I like the Country Pub atmosphere and the choice between an excellent restaurant and good "pub" food. More relaxing than the usual chain hotels Would prefer an earlier breakfast - say 0700 |

I booked the hotel after reading the reviews and I found them all to be accurate. It was an anniversary for me and my girlfriend ans the hotel staff couldn't have been better from organising champagne for us to booking us into dinner. The location is excellent very close to good walking areas, the downs and Box Hill and the food we had in the evening was just superb, you certainly get what you pay for, tremendous. The breakfast too was excellent, there just too much of it!! It was a wonderful night that we spent at the hotel and we will be returning, a real gem. The hotel is part of a pub and so if anything it was slightly noisy but this didn't really affect us. It is difficult to be critical as we had such a great time and loved it. Highly recommended. |

A great blend of the old and new. Lovely restaurant attached to very old traditional inn with accommodation. Wonky floors and beams, lovely. The staff were all wonderful, the food was great and the beds were very comfortable. We stayed here for the Epsom Derby, the staff were great about getting us a taxi there. Fantastic weekend. Not a huge selection for vegetarians, but that goes for a lot of places. |

Very quaint 16th century building, attractively upgraded to provide convivial bar area, restaurant and 6 individual bedrooms. Chef kindly put together a delicious fruit salad for me which was not on the menu. Evening meal prices a little high, but food was enjoyable. |

Great rooms, bathroom etc. Cosy and inviting for supper Checking in... a bit awkward in the pub - perhaps move residents check - in to the side entrance - there is space in the lower hall by the stairs. Breakfast table line-up a bit formal and unwelcoming.... seried rows of tables - a little daunting! |

A lovely cosy old English coach house serving above average foodand comfortable accomodation, I stayed in the Cheltenham room The bed was not long enough. If you're over 5'9" you have to sleep diagonally!. |

Great hotel comibining the old features of 16th Century Inn with modern comfort effortlessly. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the staff first class. As it is a pub as well as hotel it can be a little noisy at closing time |

The food was excellent and the staff very friendly They made a mistake and put us in the wrong room, so we did not have a superior room which we had paid for. They did correct the bill in the morning and apologise but as we only stayed one night it did spoil the experience. |

Room clean and warm, excellent location and great character. Staff went out of their way to be accommodating and the menu was EXCELLENT. Noisy plumbing - but that's the only thing that was an issue. |
