Age of decor
Bathroom 203, like school P.E changing room. Rules book in room made me laugh felt like it must have been written by the neighborhood security watch pensioners
It's basic accommodation but the staff are friendly, it's clean and comfortable and good value for money
We were down for a special celebration and there was over 50 of use at woolacombe sands holiday park and just had a fab time
Friendliness of staff always helpful
The room was very tired Bathroom very poor, bath slip mat very dirty, eventually changed after several requests shower broken& poor water flow
Pleased with everything, our room the food. We were only there for bed and breakfast, because we were meeting up with family during the day, We appreciated the car park and entrance for disabled when our daughter picked us up and brought us back.
Both my son & l enjoyed our stay at the hotel, food was good the breakfast set us up the day. The staff were very helpful at all times.
friendly staff efficient service location clean
décor a little tired ...
The location and the food
Beds were terrible - 2nd year we have stayed and this year room 105 beds very poor. Came home with a backache - the mattress on the double bed had a massive hole/gap on one side and the single bed was sloping down one side. unless they upgrade the rooms a bit and beds I won't go again.
Continue with refurbishment but to retain its friendly style
Good location and potential facilities
Aimed mainly at retired folk and against young kids who were obviously not catered for...
Clean rooms and facilities. Good evening entertainment. Water in pool clean and lovely temperature. Good position. Fab views from Restaurant
Rooms old and dated very uncomfortable bed. Area around the pool and showers clean but grubby!
Nothing and leaving
Swimming pool was good although the showers in the ladies changing room were better than in the room
Hotel was very dated and I do feel that small repairs and a lick of paint would make a big difference. Staff were not very cheerful...it seemed like a hassle for them...Balcony to the room did not feel safe !
Good location and easy access.
Poor quality products served at breakfast: Insipid, cold coffee. Deep fried!, poor quality sausages. Tinned tomatoes! Is fresh produce not available in North Devon?
The hotel was amazing, staff very friendly, good entertainment, nice pool, comfy bed's we only stayed there for 1 night but would definitely go back, nice beach just down the road and nice cafe to called the captains table
Beautiful sceneries and walk able distance to beach. Excellent place for short break.
Position, Walking distance to town and beach, Everything was OK
Nothing really. If the Hotel was refurbished and updated the price would double so OK for another couple of years I guess.
Easy access to Woolacombe and the hotel had plenty of parking space. Exactly as we expected and what we wanted.
Friendly staff on arrival, lovely clean room, fresh bedding, awesome breakfast, will be staying again!!!
Breakfast was very good
needs up dating
The room was clean and everything you needed was there the pool was nice clean and warm really enjoyed our stay.
The room was excellent. The beds comfortable. The bathroom large and the shower was powerful. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. The view from the dining room was excellent though our room faced the car park.
When we arrived the man on reception was not at all welcoming. His demeanor was gruff and unfriendly. He was replaced the next day by a much friendlier man who could not do enough for us. The hotel is old and a bit rough around the edges. It was fine for our 2 night stay but I would not want to stay for longer. We could not turn the volume up on the television and as we were situated above the entertainment area we could not hear it and we only had basic channels so that was a bit of a waste of time. The entertainment was ok but a bit Butlins like where you felt you had to hide if you didn't want to be picked on by the entertainer, very uncomfortable for the shy.
