Close to the town and beech
Didn't refill the coffee for the second morning
Felt like a family home - old furniture, rugs, books - with all necessary comforts such as really hot water, outstanding breakfast, shelves of books and the delightful Marlene.
Inconsiderate people going home noisily outside.
Very conveniently located around the corner from the castle and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and the boardwalk. Great breakfast for only 1.50 each. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Not well sound-proofed so could hear traffic and other guests. No dedicated parking spaces.
Bed uncomfortable No TV Broken furniture No central heating No Double glazing Dated bathroom Freezing toilet Tired decor Musty smell Limited breakfast choice Bad value for money
Feels like a home, not a BB. Hostess works hard to run this place and she does a great job too. Breakfast and coffee was great Thankyou!
Staff were excellent but ill-equipped to provide to provide good-quality service.
Totally inadequate heating. I was offered additional heating but should this have to be done. Even with the room heater there was ice on the inside of the window
Location Staff Cleanliness Excellent continental breakfast Lots of books
Poor heating arrangements Shared bathroom with several others
Comfort and convenience. Would recommend...
Wi-Fi. I would have preferred not to have it.
Cold, noise, poor bed,
Brilliant food, brilliant beds and outstanding showers at an amazing price.
Staff`s friendliness and their care of guests` feeling of relaxation, amazing library, cosy dining room / patio with a transparent roof and a choice of food for breakfast there
In my room (probably the smallest one in the house) there was no way to plug a kettle (provided). It would be nice to have a tiny radio
Friendly staff, very clean room, great breakfast, good value for money
The only problem was that the room was a bit cold
easy walk to see interesting things and eateries excellent continental breakfast-huge choice and plenty of it very pleasant host
narrow street no parking avail and hard to find
The staff were very attentive even when the fire alarm was accidentally activated. Breakfast was great value for money and whilst 'continental' had something for everyone. Dog allowed to stay at no extra cost. Location is great for harbour, seafront (promenade) and also town shops and restaurants.
Shared bathroom down two flights of stairs. Room clean and tidy but tired decorations and a slight leak when it rained.
The owners were extremely helpful and make you feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble
The mattress was very wobbly! It was not comfortable and could feel springs underneath.
comfy bed, central location, tea coffee in room, breakfast, friendly and helpful staff
Top floor rooms too far from loos and shower but I was moved to a lower room so thankyou
Perfect location, Dogs can stay with you and Free of charge! Free WiFi and very good signal. Good welcome staff.
No parking. Cold in a bathroom and dining room.
Had everything required for a good nights sleep
Good location, easy walk to shops and beach. House very clean, no problem sharing bathroom as separate toilet also. Good amount of tea & coffee in room. Lovely continental breakfast lots of choice.
It was nice and clean pleasent people
Stairs to bathroom and no television basic breakfast no parking hard to find
This is our second visit and love the unique selection of tea and coffee. It's worth staying for the wide selection of continental breakfast its the best b&b breakfast we have had.
Just a shame its a shared bathroom.. No problems though as no queuing as there is a separate toilet.
it was a really lovely calm clean and really beautiful hotel .The breakfast was extensive and really good value for money.
the only thing was there was no radio or tv in the room but not too much of a problem as we were there to look arround the university.
lovely will come back, lovely staff
Amazing continental breakfast choice. Best ever in fact. Beautiful teas & coffee selection in room from a specialist shop in town. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Books everywhere. Quirky. Very clean. Free WiFi.
Noisy. Street noise carries at night as the usual quota of insomniac students wander home.. Noisy inside. Love the rug and floorboard look but prefer sleep. No sound insulation on landing/stairs. No mattress protector and bed quite lumpy. Shared bathroom (however, perfectly clean and a good size). No TV but take your tablet, laptop or read a book.. Room TINY. Don't take a cat and attempt to swing it. More hooks please, nowhere to hang anything!
Very kindly staff. Calm and quiet area. Ok price compared to other places in Aberystwyth. If going to Aberystwyth again I'd try another place to stay.
No sound insulation, could here most of what happened in the other rooms. Rooms were very small. Quite high price for a very small room and shared bathroom. If going to Aberystwyth again I'd try another place to stay.
