The Samarès Coast Hotel & Apartments  

Friendly and service minded staff (lack of heating in bathroom was fixed in a few hours), nice garden, quiet location of the apartments (away from the main road). Free parking on site. Apartment fully equipped for self-catering, (e.g preparation of a full English breakfast), heating was adequate for chilly early season. Supermarket within 5 min. walking distance.

The apartment wing is facing northwest, meaning that spring sun on balconies and terraces is a late-afternoon phenomenon. Especially for the westernmost apartments, which were partly shadowed by the main complex. So ask for the high apartment numbers (9-12) if you like afternoon sun (or use the ample common facilities in the garden).

This hotel has a star rating of 3 which is absolutely well deserved. All the staff were very attentive and welcoming. Whilst the room was rather small, we had booked a 'flash deal' so we weren't really expecting anything special. Our room overlooked the carpark but we did note that other rooms were a lot more spacious. The room and bathroom were both spotlessly clean and it is clear that much attention has been paid to the overall feel and cleanliness of the hotel. Full English breakfast was more than adequate and fresh, with croissants, cereals, fruit and yogurt available. We didn't dine in the restaurant in the evening but noticed that a number of guests did and the menu was quite extensive. We did have just a started in the bar one evening and again, service couldn't be faulted and the food was delicious. We didn't use either the indoor or outdoor pool as we simply didn't have the time, but again, both looked spotlessly clean. This hotel is very conveniently located as although it's not in St Helier, there is a bus stop right outside with regular services around the island. Also the carpark is large so if you did have or hire a car, parking wouldn't be an issue. The walk into central town is about half an hour. Would definitely return!

A very involved Hotel Manager and very friendly staff. Some staff were clearly new to the hotel but the more experienced staff kept an eye on them and everyone was very professional and friendly.

The hotel is very clean, well maintained and comfortable. Gardens and pool area in particular are very good. The staff are a credit to this hotel being friendly, helpful and efficient. A minor issue was dealt with immediately and in such a way as to cause no disruption to our holiday. The bus stop close to the hotel made it easy to get around the island without having a car. Dining room and lounge area have sea views and the menu and food was good. It's such a well run hotel that I hesitate to mention this minor point but some may find the bedrooms a little small and the bedroom decor dated, however they are not shabby. Easily recommend this hotel and would definitely use it again.

Le personnel, la situation géographique, le petit déjeuner, la salle de restaurant bien dans tout les domaines : mobilier, confort, propreté, espace et en plus avec vue sur la mer

Les fenêtres de la chambre laissent passer un air froid en cette saison : elles sont bonnes a changer et a remplacer par du double vitrage la salle de bain est un peu petite, manque de pression d'eau

L'Hotel è situato difronte al mare basta attraversare la strada. Comodo per gli spostamenti in quanto la fermata degli autobus è proprio accanto all'albergo e con questi puoi visitare tutta l'isola. La camera era al piano terra confortevole, pulita, servizi efficienti ma non abbiamo apprezzato il lavandino situato in camera anziché nel bagno. La piscina coperta con l'dromassaggio e la sauna e tutta l'area adiacente sono molto piacevoli e funzionali ed è l'unica occasione per fare un bagno perché la temperatura esterna dell'isola e il mare non favoriscono la balneazione. La mezza pensione pur offrendo varietà il menu non esalta i prodotti locali rispetto ai ristoranti della zona che prevedono grande scelta di carne locale e pesce come ostriche e aragoste a prezzi accessibili a tutti.

Malgré la vétusteté des locaux, un raffraichissement serait d'ailleurs nécessaire, nous avons aimé la cuisine très bonne et trés innovante,l'accueil du personnel ,une prestation de service au restaurant très haute gamme

Nous n'avons pas aimé: La salle de bain , pour la douche ,le règlage de l'eau chaude est impossible, trop chaud ou trop froid , pas digne d'un 3 étoile, une suggestion: d'avoir une carte au restaurant traduite en français serait une bonne chose,

La possibilité de se baigner, de se détendre: spa...ballades sur la plage...

Nous avons apprécié la chaleur du personnel .

La propreté de la chambre au niveau des toilettes laissait un peu a désirer et l'accès a la chambre etait difficile pour une personne comme moi, invalide marchant avec ne canne.

Le cadre un peu anglais mais pas trop la décoration agréable, le mixte chambre ou appartement, la piscine intérieure, la situation en retrait de st hélier , le bus et la plage devant l'hotel, un beau jardin,

Les rideaux totalement insuffisants pour dormir dans une pénombre acceptable, la formule des petits déjeuners dans les appartements( pas d'accès possible au buffet des résidents en chambre) et la livraison d'un pauvre sac avec 2 croissants...

J'ai apprécié la situation de l'hotel à 2km 5 du centre de St hélier. Cela nécessite de prendre le bus mais c'est plus dépaysant par rapport au centre ville , avec vue sur mer . Personnel de l'hotel très à l'écoute. Menu très bon . Chambre très confortable . Un super séjour

Room small and bed too hard for my back Had thought was booking appartment and it turned out to be double room only . Probably my fault but worth checking if website is clear. Bathroom V. small Chambermaids forgot to replace things Lack of other restaurants nearby to eat at and not have to drive

L'appartement n'était pas prêt lorsque nous sommes arrivés. Nous sommes arrivés à 13h et nous devions avoir cet appartement pour 12h. Nous avons été obligés d'attendre 1/2h sans pouvoir décharger les bagages
