All of it
Facilities were good in our room. The room was spacious. Restaurant food was good. Breakfast was an ample meal well cooked and presented. The room was clean and serviced daily. The bed was comfortable.
Taking the luggage up two flights of stairs. Parking off the site on the road.
Found to be extremely clean throughout, staff were friendly, the hotel has good views over the north sea. There is no lift to the floors so may be a problem for disabled travellers. Food was of a good standard with plenty of choice at breakfast. Some of the beds were a little uncomfortable, but no doubt this will be addressed in the future. The shopping area is around 800mts walk with enough attractions to see and plenty of good places to eat.
Beds are a little uncomfortable
View, warmth and friendliness of staff.
The bed was a little small and hard for our needs husband has a back problem, got the feeling we did not fit in with other holiday makers.
We enjoyed our stay here at the hotel and at whitby, it was our first time here and would be returning again
Breakfast was great and staff were great
The bed was very small and uncomfortable. Cobwebs were around the window inside
Comfy bed. Very good location for Spa and Metropole. Staff very helpful in carrying our cases upstairs when they saw us struggling.
Parking was tricky but not impossible. Parallel parking abilities essential!
All of it
As above. Nice place, very friendly and helpful staff, very relaxing.
Dining room needed some background music. Quite sterile as is. No top sheet, only a warm doona (in summer).
Good comfortable hotel and excellent staff. Food was good. The hotel was of a good standard and will be booking again for next year. An ideal stay for the town and beach.
The stairs but no problem.
Breakfast great. Nice touch with binoculars in room to watch little boats ect, great view from room 14
Good breakfast portions. Dinner good value
I have just had a pacemaker fitted, so walking up 3 flights of stairs was very tiring. Could of done with a little light music as a background in restaurant to break the silence.
Breakfasts where brilliant Staff so hard working they are amazing.........
Sad that didn't get a sea view room as e.mailed
rooms were very comfortable, loved the bed, and the view (mine overlooked the cricket pitch). friends had an ocean view...wish they all had ocean views! but really, loved my view-it was so English. The breakfast was very good and generous. Loved the fact that the hotel was away from the crush of the village, had a wonderful view in front, with an expanse of lawn, walking paths, benches for resting and chatting and just gazing out at the ocean. The location, I believe, seemed to evoke more of what a vacation would have been like there in the past. Taxis were quick, responsive, easy.
i can't think of a thing. it was a combo b&b and small hotel. loved it. maybe if the windows could be opened more to allow for more of a breeze....
very clean good breakfast pleasant bar area
3rd floor room was in the attic and had a lot of low beams, the bathroom also very small and difficult to stand up in if you are over 5ft tall. very odd bath and shower arrangement that meant you had to kneel in the bath if you wanted a shower
Good breakfast, very clean
Booked a sea view for friends birthday , didn't say the room was up three flights of stair in attic room both friend tall ,also small bath in room and shower couldn't stand up in , very disappointed as night away was a gift from work friends .
Staff very friendly
Didn't offer newspapers in the morning
Lovely room, nice and clean.Staff very friendly, excellent location, asked for a sea view and that's what we got. Great choice for breakfast. Would recommend to friends and family.
Nice staff & friendly. Very clean. Nice location
Parking could be a bit of an headache.
Clean rooms, nice breakfast, friendly staff.
Baths were very small, showering was a challenge.
The location of the hotel, nice views and reasonably quiet.
We were in a cramped room at the very top of the hotel, three flights up with no offer of help for our luggage
We had room 14 which had excellent views of sea. Everything was very clean and staff very helpful. Breakfasts very good with a reasonable choice served by pleasant helpful staff.
We are a mature couple and found having to carry our luggage up 2 flights of fairly narrow stairs was difficult. We were very surprised at the 4% surcharge for paying the bill. When booking credit card details were taken as guarantee but there was no mention of surcharge to pay. No booking fee but a 20% deposit was taken the day after booking.
Food excellent Staff excellent Facilities excellent
Bed hard Pillows hard
My mother in law was very excited by her wide sea view and the binoculars which were supplied. My wife loved her kipper for breakfast. I liked that from my room I could see the sea, the nuns next door, and the hotel pet rabbit.
