FAQs about hotels in Blackpool

Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea

A favored vaction spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.

On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!

More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognizable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modeled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.

A popular bachelor and bachelorette destination, Blackpool has accommodations ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

We enjoyed our stay in Blackpool.

We enjoyed our stay in Blackpool. There are plenty of places to eat to suit all tastes. I would recommend the Ardwick pub. It's not far from the Blackpool tower. The beer, larger and stouts are £1.80 a pint.

I took my Granddaughters to the plessure Beach and we had an amazing day. The hotel was on the promenade and we used the trams a lot to get a bout . The team stop was just out side our hotel. The second day we were going up the tower which was cancelled as the lift was not working. I think 2 days in Blackpool is enough time to do what you want

Blackpool has so much to offer.

Blackpool has so much to offer. The Winter Gardens for live shows, The piers for arcade action and big wheel etc. to the Hounds shopping centre, The Yorkshire Fryery for your fish and chips, or head to the promenade for a stroll by the seaside and possibly spot "A Walk on the Wild Side" local live YouTuber who gives all the lowdown on Blackpool live every other day!! A few miles away you might want to enjoy watching some highly competitive International RC Yacht racing at Fleetwood Model Yacht and power boat club (just a walk along Laidleys Walk). Or maybe take in some more shopping at Cleveleys along with a coffee, cake or meal at one of the many restaurants. Don't forget to buy your electric tram ride tickets for an unforgettable ride all the way to Cleveleys or fleetwood, then back down as far as StarGate (Not the SG 1 haahaa) although there are sci-fi exhibitions occuring throughout the year at Blackpool. They have a great Zoo too! And a great Hospital if you end up there, like I did a few month ago! Hope this helps you all to have fun. As with any large City area:- Just beware any random FAKE beggers asking for cash. Justs say "dont carry cash mate". The REAL ones never approach or ask you for money". If you feel inclined, wait until you spot the REAL ones who sit around on steps. They wont bite - not so far! Highly unlikely that YOU will be bothered, or even see any homeless hanging around in any event. We have been coming about 3 times a year, for many years now. The locals are really friendly and accomodating if you need help in finding your way. The staff on the trams are outstanding - a shout out to Chelsea and her collegues here! :-) Have fun in Blackpool folks! :-)

The pleasure beach is good fun but expensive especially for 1 adult with 2 small children - A lot of rides only allow children with an adult so these are not available if there is only one adult in the party yet the adult still pays full price but can't go on everything. The sealife centre was good but quite quick to get through, the staff were very good here. The sandcastle was great value and the coffee shop was good value as well. Parking is a bit awkward for here and we ended up paying more for parking than for entrance in to the water park. Bella Italia on Victoria street was really nice for food. Wetherspoon by the Tower was cheap for food but it was awful. Wild west diner was nicer than wetherspoon.

The owners were welcoming, hospitable and friendly. The hotel had a really pleasant vibe and was very well presented comparable to the price. Our room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel and the breakfast was lovely. Usually i would have offered recommendations but for the price it was everything i had expected and more. Parking was a bit of a joint effort due to limited space but fortunately the location is a 5 minute walk to the trams on the seafront from which you can access all of Blackpool.

Conveniently located hotel, in a quiet neighbourhood. It takes a nice 40 min walk on the seafront to get to the Blackpool Tower. Modern and very clean room of a decent size. A bit hard, but comfy matress, and comfy pillows. A nice selection of tea and coffee in the room. Spotless bathroom. Excellent breakfast in a form of an open buffet, with a great selection of options to choose from. Friendly and helpful staff. The Polish-speaking receptionist checking us in was just lovely :)
