Generösa rum, vi bodde i ett ca 40 kvm stort hotellrum i nyrenoverat skick. På morgonen serverades en generös god frukost av servieminded personal med gulligt sätt och trevligt bemötande. När vi reste fick vi dessutom rabatt på rummet som då var mer än prisvärt |

Hotellet ligger på bekvämt promenadavstånd fråncentrum, tyst lugnt läge. Bra personal med utmärkt service. Dånande toalett, kvarn och pump var komiskt högljudda. |

Frukosten underbar - yoghurt, färsk frukt, gröt, croissanter, ost, äggröra etc. Trevlig liten trädgård - men tyvärr bara träbänkar att sitta på - vore trevligt med några bekväma möbler så man kunde sitta och läsa i trädgården. Lugnt område, men ändå gångavstånd till gamla stan och några väldigt bra restauranger. Städningen var under all kritik. Vi hade beställt ett twin room - men sängarna var trots det ihopskjutna när vi kom. När vi drog isär dem - ett dameldorado! Vi fick dammsuga själva!! Ingen hade dammat listerna på minst ett år. |

Bra service och vänlig personal. Utmärkt frukost i avspänd miljö. Rummet var ypperligt med modern inredning. De behöver inte spela musik på morgonen för att väcka (?) gästerna ! |

Stort bra hotellrum och frukosten var utmärkt. Hotellet låg relativt centralt, ca 20 min gångväg från city. Inte vad jag kan komma på! |

It is a very comfortable place nearby the city centre with the friendly and discrete staff, excellent breakfats and cosy rooms Due to the season /December/ it was rather cold in the room |

Offstreet parking. Small quiet hotel, good sized room and they room tea tray had Tunnocks Tea cakes!! Despite niggles below, well priced and I would stay again. Poor signage outside, no sign saying Salisbury Hotel! I drove past 1x, as it was 1 way street this was a pain, ended up phoning hotel. Despite hotel information saying breakfast from 07:30 this was not the case. Earliest breakfast is 08:00. They will do breakfast bags the evening before. Reception also opens at 08:00 hours. Advised on arrival that there dining room was closed for refurbishment, was guided to a nice local place. This should all have been clearer at booking to manage expectations. Hotel did refund breakfast and apologised when I called later as I had to leave before 08:00. |

I liked the room, very comfortable. Beautul views, good bathroom, many accesories to make coffee/tea. Great breakfast service. Staff very kind and helpful. Really recommendable. The staff should be at the front desk even at night. Instead there is a telephone number you can call from your room if you have any problems. The hotel is very well conected to the city by many buses, but it is a little far from downtown: 15m walking. We knew it already when we booked, so this is not a real problem. |

The first room we stayed in was a bit small, especially the showerroom, even though very comfortable. The bathroom was loud and the flush didn't really work. The rooms are well equipped : ipod station, good tv screen, comfortable bed. The second room we stayed in was nice, bigger, with a very nice showerroom. Breakfast in the hotel is delicious, big range of choice, friendly staff. The first room we stayed in (Montague) : the showerroom was too small and had not a proper door. The flush was not working properly. |

Owners advice on arrival - very helpful The room, Willowbrae, was much too small for 2 adults to share, with a pump for the bathroom which was deafening. This was not a suitable room it should be used as a single only. The restaurant was also not open due to redecoration, which was not mentioned when we booked so had to go out for a meal when wanted to just stay in the first night |

Receptionist was always helpful. Breakfast was served promptly and was hot. Room was very comfortable and quiet. As the bistro was closed for renovation the receptionist provided some excellent advice re local eateries. |

Extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating hotel staff. Comfortable, clean and stylish bedroom. Good location and great price. Overall an excellent hotel and stay! Breakfast (although included in our price) was not very well cooked and was not how described on menu. 'Do not disturb' function on door did not work. Radiator was temperamental but we were quickly supplied with heater. But overall the hotel was excellent! |

Stayed here Mid November and will be back again. Our 1st visit to Edinburgh was most enjoyable and the vital ingredient to that and any stay anywhere is a good base and a good nights sleep, both of these things you will get at The Salisbury Hotel. Breakfasts were excellent and well stocked, whether full cooked or continental choices. Rooms amazing and spacious, staff excellent and very helpful. Location is about a 20mins brisk walk into the City but bus services are the best I have ever seen, £3.00 per day per adult for as much travel within the City as you can make. 100% all the way. |
