Genuinely found the place excellent but one might mention the food in particular. The breakfast was excellent but we invited friends to dine with us in the evening too. The dinner menu was really good, the service superb and the wine - we had a bottle that was on offer - in line with everything else. We will be returning, provided they have vacancies when we wish to visit.
Comfortable, clean room, wifi, well equipped, good breakfast.
hard-working,but overstretched staff. local girls,(good to see)-put in a really good shift under pressure. Very comfortable, quiet bedrooms spotlessly clean. good number of parking spaces.
breakfast was disorganised-only 2 girls to clear up after a large party eventually finished eating. 3 couples had to wait 15 mins. until we could be admitted then waited 30 mins.for our cooked breakfast to arrive. I eventually got what I asked for--my wife found her poached egg cold and hard--not very impressive. extra teabags had to be requested for our room--only 2 supplied! - -this seems to be an issue in uk.inns/hotels. yes,the basin tap in the ensuite did miss the basin--interesting design!
Staff were great and friendly room was comfortable and clean and food was delicious
Helpful staff Fixed priced two course meal with a good selection Good location Reasonable price
Confusion over weekend breakfast start time
We asked for soya milk and this was provided Breakfast was excellent and very well presented
The shower cubicle was a little small and the shelf was in an awkward place (Room 3)
Food in the restaurant was very nice. Room very modern and tastefully decorated.
Reception was in the main bar so had to drag suitcase into bar which was difficult.
The outside of the building really doesn't reflect the inside. Looks grubby from outside bit inside is stunning
The food Helpful and friendly staff Being able to park outside
Small room Cramped bathroom Only 1 chair Distance from town A little expensive for what you get
The room was great. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.
Didn't think the evening food was very good. Portions were massive. The bread was stale.
Friendly staff, room was quiet and clean
Since it's located quite a way out, I had to take a taxi for each of my round trips to Sunderland.
Great comfy bed, excellent breakfast.
Small compact overhead shower made a leisurely shower a challenge. But ok.
Nice food, really comfortable
Location was really convenient, just off A19. The room was really modern, clean and great quality. The breakfast was really lovely - all cooked to order. Overall great value for money!
Convenient for A19. Very comfortable accommodation, friendly staff and excellent meals. We -recommend the evening meal as well as the included breakfast.
Very friendly, food was excellent, rooms were great.
The basin tap not placed over the basin enough causing pools on the surface.
No Earl Grey tea available. No natural yoghurt. No re-fill of hot drinks offered.
Nowhere to put anything down in the bathroom, no hook on door, space around washbasin etc.
Breakfast was excellent and the service was warm and friendly. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable.
The rooms were hot and opening the window introduced a lot of road noise. Dinner was only OK, but this is probably because we arrived late and the restaurant was incredibly busy.
The check in was swift and efficient. Staff friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. Lovely outside seating area for an evening drink.
One staff member at breakfast sneezed into her hands and then continued to serve customers!
Lovely bathroom and comfortable bed, staff friendly helpful enough when around.
Short back hair on my pillow!! Light fitting hanging out of ceiling Telly Ariel not working fully Basic facility's for £90 a night stay... Very Dusty side tables
We were made very welcome. It was really enjoyable.
The rooms were modern and clean. The staff were very helpful and polite. It's close to the A19 & the A1M. Quiet at night.
Beautiful luxurious bedroom. Huge shower with piping hot water. Lovely toiletries. Great tv. Breakfast was very high class and delicious. Cleaners hard working and helpful. Restaurant staff excellent. Evening meal outstanding. Atmosphere and decor in Inn lovely. Top place. Near beach and pretty coastal town of Seaham. Short drive to Durham UNESCO site and Sunderland.
Lovely boutique style rooms. Food in restaurant delicious and reasonably priced.
Very friendly staff we felt really relaxed.
The basin tap over flows.and the shower was a We bit on the small side.but we did have a excellent visit.
