Good location. Owners made you feel at home. Breakfast was excellent.
Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Perfectly located next to tram station for High Town.
Family room right at the top of the building, not convenient with a small child.
Convenient. Quiet in room considering location.
No parking, dated decor, some lights don't work
Owner exceptionally helpful.
Parking really only available a distance away
Parking.... or rather, the absence of any
The service provided by Caroline and Robert was fantastic. My parents used to own a similar business when I was younger so I know what to expect. They were courteous, helpful and assisted their guests in any way they could. Also, the price for the hotel was great as I was expecting it to be a lot dearer. Keep up the good work Robert and Caroline!
The only thing that I didn't like was the Wi-Fi connection. The connection itself was not very strong, it kept disconnecting me from my device. I found it difficult to do some business related work.
Generally not bad! Breakfast good, pleasant people, a little dated but you get what you pay for, so 7/10
The owners were very friendly and not obtrusive,I asked for an extra night which was dealt with right away (a compliment in itself), they were able to give useful local information
For someone wanting to play golf the weather wasn't the kindest unfortunately something that Mr and Mrs Weston could not fix!
Great location to lower town and upper town. Very nice owners who were extra accommodating. Wi-Fi worked well.
Parking was a short walk away.
Breakfast times was to early for a Sunday morning 7.30 till 9
The fact that I was too drunk to travel home, Mr & Mrs Weston made an allowance for me to stay in my room till midday, (normal checkout 1030) meant they actually care about their guests. The breakfast choice was outstanding, I had full English (gotta be done!) I think the couple looked after all their guests really well. The room had very handy little things like cotton buds in the bathroom, and two 1/2 litre bottles of still water (brill for combating a hangover!) Mr & Mrs Weston were polite, friendly and accommodating. Very very well done
Only two minor gripes, bed too soft for me, but perfectly acceptable for one or two nights. And the shower was a bit lame but again, fine for a night or two.
The Severn Arms Hotel is located in the perfect spot, overlooking the river Severn, with plenty of cafe's, tea rooms and restaurants nearby. It is very good value for money. It is clean and the owners are very friendly, helpful and kind. They cooked a very good 5 star breakfast in the morning and went out of their way to make the hotel experience an enjoyable one. Highly recommended. 5*
Bed, Breakfast and welcome
The breakfast was the only good thing we enjoyed
The sewage smell in the room the cleanliness the price for what we got The wifi was none existent in the room very disappointed with everything well over priced for what we got
I think the fact that the hotel is out of the Upper Town was a plus, and with the funicular railway right next door (never heard!), easy to go back up. Also a short walk to the Severn Valley Railway (£3 to park all day) station. Several eateries in the Lower Town for the evening as well. Your hosts are friendly and great to chat with, cooking a nice breakfast as well. As an older couple we enjoyed our stay.
Main thing is lack of direct parking. There is parking just 5 minutes walk away over the bridge. But beware ... it is three car parks in one. The first section is a council one, the other two seemed to belong/named after the two pubs they are behind. Not expensive, but watch how they use their times.
Personal and very friendly. Fantastic breakfast. Picturesque location.
Car parking is remote. Not quite as bad as it first seems and not really much further than walking across a very large hotel car park - at least the walk is across a beautiful bridge across.
Excellent location and very friendly staff. Very convenient for local attractions
location and view from front rooms
Superb location right on the river. Amazing breakfast!
Stayed for just 2 midweek nights. I received a warm welcome and was shown to a spacious single room at the front of the hotel. The room looked directly over the road bridge that crosses the River Severn. The room was very clean and comfortable. Everything I needed was provided. The shared bathroom was also spacious and clean. Again, everything needed was provided. The shower was excellent with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was excellent. There was a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juices etc followed by a delicious, and generous, full English breakfast, toast and unlimited tea or coffee. A great start to the day. For those who prefer not to walk up to the High Town, the cliff railway is practically next to the hotel. I was made to feel at home by very friendly, helpful hosts. I would definitely stay again if visiting Bridgnorth.
friendly reception, helpful with storage of sports equiptment. fine food. fantastic position. have stayed before with a group of 4 couples on their first visit to the area and they are looking to visit again later this year. I'LL BE BACK
Friendly Staff and prompt service
Lack of parking at the hotel, noisy revellers at 02:00 which disturbed my sleep.
Ideal for fishing! Right on the river and next door to the fishing shop!!
