Everything! The service from arrival to departure was faultless. A fantastic example of world class service and professionalism.

Excellent location

The lack of a check-in desk. Staff at door a bit off-putting as I felt interrogated as they seemed more interested in finding out why I was there as opposed to welcoming.

The Savoy has been renovated impeccably, beautifully restored. The experience of butler service, and the highest standard in residency makes for a fabulous, enjoyable stay.

Everything was acceptable but not particularly good value compared to Ritz, Claridges etc.

It was not made clear that VAT was added to the price of breakfast. This is a very unusual occurrence in Britain And very irritating. This is the first time that I have seen prices stated without vat in England.

Everything in particular exceptional service

It has been modernised superbly taking care of keeping the old style mixed with the new trendy look. The afternoon tea starts at 1.30 and it is discrete. Guests do not feel overwhelmed by hords of tea takers. Wonderful to have a lounge area where to sit around and meet people. We had lunch at the grill and kaspars ( a pity that one cannot see much of the river now because the trees are huge, all good. The new Beaufort bar built on the old stage is well attended and has a lot of character with music playing. The American bar is also different and the new carpet is not for our taste but one can't win them all. the butter service again excellent We own Travel & Leisure group and stay often in luxury hotels and advise our clients of the best And to us Savoy is definitely one of the best in London.

We had some difficulties with our reservation. First we booked one junior river suite for 31st may with request for higher floor due to my husband ldisability he spends many hours in the room. We were told there was no availability for the 30 th with river view so we booked a Delux king room instead. Savoy called us sometime later and offered a junior suite no river view for over £1,000 which we refused. Then it was possible to book a junior suite NO river view with an automatic upgrade to one with rice view like ours for the 31 st so we did not have to move. We paid some £400 extra and again specify higher floor level - no problem. When we arrive we were given a 3 rd floor where the river view is obstructed but after some discussions we could have a 6 th floor but a bit later as guests still there. At about 3 pm my husband was told that 6 th floor suite was not avail as the other guests were not leaving but he could pay an extra £600 and have a 8 th floor suite. In the end we paid £500 extra got a much bigger suite but unfortunately without full lengths windows, making view restricted for someone who needs to sit down In conclusion our reservations and the whole process left tired and disappointed. We discussed the matter with somenone senior in the reception and were assured that something like this would never happen again. A note would be made to it. We will write to savoy just for the record. We couldn't fault though the staff attitude throughout - excellent.

charging for the morning paper thought it a bit tacky as paid for the luxury of staying there - nowhere else I've stayed has ever charged for the paper

the staff were superb in there help, care and attention to detail. everything about our stay was just so memorable. this was a very special occasion for the two of us and it went above and beyond our expectations. we cannot thank everyone enough. just superb.

The whole experience of staying at such a luxurious hotel.

The fact that I had emailed them to organise a special champagne breakfast for my partners special birthday and they had emailed confirmation, however on the day they said they knew nothing about it.

I had an email from the Savoy asking me to fill in what I would like to make my stay easier, I returned this, and nothing was done, I had to call down for everything I asked for on this list.

The bed sheet was very dirty, Actual foot print on it . Service was attentive, but patchy at times
