The welcoming checking Staff at the swimming pool The food the atmosphere Comfortable bed.
The Sauna was out of service Apart from that it was the perfect birthday present.
The Grill Room food is excellent and all the staff are attentive especially in the bar.
The facilities are pretty average for a luxury hotel. It is seems less of a hotel and more a place for a luxury treat of High Tea or a few drinks. We felt overwhelmed by the visitors and a bit neglected as staying guests who were constantly being fitted into corners.
Overall service, building,bars, accommodation excellent.
Kaspers restaurant very slow service and poorly organised. The Savoy Grill not actually owned by the Hotel made us wait 90 minutes for a table despite booking. Other guests were also complaining about the same problem. Once seated food and service was brilliant.
People are really nice and helpful! They seem happy helping you.
When you check in, the registration continues to offer a better view for an upgraded cost rather than gratis.
Don't have room 359 356 very noisy outside window of room no sleep
Excellent service from the moment we entered the hotel. A smooth and efficient check in. We were upgraded to a king room which was much appreciated. My partner was celebrating a special birthday and we were surprised by a beautiful little cake delivered to our room with a greeting inscribed in chocolate on the plate. That was a very nice touch. Everything about the room and hotel was absolutely splendid.
I do not think a hotel of this magnitude needs to charge for wifi, especially with the price of staying there. Also the in room mini bar prices are very high. But the reality is if you can afford to stay there then you shouldn't be concerned about other costs.
Staff are excellent Catered for vegans brilliantly
Inefficient staff Very disappointing room. Will go back to the ritz our next stay in London
We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea while listening to wonderful piano music in very lovely surroundings. We also enjoyed cocktails in the two bars. The cocktails were thoroughly enjoyable and we also enjoyed the music.
There was not anything we did not like.
The staff were helpful, the bed was extremely comfortable. Lovely view from the room once we were upgraded free of charge. Lovely birthday cake was sent to my son's room when told another cake was sent to the correct room.
The post code did not take us to the correct address on the satnav. The first room overlooked scaffolding, after explaining it was my 60th Birthday weekend celebration. Upgraded us with a river view. No tea or coffee facilities.
On arrival, we were guided to the reception area where our reservation was confirmed. The receptionist then gave us a guided tour of the facilities available after which we were escorted to our room. The leisure facilities overall were excellent. The pre show meal at the Savoy Grill was a perfect start to the evening. On returning to the hotel we enjoyed a night cap in the relaxing atmosphere of the Beaufort bar. Then a very comfortable nights sleep before our onward journey.
Having recently enjoyed a visit to Bath's Therma bath spa may I suggest the hotel installs a larger steam room for family and couples to share the experience.
Close to the Savoy theatre. Kaspars restaurant was very good. Service was good.
Everything was over priced and therefore not good value for money
We have stayed in some of Londons most prestigious hotels and this one was by far the best ! 5*
Wonderful spacious room, windows that open, fantastic bed,
no coffee/tea maker
Room service always incorrect.
The hotel was very luxurious and everything done to a very high standard.
It did take 3 attempts (going down from the 8th floor to reception) to get the telephone to work. It turned out this was important because in the middle of the night a fire alarm went off. Attempts to call reception got no answer and the alarm went on for some time. Complaining about this on checkout the following morning produced a seriously disinterested response and certainly no reduction in room rate.
We were in a river view room and that was awesome. However somehow this place felt more like a public attraction than home for the night. There's no doubting the building and decor is top class but it still doesn't have the exclusive homely welcome feel that Claridges does. The rooms were very clean and comfortable but we did have a leak in the room from above ? like brown sticky stuff and lots of it which landed in the hallway and took a while for them to attend to. Overall nice hotel in a fantastic location and a pleasant Stay.
Excellent food. Staff friendliness and willingness to talk and take time with customers.
The bed liners can make the bed overly warm, but its comfort makes up for this. Wifi might have been free for a limited period rather than charged at cost.
All of it !!!!!!
The whole Savoy experience was memorable and one we will be having again.
Disappointed that WiFi is not a free service.
paying for wifi
Superb service and attention to detail
Having to pay for wifi is a bit outdated.
From the moment we arrived we were treated warmly and positively. The staff manage to be polite and friendly whilst maintaining decorum. Everything about our stay was wondrous, from the High Tea to dinner at Gordon Ramsey's. We will never stay anywhere else whilst in London. The location is superb too!
