The Strathardle Inn is a beautiful little hotel set in glorious Perthshire landscape. Good home-cooked food sourced locally, fine ales and a roaring fire, what more could you want?
Score from 86 reviews Very good
Good location, friendly anf helpful staff.
The staff were ok, however the American lady was very kind especially when I received my breakfast.
staff were friendly
the first room we were offered was disgraceful. there was a leak in the ceiling, and the shower was the dirtiest I have ever encountered. we were moved to a supposedly superior room, which was better, but still not up to standard I expected. rooms definitely require upgrading
Friendly staff, good breakfast in nice dining room. We had dinner in the hotel bar and that was very good as well.Excellent value for the price as we stayed in Jury's Hotel in Aberdeen the previous week for 4 times the cost and while the room etc was what you would expect for a 4 star hotel the overall experience was not any better, would definitely return to the Royal Hotel.
All you could ever need in a small friendly hotel. Staff and management were second to none and I was made to feel very welcome.
the hotel is well placed in the centre of Blairgowrie. The bar was very comfortable and served very nice evening meal. The rooms were clean and excellent value. Above all the staff went out of their way to be helpful.
The decor of the bedroom wing our room was in was a little dated, and the car park is quite small - but these are very minor moans. Very happy overall.
Poor wifi connection
The staff were all lovely and very helpful. Maureen the owner was very nice and welcoming. (Her staff were full of admiration for her). She served the breakfasts herself and the meals were all good and piping hot. Would definitely go back again.
Staff so friendly and helpful. Room old but clean and comfy. Lovely breakfast
Location , bar, modern decor downstairs , comfy bed
Room was very dated with a badly stained carpet . Would not consider it worth 76 pound a night I've stayed in far better for half that price . Also we were seated and waited 45 minutes for someone to take our breakfast order but breakfast was lovely . Hotels gorgeous downstairs ... Upstairs not so much .
Staff were friendly Meals were good and good value Good location
Car parking a bit tight Bit of a climb up the stairs to the top floor
Staff were friendly and location.
We upgraded to a superior room and would not class this as superior-very basic and a view of a roof top. Felt a bit expensive for what we got. Not the usual little extras like even some toiletries = to us it was just a basic room.
Very difficult parking nearby as car park full
Friendly and helpful staff Reasonable prices
no porridge for breakfast!! decor a little tired
staff food location
rooms a bit dated
Front of house and bar Staff are fantastic. Breakfast was very nice
...well I deduct last decorated in '81 from the original print above the bed and the anaglipta wall paper. The filth in the bathroom on the floor around the towel radiator was years old (not a just missed last time) the mould in the shower replaced the grout. The hotel is run down and needs a lot of investment. Which is very odd as normally in a hotel like this the staff are dejected as well. But not the case here the staff were helpful chatty and a delight 5* to the staff 1* to the establishment....
Good food, comfy bed, friendly staff
Dated decor - a bit tired looking
positive attitude of staff
the ease and comfort that comes from there efforts to give you your stay
my holiday being over and leaving
the food was fantastic, staff friendly and pleasant, bar and restaurant facilities were excellent.liked how you could get a packed lunch instead of breakfast.rooms were basic but comfortable
would be better to have wifi in your room.some tv channels were scrambled and unviewable
Furnishings dated.Car Park too small for hotel of this size. The advertised wi-fi did not work.
Staff great and friendly, location great.
Rooms need updating. They were clean, tidy and functional but old. Also poor access to wi-fi. Could just get a signal downstairs but not in my bedroom. Not an issue for me but business people might not like it.
Staff were excellent
Traffic noise as there was no double glazing.
I enjoyed my time there.
The lack of lifts but only a one story floor.
