The staff is really friendly and helpful. The bed mattress needs to be changed and the shower flooded the bathroom floor completely. |

Friendly and efficient reception staff. Breakfast menu was varied and service was good. Room overlooking the garden was very quiet. Public transport to city centre was really convenient to the hotel and great value for money. Loads of local amenities, particularly The Reverie cafe/bar. Good food and music. Highly recommended. Unfortunate that the restaurant was not open other than for breakfast. |

The service provided by staff, the very comfortable beds & great location The fact the hotel bar was not opened during our stay, meant we had to go down town at night, we would have preferred to stay & drink at the hotel especially as our 16yr old daughter was with us & had to remain at the hotel alone if we were to go out for drinks |

Location was a 20 minute walk from city centre. Loads of amenities nearby.Good size room which was clean. Retaurant was closed and we were not notified in advance. There was no lounge and the breakfast room was like a school canteen (in rows). |

The service and breakfast were excellent. The staff had responded to each of our requests promptly and with great efficiency. The hotel is perfectly situated and within a short distance and (10-15) minutes from the city center (High street).. |

The room was beautiful. We had a family room that was very spacious. Nicely reno'd. The bathrooms were modern. We felt very cozy in our room. Free wireless. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast that was included with our stay was great.Lots of choices and very fresh or made to order. Parking was available in the front of the hotel. |

Elegant well decorated rooms with really comfortable beds. Our room looked out onto the garden and it was nice and quiet. Free wi-fi and ipod docking station in room were a plus. Staff were really friendly and proprietor May was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good with nice selection of good quality food that set you up for the day. A little outside the city centre, but a nice walk in and good bus service too. |

The family room was ideal for our family of 5. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. It was about 10 minutes bus ride from city center, but very close to Salisbury Crags and hiking trail to Arthur's Seat. We hiked up there each evening and the views were fantastic. Definitely a positive about hotel location. Also highly recommend Craigmillar Castle.About 3 miles from hotel. The sofa bed was not too comfortable, but the positives outweighed this factor. |

The staff were excellent and very happy to advise us on where to eat and even how to start the journey back home! There was always someone on the front desk apart from late at night but even then another couple staying at the hotel had locked their keys in their room and within minutes there was someone there to help them. The food in the hotel was excellent and not very expensive and the rooms themselves were gorgeous, with ipod docking stations in every room which I thought was a nice touch. |

I liked that our room overlooked a garden and we were within walking distance of everything that we wanted to do in Edinburgh. Front desk staff were very helpful. Breakfast staff need further training. |

We realy like this hotel, walking distance from the city center (15 minutes). The room was great, quiet, overlooking the garden and a perfect bed. I-pod speaker the finishing touch. The staff at breakfast. Two girls hardly spoke any English and were obviously nog enjoying their job. What a pitty for such a nice hotel. |

Staff very helpful and willing to offer lots of information. We took a day trip to Lough Ness with an early start and was given a picnic bag with breakfast for journey, without asking for it and also on the morning we were leaving as it was earlier than when the restaurant would be open, they left a tray outside room door for the morning, nice touch, thanks. |
