Good All round accommodation
Free parking and good location
Small rooms but okay
Easy to park and not too far from beach and town centre. Room was clean and warm. Staff were friendly.
Location and parking were about the only winning features of our stay
The room was in no way big enough as a family room a double at best, the fact that it it had a double bed and and a double with single bunk bed meant there was no room to sit or pass . No drawers or adequate wardrobe and no proper table surface. No hot water and the taps were impossible to turn on or off they were that old. Noise levels were dreadful from both the other guests and workmen. Booking stated lift to all floors but didn't mention the annex. The room is no way comparable to example shown and at best could only be described as a double !!! As for the disgusting state of the carpet least said the better. Upon leaving we were not even asked if we had enjoyed our stay which to be honest speaks volumes.
bed uncomfortable and very small could harldy move in shower/toilet room also
The place was warm and staff hospitable. Lovely comfy memory foam bed resulting good night sleep. Breakfast was nice too. Relaxing weekend.
The lack of wifi and poor shower which u rely on without bath.
We liked the hotel facilities mixed with the privacy of the travelodge
stayed here before on business and will do again nice rooms, good location helpful staff
Location was good. Receptionist very pleasant and helpful. Car Park.
Shower was just a trickle and took ages to warm up. Bed Very uncomfortable.
we did enjoy our stay at the lodge staff are really good breakfast was great we love scarborough and we had a lovely time walking around thank you william linda
we cant think of anything
Perfectly adequate in comparison to the Travel lodge. Nicely decorated, comfy bed, lift and wifi. Would go again and would recommend. 1 member of staff was a little weird but not a deal breaker.
1 male member of staff was just a little weird and not all that help full but all others great.
Great location, have stayed at this hotel before and rebooked. Lovely bed for such a low budget hotel. Nicely decorated room with plenty of space. Warm temperature and great tv.
Having stayed here before I was eager to book again. However, receiving a different room resulted in a not so good experience. Being female with long hair, a shower before a big night out id travelled far for was vital. Only to receive the tiniest trickle of water at a luke warm temperature. 30 minutes later, id finally rinsed the shampoo.. shan't book the hotel again through risk of this again.
enjoyed our stay at the lodge , beds were really comfy , room was nicely decorated with everything matching, would stay again , staff were helpful and friendly , staying again soon and looking forward to it ....Alma, manchester
no wifi available while staying in rooms
Staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable about local area and facilities for young family out of season. Very reasonable price set in lovely location. Five minute walk from both South Bay and Scarborough town centre.
Shower in room 42 a family room unusable, unable to shower young daughter due boiling water, which was a trickle at best. This affected hot water tap in bathroom which also came out at boiling temperature. Family size box of condoms found under bunk bed.
I liked the location as it was out of town but still near enough to walk everywhere
There was a bit of noise when we were staying but mostly from children enjoying themselves in the passage
Close enough to the south bay of Scarborough.
We had room 27: avoid if you can. I had made clear to the hotel via email that it would be two adults, one teenager and a 3 months old baby, and they gave us a room in which we could not even stand up all at the same time. It was clearly NOT the family room you can see on the booking website. Ours was half the size! The furniture in the room comprised of a double bed, two bunk beds, a tiny table, two chairs and a small desk. No wardrobe to place our stuff. We had to put everything on one of the two bunk beds. The hotel provided a travel coat for the baby, but it was badly stained, so we let the baby sleep in her pram. The room had single glazing windows, which did not even close hermetically. This was not ideal for a 3 months baby in a cold late October and with broken heating on the first night. The toilet was small and smelly and the shower was tiny, with no water pressure at all: it took half hour to have a shower. The cleanliness of the room was VERY poor: the carpet felt wet and damp; we could see toothpaste stains in the toilet when we arrived. They did not hoover the room either. They did not even change the bin bags in the toilet in 3 days. Everything was crooked and cracked. Even the hook on the toilet door was not screwed in properly. All in all, the room was small and damp. Not a pleasant stay.
Nice themed room
Tiny bathroom. Receptionist more interested on answering phone then check in us in
Good value for money, friendly staff.Would go back.
The staff were really helpful
The uncomfortable beds!
We stayed in the Marilyn Monroe room...very small and the wallpaper is awful. Barely room to walk round beds. Old and tired looking decor. Not worth the money.
Hotel was Fairly Clean And the Receptionist on Arrival was Lovely
Poor Location No Hot Water, so therefore unable to use the Shower and on the 1 occasion that we had Hot Water it lasted for 10 minutes. Poor Customer Service we complained about the Hot Water and was told that the Manager would ring us and we've been home 2 days now and heard nothing from them. Noisy although its not completely the Hotels fault, they had accepted a large booking of young people who were shouting and Laughing until 2am in the Morning. In my opinion if your a Hotel and cannot give the bare minimum that is washing facilities then you should offer your guests alternative accomadation where they can, We were no the only people complaining
Friendly and helpful staff and the themed rooms
Not enough car parking spaces
