are to be perfectly honest tired looking and room only terms apply, also some rooms do not have an on suit W.C. However this is clearly stated when you book and the price certainly reflects this providing probably the cheapest price in Medway. Great value and staff kindness gave us a happy experience. Wish them well with all the hard work they are undertaking.
I like the fact that the hotel is right in the middle of town, or on the hight street. the old Victorian building is always amused me. and found the pub with live football just on the first floor, is really a big bonus.
well of course the noises, but what do you expect? I was staying at the weekend, so there are party all around. there's no soap in the soap dispenser, I think that is the house keeper mistakes. forget to filled it up.
Location, excellent. Staff, very helpful Carpark, easy access, late key. Plus the fact that it is being upgraded and just not left to go to pieces, even whilst I was there, but it was no problem ! My room was alright !
The fact that there is not a lift.
Nothing except the location
It was cold, no meal meant no breakfast either, I did not expect thast. Shower must have been 40 years old, car park was full I had to park and pay down the road. Room etc was so dated it felt dirty even if it was not
Great view of railway from my room. Suited my love of trains. Superb location in Central Rochester. Very near book shops and great pubs, cafés and restaurants.
No breakfast available due to renovations.
The lady at reception was exceptionally pleasant, friendly and helpful throughout. My room, though old-fashioned, was large, attractively decorated, with lots of storage space, and overlooked the historic High St. It was nice to have a china teapot in the room, not just mugs. There was a hairdryer and TV, but no other amenities. But the location was perfect for the High Street, the Cathedral and the biggest second hand bookshop in England.
I recognise it's an old hotel, but it was looking tired. My bathroom was small and awkward to move around in. All the lighting was very dim, and reading in bed was almost impossible. On one occasion my room had not been made up when I got back in the evening, and although the pleasant receptionist immediately went and did it herself, I felt they should know if a room has or has not been made up. I had no difficulty myself, but their very strict check-in times (no later than 8 pm) caught other guests on the hop. I see no reason why it should be so early.
ITS VALUE FOR MONEY, CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE.
DECOR IS A BIT DATED.
The four poster bed
The place is being refurbished but not bad in the circumstances
The two receptionists were the only staff I saw, but they were both friendly, helpful, empathic and good fun, The location was ideal for my purposes since I was on foot and wanted to be in central Rochester.
There were no breakfast facilities because of a major refurbishment programme - although, in fairness this was flagged up and there are loads of good cafes and pubs doing breakfast. I used Wetherspoons. The room was cold so what it will be like in the depth's of winter, I have no idea. The room I was in was very limited in its facilities: No safety mat for bath: shaver light did not work: lino in bathroom very scruffy: no bedheads: no easy reach for over-bed light: TV miniscule. Again the staff did all they could to obviate these deficiencies and I felt able to cope. But luxury it was not!
The receptionist was very helpful with the telly and taxi numbers.
The room smelt a bit of fresh paint and looked a bit tired, but it was very comfortable for the money.
friendliness of staff when checking in.
arrived back to hotel and couldn,t open the gate to courtyard, causing me a lot of stress. Had to put ca round corner.
The location of this hotel is right on the main high st, finding your way by car is a challege. Best way is by the north off the ring road. This hotel has character by the loads and they are trying to update the decoration. The two nights we stayed there were an experience. The linen was clean and the carpet was new. The beds are comfortable. Around the hotel there are signs of it's age and they are trying to fix it up on a budget. The central staircase has shallow steps and is easy to climb. We do not see this as a disabled access friendly place if in a wheelchair. No lift and narrow passages. To sum it all up, you pay your money and take your choice. Do not expect this place to be a grand hotel Brighton. The hotel does not provide food, but you have a wide choice along the high st. Staff were excellent.
Bathrooms in need of re-fit. Parking is in need of a proper revision. there are too many rooms and not enough spaces. Take your own hangers for heavy coats.
Bedroom was to cold
Great value, good central location on high street, 10 mins walk from train station. Good for if you just want somewhere cheap to stay for the odd night. Hotel has character - the staircase is quite impressive.
The rooms were a bit tatty and in need of redecoration and modernisation. Lighting was not great - quite dim and some of the bulbs did not work. Bit noisy from nearby nightclub. Bed not that comfy but ok for the odd night. Early check out time (10am). Nowhere secure to leave our luggage when we went to look round town after checking out - they let us put them behind the reception desk but it was clearly visible and the desk was not manned at a times.
